Cisternino is one of the many beautiful villages set on the southeastern coast of Italy. What to do in the area
There are plenty of places to visit and activities in the area too. You can visit the Itria Valley which is well known for their prehistorical, dry stone buildings, called trulli. There are vineyards to visit and the area is home to the Salentino wine region as well as several nearby beaches if you are looking to catch a bit of sun and sea. The buildings in the area consists of architectural works from the Renaissance, Baroque, Neoclassical and Art Nouveau. If you are visiting during the summer, there is the historic centre of the nearby village of Valle d’Itria which is known to host many events.
