Vegetarian Restaurants in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

The capital city of Malaysia is Kuala Lumpur which translates as the muddy estuary.  It grew from a sleepy little tin-mining village of years gone by into the metropolis of 6.5 million people that it is today.  The city boasts some of the most reasonably priced 5-star hotels in the world and is known for its great shopping venues and even better food and restaurants.  Surprisingly, we found a number of excellent vegetarian restaurants in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia which have listed here.

Radhey’s Heavenly Delights – Lacto and Vegan-friendly Chinese, Indian, and Western cuisines.  It is a buffet style format that also has a juice bar and a take-out menu.  The fine vegetarian cuisine that is featured here includes some exotic Asian dishes, signature and  traditional Indian dishes, and many Western favorites as well.  There is traditional indoor dining seating as well as seating outdoors and a relaxing lounge with Wi-Fi connectivity.

Loving Hut – It has organic, vegan Asian, International, and Western menus with a fast food menu, juice bar, and take-out.  This is one of the many international chain Loving Hut locations that is known for advocating an eco-friendly, plant-based nutrition and lifestyle.  All dishes are Vegan but they also serve coffee and non-alcoholic beverages.  Wi-Fi is also available to the business person enjoying a bite at lunchtime.

Nalanda Book Café (NBC) – This is a community center that is non-profit and promotes balanced and healthier living.  It is an ancillary of the Nalanda Buddhist Society that offers some of the finest vegetarian dishes but also features community-based educational activities, counseling services, and inspirational classes and workshops.  Make sure you bring cash because that is the only acceptable form of payment here.

Veg-fresh Organic and Vegetarian Shop – This restaurant features primarily organic, Vegan, and a take-out menu as well as natural and organic products that are imported or grown locally, whatever you choose.  Their changing daily entrées are all geared to preventing imbalances in the body and rectifying any health problems you may be suffering with.  Another plus about this establishment is that they also teach organic beauty techniques.  Cash is the only acceptable form of payment here so be sure to bring some.

Woods Bio Marche – considered the finest macrobiotic, organic, vegan international, and Malay cuisine in Kuala Lumpur.  The restaurant also offers a fast food and take-out menu.  The combination café and store features organic desserts and curry noodle dishes.  The store sells Vegan bread and cakes while there is also a grocery that features macrobiotic foods and ingredients, and organic fruits and vegetables.  They also offer free Wi-Fi access and accept credit cards for payment.  They are open 7 days a week from 11:30 am until 9:00 pm.
