I am a huge fan of SQ but it is by no means a low cost airline it is a full service flag ship carrier which has excellent service no doubt.

Singapore Airlines though has not....it is still going strong. They have incredible service, frequent flights to Asia, and competitive prices.

James,

I am curious now..did you ever work for Maxjet? I am well aware of my good fortune of being accommodated on EOS when Maxjet went bankrupt and did indeed blog about it on smarttravelreport. However that episode could not be mentioned in a general report on low cost business class transatlantic airlines.

just curious, judging from your smart travel report of january 4 2008 no mention of your good fortune resulting from max's demise. not a shred of appreciation- simply willful condemnation- left dangling? could have been left with a discourse with your credit card agency.

sounds to me like you had a lovely time at a maxjet price. let me know of any another bankrupt airline that accomodated you in this fashion.

you're welcome,

maxjet

ps i was first hand aware of the inconsistencies, irregularities, yet no one ever seemed to complain about the price. best of luck getting that service at that fare ever again
