Best Western Hotel De France - Strasbourg

Hotel in middle of renovation including the 5th floor, where our room was, poor hospitality standards, should have not offered rooms if not signed off after renovation. work still undertaken in bedroom while staying I would not stay or recommend any of our freinds or work colleauges stall at ANY Best Western hotel in UK or EU. I trust that these comments find there way to BEst Wertern Hotel for some kind of action !!!

We got the room for 80Euro's so price/quality was excellent. Breakfast is too expensiv.

The hotel is old and rather run-down. It offers a garage for cars at €16.-/night, but every time you want to enter it you have to fetch the key at the reception desk first - a very unpractical arrangement. Right now the street to the hotel is closed due to road works, so make sure you bring either GPS or a good map. A flashlight is useful too since the fuse blows as soon as you have one light in the room on and put the kettle (provided by the hotel) on. Apart from its central location there's not much to be said in favour of this hotel.

The room was very small!! The employers didn't speak good english. There were much smoker rooms. Bad experience!

Sirs., when I arrived the room was perfectly cleaned, but on the following days, it wasn't. They charged the use of internet and I think it wasn't correct ... these were the only problems I had .... but my stay was perfect ... Not a bad choice. We spent three days in Stratsbourg and the hotel is downdown, but not far from the station. It is clean, with bathtube. Cons: The breakfast does not worth the price (12 euros), it is better to go in one of the beautiful cafes around the hotel. The wi-fi is only in the lobby and t is really expensive.

L hotel è rimasto agli anni 70..il colore delle stanze (rosso) non è il massimo.

A quiet hotel close to the centre of Strasbourg.Frendly employees. A good relationship price/quality.

The wall behind the toilet was open and full of cobwebs. The hotel was almost empty, anyway we were put in an small, dark room with view to the backyard. We felt a bit like 2nd class guests, maybe because of the cheap arrangement?

THE ROOMS ARE LITTLE (STANDARD IN EUROPE) BUT THE EXCELLENT LOCATION IN THE HEART OF THE LATIN QUARTIER AND CLOSE TO METRO STATIONS MAKES IT A VERY GOOD CHOICE.

I would strongly recommend not driving into Strasbourg. If you manage to find your way to the hotel (one of the worst cities I have ever driven in), the garage is very useful.

I had a very good time so I look forward to stay at that hotel on another visit of Strasbourg.

Although the reservation was Ok on the net and I received a confirmation email, no room was available when I arrived there. I hope it was just an unhappy incident and not a rule. Best regards, Ioana Volintiru

Hotel piacevole. I colori delle camere sono un po' vecchio stile e talvolta l'illuminazione scarseggia un po' . Molto pulito, centralissimo e personale molto cortese.

My stay was okay, the services were fine, I had a good stay.

The price of the parking garagage is an addional EUR 14,-.

We were extremely impressed by the warmth, courtesy and efficiency of the staff. We visited during an exceptionally hot spell and thought it a very nice touch that fans were provided: there'll be air conditioning by next year apparently! A well located,pleasant hotel to which we will return.

Reception staff were excellent - very helpful and obliging. Rooms very good but some traffic noise at the front of the hotel. We stayed for our second night after looking around other hotels and deciding we had made best decision on price/quality. Very convenient and central for all main parts of Strasbourg

The hotel was that which we expected, although I do not recall it mentioned that there was an extra charge for the indoor parking. The hotel was well situated in Strasbourg within walking distance of all the things we wanted to see. Our only real problem was locating the hotel int he first place, as we were not prepared for the one way streets and the general restrictions of driving inside the centre of town.Once found we left the car at the hotel and went by foot. The staff were always very helpful and courteous. We had glorious weather which always helps!!

This hotel was clean, our room was fine and of a reasonable size. The staff were outstanding though, really made us feel welcome and actually gave better advice than the tourist information centre.

Staff very welcoming and helpful. Difficult to find one's way by car due to the one-way systems in the city. Rooms spacious but in need of redecoration/modernisation. However, overall the hotel is well situated. Breakfast was expensive compared to cheap good alternatives within easy walking distance.
