Located in Australia’s Capital Territory in the southeastern region of New South Wales is the nation’s capital of Canberra. Canberra is oftentimes described as the planned city complete with galleries, museums, and national monuments that have all been situated around some extremely large man-made lakes. Surprisingly, there are just as many international travelers and tourists who feel that Canberra has some outstanding shopping districts as well as being an excellent jumping-off point for exploring the Australian outdoors.

Whether you are looking for music records, silver jewelry or native aboriginal art, you’ll find it here. The following are our choices for recommended shopping districts and streets in Canberra:
Canberra Antiques Center – there are roughly a dozen interstate and local professional vendors that set up here. They offer antique and retro furniture, art glass, high quality bric-a-brac, military memorabilia, numismatics, pottery, and silver items. Great music plays during shopping hours.
Jamison Market – located in Belconnen near the Jamison District city center is the Jamison Market which opens every Sunday. It is a combination Flea Market and Fresh Produce Market. There are bargains galore here including bric-a-brac, classic vinyl records, furniture, and secondhand clothing.
