One of London’s most famous entertainment venues since its initial opening in 1932 is the Hammersmith Apollo or more currently referred to as the HMV Hammersmith Apollo. It was originally named the Gaumont Palace and currently has a seating capacity for 3,632 patrons and a standing capacity of 5,039. In 1962, it was renamed the Hammersmith Odeon and was again renamed as the HMV Hammersmith Apollo by the HMV Group in 2010 after they had taken over the facility.

Art Appreciation at Irish Cultural Center Hammersmith – This is a recurring event that takes place from 7 until 9 every Thursday evening at the Hammersmith Irish Cultural Center prior to, during the time of, and after the Summer Olympics. Adult tickets start at $101.34 (£65.00) and Concession tickets start at $85.75 (£55.00).
Art of Storytelling at Irish Cultural Center Hammersmith – Another recurring event that runs from 7 until 9 on Thursdays focusing on the art of storytelling and how it is still displayed as a human communication art during today’s technological times. Retaining this purest form of human communication during the technological age is very important, hence the purpose of this ongoing event.
Hans Raj Hans Live in Concert – The concert takes place at 6 pm Sunday, July 29th at the Hammersmith Apollo located on Caroline Street. The facility is currently celebrating its 80th anniversary. Although there was no musical background or history in his family, Hans Raj Hans began his singing career at a very early age and since 1987 has recorded 21 albums. This concert is open to anyone, but those aged 14 and under must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or responsible adult.
Eddie Vedder Live in Concert – The HMV Hammersmith Apollo is presenting Eddie Vedder, one of three guitarists and the lead singer of Pearl Jam, the alternative rock band. The American musician and singer-songwriter will be performing at 6:30 pm on Monday and Tuesday July 30th and 31st. He is widely renowned as an icon of alternative rock while being an extremely powerful singer. Vedder is also known for contributing to other artists albums as well as some of the soundtrack work he has done in the past
