As adventure holidays go you really can not get much more adventurous than taking to the skies.
I for one would be horrified, but for those with a yearning for the extreme I have got the holiday adventure for you. Especially for you, sport aficionados, paragliding and mountain adventure sports in the Pyrenees will right up your alley. High in the mountains of South of France you can explore uncharted territory. Soaring as high and as free as a bird will be just the beginning of what you can expect on this adventurous holiday in France’s most beautiful mountainous region mountain.
This adventure sport holiday is considered to be in the ranks of extreme sports. The faint at heart just might want to sit this one out. Each paragliding adventure begins with an introduction to how to use the equipment and how to safely experience the sport so many have already taken to the skies for the thrill of their lives. You can choose from a half day instruction course for paragliding with tandem jump or go with the extended version of the same training lasing up to a week and including the “Ecole de Parapente” (paragliding school). With the “Ecole de Parapente” training course you are including training towards your own solo pilot qualifications. It is not every day or within every holiday itinerary that you can actually incorporate you very own training leading to a pilot qualification so this holiday is pretty special indeed.
One of the most ideal paragliding locations in the southern mountains of France is the Barèges valley because of its very steep-angled valleys and elevated ski road for incredible vertical relief. Located only 7 miles West of famous Tour de France mountain climb Tourmalet and 24 miles South of Lourdes, Barèges will treat you to the best in paragliding conditions around. You will also find on this stunning adventure the breathtaking views of the mountains of France themselves to further make this the adventure of a lifetime. While summer months for paragliding will always be more than you bargain for do try the same holiday during the winter months. The winter version of this holiday adventure training and paragliding packages are on offer in a winter wonderland settling and set against the very mountainous regions to wow you all over again.
During your winter paragliding holiday the difference will be that your paragliding adventure will take place entirely on skis. Snow capped mountains will be what fills every stunning view and breathtaking scenery during your winter holiday paragliding break. Just imagine taking off on your very own paraglide for the holidays. You will have a view of the southern mountains of France like none other for your paragliding adventure. So, whether or not you are an avid extreme sports buff or amateur out for that new experience I can assure you will have more than your fair share to tell friends and family back at home.

Kesha,
You have captured the scene very well in your article. Obviously I have a keen interest as my business is arranging adventure holidays.
Very enjoyable,
