Best Pubs in Andorra

Wednesday, December 14th, 2011

Located in the Pyrenees Mountains on the Iberian Peninsula border between France and Spain is the small mountain country of Andorra and its 73,000 plus inhabitants.  Though small in nature, it is a very picturesque country that international travelers find extremely enticing as a tourist destination.  For those visiting Andorra and who have a passion for a lively nightlife, the following establishments are some great clubs with bars and pubs to consider spending an evening at.

Quo Vadis – if you’re looking for a livelier spot in the city of Arinsal to dance the night away and enjoying drinks, this is the place.  Beers and burgers are on the menu but there are a number of food items, all priced reasonably and extremely tasty.  This is definitely a favorite of the locals but tourists frequent the place as well.

La Copa Restaurant – a great place to spend an evening warming up to the fire and enjoying a good steak or fine Italian cuisine as well as all types of cocktails and other alcoholic beverages.  The establishment is located in Pas de la Casa and is frequented by locals and tourists in all age groups from their early 20’s on up.

Gatsby’s Bar and Hotel – located in the capital city of Andorra la Vella and formerly an old nightclub, Gatsby’s still has the black walls and mirrors of the disco era.  It is now considerably more homely than what it used to be and the locals tell us that the seating is a great deal more comfortable than what it once was.  It features and open fireplace.

Aspen – located in the heart of Soldeau, Aspen is oftentimes referred to as a “proper pub” with a wooden décor, friendly serving staff, and a great drink selection.  There is a big screen TV for watching sports, pool tables, and live entertainment.  The menu features burgers, lasagna, paninis, and shepherd’s pie which is served from 3 until 10 pm daily.

Dylan’s – rated as a great cocktail bar and lounges to just chill out in when visiting the city of El Tarter.  The establishment is located in the Hotel El Tarter and features a large selection of dance music as well as DJ’s that play a mix of British, Latin, and Spanish dance music to keep you entertained long into the night.  Additionally, alcoholic beverages are two for one between 5:30 and 7:30 pm every evening.

The Harp – One of the new bars in Soldeu, it is run by an Irish couple who ensure that you are never without the best drinks in the bar. With live music 7 days a week, and top musicians performing every night including the Space Cowboys and Astronauts, enjoy the drinks and dance away the night.
