After four wonderful trips in London, I found that the hop on hop off bus tour is the most logical for a short time visit. It allows you to see all areas of London while listening to the audio in your preferred language. One one trip I bought the London pass that allows transport through the city zones as well as the train to Windsor. There is not enough time to take advantage of all the pass has to offer in a short time however. A combination of the two above mentioned would be great but for a group could cost more than the possible worth.

Windsor is a great side trip. It's easy and a short trip by train from London. Once there, you can easily catch a tour of Windsor Castle and explore the village.
