Very good position. about 2 mins walk from train station and v close to shopping and main piazzas. v nice room. breakfast v good for italy with scrambled eggs and ham. staff v efficient and mostly nice. there is one super-surly waiter. he knows who he is. he doesn't offer foreigners the coffee in the morning, but jumps to it when he realises you speak italian: not really fair that non-italian speakers must be having the manky coffee from the tank. but this was minor. v pleasant stay and oh despite what i expected, area near train station doesn't feel dangerous

My room was rather small and felt a bit dated but it was better than I first thought. There was some problems with internet connection by cable, heating, battery to remote control. It was solved except that I had to buy wireless Internet. I really think that should be included in the price. Disappointing about the TV-channels. No channel showing champions league football or live games with Juventus, and this in Italy, the home of football. The public areas were really nice, including breakfast area. Perhaps they could have more variation on what to serve for breakfast (I stayed 7 nights). The hotel is right by the train station, which you cannot hear, so you will not be disturbed. It is rather close to conference centre, pubs, a nice park (with a fake medevial town!), shopping, etc.

The hotel was great. the only negative thing is that they didn't know that ALL bestwestern hotels cooperate with SAS-Eurobonus system, so I couldn't get my points.

Excellent hotel with very efficient and friendly staff. Already used in the past for business stays but now even better. Ideally situated close to the main station and city centre. Also local restaurants.

I have always been happy with Best Western Hotels in Europe. You get a standard of quality, comfort and security at their hotels. Genio was no exception. Initially, they gave me a small room, but it was a smoking room. I asked to change to a non-smoking room. The only non-smoking rooms available were larger rooms, so they offered me an upgrade- no additional charge. The only complaint was that the heater control was sporadic, but they eventually fixed that. If you need a place close to the train station so that you can take the train to ski at Sestriere, or Sauze d'Oulx or check out the Olympics, this is it. Its just a few steps to the station; bring your board or skis for the hour long ride up to Oulx.

Very happy with the hotel, although had difficulties finding it from the airport. Staff very friendly, but sometimes hard to communicated with and as tourists to Turin, we knew nothing about the local area and sites to see, unfortunatly the staff didn't understand us and we used our own knowledge to make our way around the city.

Room and bathroom slightly old fashioned, but large. Arrived late at night but no issues. Breakfast is standard European buffet fare. Parking could be an issue.

The hotel is very close to the train station, that was the reason we took it as we had to take the early morning train. The breakfast was very good, the noise at night disturb us a bit but that is understandable. We will definately come back again if we stay in Torino.

The hotel is fairly pleasant. Staffing is generally qualified with the exception of the breakfast room. It takes quite some effort to wake them up and get their attention and coffee. The area is a bit creepy with a lot of pick pockets and weirdos.

Top best western hotel for very reasonable price. Could easily be a 4 star in my book. Very central (within walking distance of the main sights) You won't regret booking here. Its very close to the rail station so immediate area not great but thats central stations in a big city for you. Book it Danno.

An old 'albergo' revamped under the Best Western brand. Rooms were comfortable but a little poky (next time I'll ask for a double!) but overall central location with very helpful, friendly staff. Good value and a little less impersonal than your average 'business' hotel.

The hotel is situated about 10 minutes walk from the historic centre of Turin next to the station. Normally this means the local streets can have dangers but on this occasion the area is fine. The airport coach drops you about one minute walk from the hotel so very convenient. The hotel is immaculately clean and the rooms are excellent - the beds being superbly comfortable. Breakfast - cold buffet was excellent with plenty of choice - the coffee could have been better but was OK. The staff in general spoke good english and were pleasant and could not do enough to help with maps directions etc. They sell Turin cards at reception - highly recommended. All in all a splendid stay and very, very good value. If we visit Turin again we will stay a Genio. This is the sixth hotel I have booked using Venere.com and have yet to be dissapointed - the system is straight forward and honest - I have never had a euro added to the displayed price.
