Maison Carré is an ancient Roman temple that is also very well preserved and well worth visiting. It was built in 16BC and is incredibly beautiful. When eating out it is well worth trying the local speciality known as brandade, which is chopped cod and mashed potatoes, milk, garlic and olive oil. It is extremely delicious. There also very fine wines available from this region of France to try. The city also has cultural performances such as classical music recitals, opera, ballet and much more.
