Top Madrid Gay Hotels

The capital and largest city in Spain is Madrid with its 3.5 million residents.  It is best known for its artistic and cultural heritage.  Madrid is also renowned for its diversity in cuisines and its exciting nightlife venues.  The accommodations in the city are considered some of the most outstanding in Western Europe.  Interestingly enough, the city of Madrid caters to a rather significant GLBT (Gay, Lesbian, Bi-sexual, and Transgender) community.  There are a number of outstanding gay-friendly hotels in the city as well.

The following is a list of some of the top Madrid gay hotels to consider whenever you are visiting Spain’s capital city:

Hostal Maria Alcazar II – this newly refurbished hostel is located in the midst of Madrid’s city center only a few minutes leisurely stroll from the Puerta del Sol.  It is located adjacent to the Gran Via and the Plaza de Callao and is only a five minute walk from the Cibeles, the Plaza de España, and the Plaza de Oriente.

Hostel La Fontana– another hostel located in the central part of Madrid that was originally constructed in 1884.  The environment of this hostel is unrivaled anywhere in the city and has become famous thanks to the excellent personalized service that is offered.  It offers a high quality of service at comparatively low prices, it is impeccably clean, and there is security on duty 24 hours a day.

H2 Gran Vía Apartments – situated within the confines of a newer building adjacent to the Gran Via of Madrid’s city center it is a smaller accommodation complex with only a single 1 bedroom apartment and 3 studios.  All of these were renovated in 2008 and there is an elevator (lift) in the building.

Hotel Petit Palace Tres Cruces – situated on the Plaza del Carmen around the corner from Gran Via is this boutique hotel located in Madrid’s historical center.  It is less than 500 feet (150 meters) from the Gran Via Metro Station and less than 1,000 feet (300 meters) from the Puerta del Sol.  The rooms of the Hotel Petit Palace Tres Cruces feature a hydro-massage in the bathroom, flat screen satellite TV, and FREE Wi-Fi.

Hostal Alcazar Regis– a thematic type of hostel that is decorated in late 18th century and early 19th century genre.  Ancient doors, coats of arms, emblems, lamps, and pictures provide the interior atmosphere of those past Madrid historical periods.  It is situated on one of Madrid’s busiest streets and is surrounded by metro and public parking, retail shops, and  classical theatres.

Hotel Petit Palace Italia – a boutique hotel situated around the corner from the Gran Via and situated between Telefonica and Prisa media group’s corporate headquarters.  It is located in close proximity to a number of Madrid’s historical monuments and a number of tourist attractions.
