Excellent hotel! Very good service. Good location, close to the station, buses, shopping area and historic town. Very good connections to European Institutions area (bus no. 6 stop at five minutes). I recommend it for both business and private visits!

We were in Strasbourg in January 2011, everything ok. Air france lost our luggage and staff helped us, he telephoned into the office and gave us everything what we needed ( all shops were closed). There is hot breakfast

Easy to find, close to the train station. All of the staff were very helpful and it was a bonus for us that they spoke English as our French is minimal. The room was light, airy and very clean. All the amenities we look for as travellers were provided. I'd just like to stress again how clean, light and comfortable this hotel was. It was within close proximity to town and good sightseeing (which was handy as we were only in town for a day). We would definitely stay at this hotel again in the future. Ten plus stars from us.

Great location with an easy walk from train station and to all attractions in the city center of Strasbourg, including the cathedral and La Petite France. Excellent breakfast. Bath was very small but functional. Quiet location. Excellent value relative to room rate.

Convenient to station. Very helpful staff. Large rooms, slightly old-fashioned furnishings but ultra-modern bathrooms. Great breakfasts. Housekeeping often done late, causing inconvenience. Overall, excellent value for money.

It is very near to Strasbourg central station. It was a quiet area. There are some restaurants, a small supermarket and a post office. The staffs were very kind and friendly. They speak English. The breakfast was very good. The room was very clean and new. There were some English tea bags, coffee and a pot. You can drink them in the room. There were two washbowls in the bus room. A toilet was separate from the bus room. It was a very comfortable room. I want to stay in this hotel when I visit Strasbourg again. It's a very good hotel.

Excellent location for TGV station(short walk). Easy walk to restaurants and Old Town. Continental breakfast buffet was very good. Hotel refurbished and two doors to the corridor meant room was very quiet.

We stayed in room 407; the shower was defective and sprayed water all over the room. When brought to the attention of desk personnel, they apologized but offered no consideration (rate reduction, other service) for the inconvenience. It was a shame because everything else about the hotel was great. We showered later in Nuremberg.

I would recommend to anyone to stay at the "Best Western" group of hotels. We stayed at quite a few on our travels around Europe and found them to be neat, clean, very welcoming and centrally located. Booking through Venere is a definite advantage as well. We saved a lot of money.

A pleasant, airconditioned hotel with very modern room furnishings. It's some five minutes walk to the city center or to the trainstation. Breakfast was extra at E 12, but it was ample and worth the money. The single room was a little too small, but pleasant.

Camera eccellente (nuova, spaziosa, pulita, molto bella). Purtroppo il resto dell'hotel era in fase di ristrutturazione. buona colazione, ma molto cara (12 euro a testa)

Reception was outstandingly polite. They spoke English very well. Even though we only stayed one night, they offered to store our luggage after check-out which enabled us to stroll around the city and shop. Breakfast buffet was sumptuous; dining area was inviting. The decor was perfect for the region. We regretted only booking one night. When we next are in Strasbourg, we will call the Best Western Monopole Metropole again.

Plus: A well maintained clean hotel. Excellent public rooms and good breakfast. Minus: Noise levels at front of hotel prevent a good night's sleep. Bar was very quiet with patchy service.
