Among the many things you can find at Harrod’s includes women’s, men’s and kids apparel, home décor, kitchenware, an enormous wine selection and a fabulous selection of every kind of food you can imagine. You can also find a wide variety of delicious chocolates, pastries, and teas.
Harrod’s provides not just shopping, but an experience as well. There are many restaurants you can visit while there, birth upscale and casual. Some of these include a pizzeria, Krispy Kreme, a sushi bar, Champagne & Oyster Bar, and Planet Harrod’s, which serves casual food in a “Planet Hollywood” type atmosphere.
Harrod’s offers a variety of services such a as beauty salon and spa, a safe for your valuables, a luxury jewelry store, wedding registries, and even personal shoppers. Trafalgar Square
Trafalgar Square is a great place to spend the day shopping. It is a large square in the center of London which celebrates the victory of Lord Horatio Nelson at the Battle of Trafalgar against Napoleon in 1805. In the center is a figure of Nelson himself. It is flocked by four lions and a fountain. It is located at the end of Whitehall, which is the center of the British government.
There are tons of things to do while in Trafalgar Square such as ice skating in the Somerset House Ice Rink, visiting the Covent Garden, or the National Portrait Gallery. Trafalgar Square is also the site of many festivals and is also where many holidays including Christmas and New Years are celebrated. To get to Trafalgar Square, take the tube Charing Cross via Northern and Waterloo Lines.
Shopping green in London
If you are trying to “go green,” there are lots of places for you to shop at in London without increasing your environmental footprint. Farmers markets are not only a great way to get some good snacks for the day, but they offer great local food by local growers which is better for the environment. One of these is the Borough Market, which is one of the largest in the city and offers up great food from all over the country including fish, vegetables, cider, coffee, and cake. They are open Thursday to Sunday and can be found at Bourough High Street, SE1 9DE. You can get to it through the Bourough tube. Berwick Street Market has been open since 1840 and you can find fish, cheese, and fruits and vegetables. They are located at Soho, London, W1F 8ST.
There are also a variety of shops where you can find goods made out of organic materials. Howie’s, open for the last 12 years, sells clothes made from organic materials. It is located at 42 Carnaby Street, W1F 7DY. Terra Plana offers shoes made from recycled materials. You can find the store at 64 Neal Street, Covent Garden, WC2H 9PA. Elyong is a store that specializes in organic clothes for women and children. It is located at 186 Kings Road, Chelsea, SW3 5XP.
