Empfehlenswert!

The hotel was in the midst of a renovation. My first room looked shabby. I asked for another room, which wasn't available until the following day. The second room was one of the newer rooms, and it was very clean and comfortable.

While the hotel has recently been renovated, there were a number of issues that need to be addressed. In the first room we were given the air conditioning did not work. We were subsequently given another room on another floor. There was no staff to help move our bags, nor and apology. The breakfast was good. The neighborhood was not really family oriented (too many streetwalkers). The concierge was helpful in recommending good restaurants.

Personale molto cortese e sollecito verso i bambini.

The newly renoveted rooms were very nice and spacious and the staff extremely helpful. We stayed only one night as we planned to hike a week in the wine country area. Breakfast was very good and we found good restaurants close to the hotel.

I first tried to call the hotel to book the Torino+Piemonte Card weekend offer. I spoke to a woman there who told me they were fully booked even before I gave her the dates. My impression was she did not want to talk to me in English and this was easier. I imediately went online and was able to book my room. I was disappointed as I wanted to get the Piemonte Card and rate offered but online I could only get the standard room rate which did not include the Piemonte Card. The hotel was not far from the train station and was within walking distance of the main square and major sights.

This hotel is in a great location. It is a 3 min walk from the train station and is in an interesting area full of little stores. It took us about 5 mins to walk to Via Roma, the main street in the city center and around there and on the way are lots of Risterantes, Trattoria and bars. They staff are very professional and provide as much information as you need. Our room was on the 1st floor and the elevator is a tiny little thing with manual doors. Breakfast is a continental breakfast but the breakfast room is nice and the tables are set beautifully. A waiter/waitress is always on hand for hot water or coffee. Its proximity to the train station was a must as there is nothing worse than catching a train then trying to navigate through an unfamiliar city with luggage. Will defiantly stay here again.

Piuttosto accogliente, pulito, personale gentile.

On parle français.

fantastic place! the staff was superb-- especially the one who welcomed us. she had great suggestions and advice on the sights and restaurants of the neighborhood. the room was a bit small, but very clean. bathroom is spacious (but i still don't understand the logic behind the "screens" that cover only a corner of the bathtub..) relatively good lighting. windows are pretty sound-proof, ensuring a good night's sleep. breakfast is varied and has a good selection- interior of the hotel is nicely decorated.. i can't think of anything negative, except maybe the surroundings of the hotel- not the best neighborhood, especially at night, though not too far from the train station. all in all, impeccable service. would definitely return.

My wife experienced unhappy incident when we just arrived and walked out from Turn Porta Nuova Station towards this hotel. Somebody tried to open her sackbag from her back when we walked along the Via Claudio Luigi Berthollet . The hotel staff advised us not to walk straight away towards station when we walk out from hotel. Instead she advised us to use the street on the 1st right (there is a synagogue in the middle of the street) or turn left to use Via Madama Cristina to reach the big street Corso Vittorio Emanuele II first. We did follow her advice and we recommand those routes, they would be better and safer way to walk out from and back to the hotel. Otherwise the hotel service is worth with the price.

The map indicated that the hotel was 200 meters from the train station. It seemed further than that. We walked from the train station, using the map from the Venere website, and went through a rough area. There were a lot of people on the street and we were uncomfortable. We finally found the hotel where we were then told to avoid the route we had just taken. Written directions indicating an alternate route would be better, not just a map with street names. The woman at the front desk could not have been nicer. She was most accommodating and lined us up with a bilingual driver for an excursion we wanted to take in the mountains. It worked out very well and it was one of the highlights of our trip. Except for that initial walk to the hotel, our stay was wonderful.

