Kerry Simon at the LA Market in the JW Marriott Hotel in Los Angeles:

Kerry Simon, is executive chef at the LA Market restaurant in Los Angeles, where he uses locally sourced organic ingredients in his Mediterranean inspired dishes. These have more than a little of the Far East added. If you’ve still got a hankering for burgers, however, then this is the place for you. They are one of chef Kerry Simon’s signature dishes and he was the winner in Iron Chef America’s ‘Hamburger Battle’. Kerry Simon trained in New York and before owning his own restaurants worked as a personal chef. LA Market with its smart, modern decor can be found in the lobby of the JW Marriott Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. The restaurant is designed so that diners can overlook the central plaza in the LIVE entertainment district, as well as watching Kerry and his team produce their dishes in the open kitchen.

Wolfgang Puck at WP24 in the Ritz Carlton Hotel, Los Angeles:

Wolfgang Puck’s cooking and inspiration at WP24 gained it the accolade of best new restaurant in 2010. Since arriving in Los Angeles in 1975 Puck has become a favorite with the elite and celebrities of Hollywood. Originally from Austria, he combines a formal training in French cuisine, with a true passion for Asian food. This combination, alongside his insistence on the highest quality ingredients, has created his signature dishes w,which blend a taste of Asian cuisine with modern Californian presentation. WP24 is on the 24th floor of the Ritz Carlton in the Los Angeles LIVE entertainment district. Diners can enjoy fabulous panoramic views of the city and mountains through the floor to ceiling windows.

José Andrés at The Bazaar in the SLS Hotel, Los Angeles:

José Andrés, chef at The Bazaar Restaurant, located in the SLS Hotel, Los Angeles, uses modern culinary techniques alongside his traditional Spanish roots, to create playful yet sophisticated dishes. Chef Andrés has a background in ‘culinary physics’. He has been credited with popularizing Spanish cuisine in the USA and is on Time’s 100 Most Influential List. Chef Andrés shares his experience by lecturing at Los Angele’s universities and is Dean of Spanish Studies at the International Culinary Centre. Andrés was born in Mieres, Spain and trained under the renowned chef, Ferran Adria, at the world famous El Bulli restaurant. The Bazaar´s dramatic interior was designed by Philippe Starck to complement the food of Chef José Andrés. Here his range of dishes feature a combination of traditional Spanish tapas alongside food inspired by molecular gastronomy.
