A new Intangible Cultural Heritage by UNESCO

On October 2009, UNESCO declared the tango Intangible Cultural Heritage. In an attempt to preserve tango, born from a fusion of African rythms and the Spanish singing and guitar, both Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Montevideo, Uruguay, promoted the proposal.