Apparently we were going to be put up on the 6 floor with no direct lift access & in a smoking room so we asked to be moved to a non-smoking room. Although we hadn't specified this on our original booking our(late)request was able to be accommodated. The employees were friendly and proactive in contacting me prior to our stay - Luana in particular was very nice and friendly. The hotel is a 5-10 minute walk from the train station although we passed a few visually interesting people on the way. The hotel is close to the park and River Po and overall not too far from everything you might want to see in terms of piazza's, city etc. Caio.

the hotel itself is very nice and great staff. knowing this was a dodgy area of Turin, i asked the hotel staff for advice on areas to be avoided and they pointed this out to me with certainty. being a single female traveller, i appreciated honest staff who didn't try to glorify their city, but were openly honest and very helpful. sticking to the main roads going to the hotel from city restaurants at night, presented no problems at all. just take a little care

The woman of the reception was very nice, gave us the useful information with a smile. The surrounding was a bit bad because it is near to the Central station of Torino but if you take care of the roads to take there is no problem. Regarding to the room that we took it was spacious and renewed and clean. But for the people who have sixth sense we don't recommend. You know, we had a "ghost" problem every night!

Very nice hotel for a modest price. Nice and clean rooms, quit luxurious for this prize. We where rather amazed. Our had a Jacuzi. Very good breakfast buffet. Little reading room with bibliothek. Friendly and competend staff. Beware: parking is not easy and the garage is 15 € per day. Very near to the train station!

The staff is terrific: helpful, courteous, friendly. The entrance lobby and sitting room are run-down looking but the breakfast room is cheerful, bright, and the breakfast is very well stocked. The room we had was a bit worn but clean and comfortable and quiet. We were delighted by the staff's helpfulness and their ability to switch from Italian to English, German, and French in an instant. The hotel's (off-site) garage is a great feature. The neighborhood has a number of decent restaurants and good services. But it was the hotel staff that really added to our stay in Turin.

This hotel is quite good. The location is close to the train station and not far from the nice parks by the river. Its a 20ish minute walk to the main museums and Palazzo Reale. The hotel was quiet and the rooms clean and adequate.

The hotel location is very convenient to the train station (Porto Nuova), but far enough to be away from the noise, etc. that immediately surrounds the station. The staff were perhaps the friendliest we encountered on our entire 2 week trip, and even let us store a bag for 2 days while we took a side trip to Milan. We had two rooms which varied in amenities -- one with a spa tub (worth asking for). Breakfast was very nice -- choice of rolls, cereals, meats, cheeses, coffees, etc. The lobby bar served drinks and snacks in the evenings -- great to have a cold drink after a warm day. We did have some trouble with the AC, but would definitely stay there again.

The service was very good and the staff helpful. However, the rooms where a bit small (but clean) and the hotel was located in a neighborhood which gave you the impression that you were in danger! However, I didn't see or heard of bad 'stories'.

A great hotel in a great city. I have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions, and each room has its own character. The hotel is like the city, a fasinating place, check out Zeli's wine bar, a guiness at the Irish Bar, a wealth of resteraunts, plus excellent sambuca and expresso. Valerie is also a very nice receptionist from Argentina.

My only hesitation about this hotel is the area: it is in a Middle Eastern neighborhood with many men on the street, and as an American woman traveling alone, I felt very uncomfortable walking to and from this hotel--not the hotel's fault.

The staff were very helpful on our arrival and the location of the hotel was excellent for the train and bus stations. It was however a bit shabby and the room was very stale smelling. On our return they had let our room out to someone else so they put us up in another hotel near by. This was slightly shabbier. The hotel felt safe and the breakfast was good but we thought it was overpriced for the quality of the rooms.

A wonderful hotel far exceding others we had stayed in in Italy. Although we had booked a standard double we were given an attic room with a jacuzzi in the bathroom which must have been a free upgrade. Due to a flight cancellation we had to book an extra night which we did over the telephone and we were only charged the same rate as the other nights. Breakfast was great, much better than the usual hard roll and a bit of jam usually offered in |Italian hotels. I can highly recommend this hotel even if it is in a slightly dodgy area. Perhaps not suitable for nervous women travelling on their own who haven't experienced Italy before.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel piemontese in torino. I thought the rooms and facilities where execellent. I was particularly impressed by the friendliness and help provided by the staff. Unfortunately I stayed at another Great Western hotel in Italy. The hotel bologna in mestre, near to venice. This hotel was the complete oposite. The room was small and the faclities very basic. Most of the staff where not at all helpfull or friendly.
