Best Western Hôtel Floréal - Vence, Nice

A little tired and perhaps in need of some maintenance, however with the facilities lacking in some 4 star hotels. Gardens around pool a bit of a Jungle, parking a bit of a hazzle, but all in all the friendliness of the owners made up for a few minor shortfalls. Breaakfast perhaps a little skimpy on choices for the price.

The hotel is indeed very close to the town village and has its own private parking. My room had a big balcony facing the woods, it was really lovely.The downside: The rooms decor is a monument to the 70s and the hairdryer looks like some Victorian contraption. I think the price, for that time of the year (May) was a bit high.

The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and very helpful. The negative points was the decor of the room was a little out-dated but more importantly the room had no complimentary water. There was also no kettle and drink making facilities so we could not make a drink.

Wonderful staff, very friendly. Garden and pool really nice. Food excellent. Rooms could do with a little renovation, but overall not bad.

Quiet, rooms very simple, breakfast not so rich, staff very gentle.

I stayed here over Easter 2008. Had a wonderful time, the room was quiet, clean and the front desk beyond helpful. I loved sitting on my little balcony overlooking a grassy courtyard. It is a few minutes walk from town, but an easy and flat walk. This is my first visit to Vence, won't be my last, would definitely stay here again. Didn't get a chance to use the pool, next time!
