Located in the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Spain is the archipelago known as the Balearic Islands, one of the most popular tourist destinations in this region. The capital and most frequently visited city in the Balearic Islands is Palma de Mallorca. Not only will you find a variety of bars, restaurants, and retail shops, it also features a beautiful harbor and the most outstanding nightlife in the entire islands.

If it’s nightlife you desire, the Balearic Islands and especially Palma de Mallorca have all you can handle. The following is a list of the most recommended venues in the islands:
Playa de Palma District (Palma de Mallorca) – you’re going to find that this is more of a rock bar for individuals who are probably young enough to be some of our children. Be ready for lively crowds and loud music if you decide to explore this tunnel bar and nightclub.
Café del Mar/Sunset Bar (Ibiza) – If you venture over to and explore Ibiza, which many of the international visitors do, you won’t want to miss wandering into this excellent combination bar, CD shop, and café while you are visiting the area. The establishment was built in 1980 and quickly named for the beautiful coastal sunsets that can be seen here.
Bananas Cocktail Bar (Palma de Mallorca) – excellent cocktails, a wide array of music, and great company are the key characteristics of this cocktail bar. The bar is known for handing out FREE welcome cocktails 7 nights a week so make sure that you don’t miss out on yours when visiting Palma.
LaRue Hip Hop Club (Palma de Mallorca) – a favorite of many of the locals, LaRue features primarily hip-hop and Reggae music. Although it looks extremely small from the outside, don’t let that fool you. There is plenty of room on the inside and the atmosphere is great, provided you prefer those two types of music above.
Pacha Club (Ibiza) – this club appeals to the crowd that is wedged in between the young adults and the seniors, hence its extreme popularity with many international travelers. It was built on a couple of different levels and features outdoor party space as well. It’s a great place for a late dinner as you are admitted FREE after the dinner hour is over.
BCM (Mallorca Island) – plenty of shots and bull-riding are the primary attractions of this establishment. So you can expect seeing a younger crowd here at BCM. But don’t let that discourage you because locals as well as tourists of all ages tend to hit this bar on the island before exploring so many of the others. One way or the other you are sure to enjoy your time here while enjoying some drinks with the locals.
