Best Western Hôtel Escurial - Joué-lès-Tours, Tours

Unclean rooms, net curtains looked like they were never cleaned, horrible hotel!!!

Here are some observations I made whilst lying in my bed with my head resting on a wafer thin pillow which resembled a tea bag: Curtains don't fit & falling off, no air con, no smoke alarm, dirty bath with hair in it, no tea & coffee facilities or mini bar even water!! no lemonade in the main bar, room heater fallen off wall and fixed on with wire. Decor very 70's in desperate need of investment or total re development. Terrace nice and lift looked new. I will not be returning in this life or the next.

Nice place, very good position to visit Tours (if you have a car) and Loire Valley. Pay attention: breakfast is not included, it's very good but quite expensive. The same for the restaurant, good but Expensive.

Very good value for the money - the employees were very helpful and nice. Typical 3-stars hotel in suburbs of Tours.

Basically, We're satisfied with the hotel, but Photos on the web are a little bit different from the real facility (I felt. It looked more luxuous). Staffs were very kind but when we asked a pair of towels, because there was only one pair in a room, they forgot what we asked. The name on the receipt was Mr and Mrs xxx. but we are 2 wemens, just friends. Even if it didn't mean harm, we didn't feel good. I hope these thing will be improved.

The price was certainly too much for the room, which was very average, and the service was very poor as the staff seemed only interested in the large coach parties that were staying at the hotel. The room was very tired and rabbit hutch like, the corridors were extremely dark even if you could find the timed light switch, which wasn't easy. No for 90 euros and the description on the venere web site gave as the impression that this would be a much nicer experience.

One overnight with wife and 2 children (3-6 years old). Booked a room for 4 persons, but room was way to small and not prepared at all for 4(only 2 towells, an extra bed missing for second child). Besides, very hot in the room, and disturbing noise in the evening from terrace below. Misleading photo of a very average hotel.

Good hotel, excellent parking lot, a little difficult to find particularly overnight.

The beds were very uncomfortable and the cot they gave us to use was falling apart and unsafe.
