Generally the Hotel staff were obliging and friendly. The main problem was that we were never informed on booking that the Hotel was constructing a large extension that completely destroyed the garden and views, and which made the external areas of the hotel unusable due to dist and noise. This ruined our stay completely.

Beautiful town and the hotel is in a good, quiet location. Excellent breakfast buffet and lovely terrace setting. We an inland facing balcony, but the room itself was not large and the storage was very limited - we only had a short stay, but storing a week or more's clothes would have been difficult! The town is lively with a street market and music in the evenings, lots of restuarants and a great sandwich bar near the bandstand / gardens - good ice creams (including lavender flavour!) across the road too.
