Where to stay?
It’s a good idea to plan ahead so you won’t be disappointed, but if you find it hard to find a room you can always travel in from outside. Hopefully, you’ll be able to find a room in one of many hotels on offer in Edinburgh. Most venues are in the city centre so you’ll be bound to find something close by to what you want to see. You could stay at the Ailsa Craig Hotel in the centre, a 3 star hotel close by to Andrew Square Bus Station and Waverley Train Station so you won’t have far to go with your bags.
How about the Cairn Hotel? Again in the city centre it’s a 2 star hotel for those on a budget, it’s in the theatre district and not far from the old town and is a good base from which to travel around to see the sites as well as the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Perhaps you might prefer the 4 star splendour of the Blue Rainbow Aparthotel Edinburgh Royal Garden? Wherever you decide to stay you’ll have a fabulous time at the Fringe.
