Aruba – situated just off South America’s northern coastline is the island of Aruba which shares most of its traits with the continent rather than the rest of the Caribbean islands.  Other than two brief periods in the island’s history when they were ruled by the British (1799 to 1802 and 1805-16), Aruba has been controlled by the Dutch Government since the days of the first European explorers.

Barbados – always one of the most popular family or romantic vacation destinations, Barbados is located on the Caribbean’s western edge which makes it easily accessible from Canada, the US, and Central and South America.  However, it is also convenient for tourists from Africa and Europe as well.

Grand Cayman – located in the Grand Cayman Islands of the Caribbean is the island of Grand Cayman, one of the most popular vacation spots in the region.  Whether it is the site of a main destination or just a stop on a Caribbean cruise, Grand Cayman is a must-see destination the next time you plan on visiting this island region.  It is the only place in the world that has an operating turtle farm.

Jamaica – many prior visitors to the Caribbean will tell you that no vacation to this region of the world would be complete without visiting Jamaica.  Most individuals who visit the Caribbean for the first time will oftentimes select this island as there home away from home.  It is an ideal destination for families traveling with children or romantic couples looking for an intimate vacation getaway.

Turks and Caicos Islandsthese islands are renowned for being one of the most beautiful and scenic areas of the Caribbean.  It is also revered as being one of the most secluded and remote destinations in the region for those searching a more peaceful and quiet vacation.  The benefit of visiting the Turks and Caicos Islands is that it is not as frequently visited as the other primary destinations of the Caribbean.  For a more serene vacation without the crowds, this is the place to be.

Each year, tourists flock to Aruba for a taste of the island’s renowned beaches. At the heart of Aruba’s beach atmosphere is Palm Beach – one of the liveliest beaches in the entire Caribbean. While the soft, white sand and mature palm trees will be noticed at first glance, there are plenty of activities and sites along Palm Beach waiting to be discovered.
