Hotel La Marina Best Western - Saint-Raphaël

Large room, but the window was over the roof - no view. Maybe a better room was given if reserved directly on BW. Good price/quality. New forniture in all public areas, good pool, large and easy usable. Gym was closed on the weekend (!), so we couldn't use. Very easy to reach, anyway you have to use the car to reach the city center. The Marina is a small port, very quiet, with some mid priced restaurant, no shops. Tipical guests are families, couples and aged people.

Io e il mio ragazzo abbiamo passato 3 giorni in Costa Azzurra (dal 26 al 28 giugno) pernottando al B.W. La Marina. Abbiamo speso 220euro per due notti con camera vista piscina. Il prezzo quindi non era basso ma l'albergo era bellisimo. La camera era spaziosa rispetto ai soliti standard francesi, pulita e ben arredata. Abbiamo sfruttato il terrazziono (la cui vista sulla piscina merita davvero!!)per fare la colazione: in camera è possibile prepararsi bevande calde grazie ad una tisaniera elettrica e a bustine di thé e caffè solubile che troverete in camera ogni giorno! inoltre si può sfruttare il frigobar per tenere al fresco latte e succhi di frutta. A 300m c'è anche una panetteria che ho sfruttato per fare la romanticheria di avere brioches e baguette per la colazione in camera ( e che consiglio visto i prezzi delle colazioni degli alberghi ed in giro). Stupenda la piscina e gli ambienti in comune. Il personale è gentile ma spesso non vi sa aiutare.... non sa nulla!!!! L'albergo è lontano dal centro ma per noi non è stato un problema perchè abbiamo girato tantissimo!! Saint Raphael è graziosa, soprattutto alla sera con i suoi innumerevoli ristorantini(consiglio vivamente per cortesia, qualità e prezzo il ristorante Corsaro)e per i mercatini di souvenir che popolano la lunga passeggiata.. Ci ritornerei!

This was our first stay in La Marina and we were very happy with our hotel. Very nice location on the port and the rooms were big and comfy. What we did not like too much was the breakfast, it was not very well arranged at all. We did not eat in the restaurant in the evenening, so I cannot give my opinion on that matter. Overall, La Marina offers a very pleasant stay.

Need the bidet in bathroom

Stayed one night only. Very good experience. Will definitely return to Saint-Raphael/Frejus and will probably seek to at Hotel La Marina as first option.

We stayed here in September 2007 and we loved the hotel and the surrouding area. Would've stayed another night if time had permitted. 2km walk to loads of resturants and night life. Would have been better if breakfast was included. Pool area really nice. Would stay herre again.

The room smell of smoke, also if i find a the advisor no smokin romm...

An excellent hotel, very good accommodation although a sea view is a must. Room was very clean and thoroughly cleaned every day. Staff were very helpful and efficient. Have travelled to St Raphael for over 25 years and this was the best hotel yet and would certainly use again.

Our room overlooked the marina. Apart form the wedding party on Sat night very quiet, with a lovely view.The area is delightful with lovely walk along promenade into town. Many varied resturants locally lookin over the marina. A good place to stay for a few days.

It's a wonderful hotel and I really enjoyed the time spent there; everything is ok (rooms, breakfast, employees), I would certainly come back another time.

We were so lucky to happen upon the Hotel La Marina, it was by far the best location for the price in all of St. Raphael (and from what we could tell, Cannes and St. Tropez as well!). The hotel is located just a bit outside of the town center (15 minute walk), right on a very nice harbor with a bunch of lovely restaurants and bars (and a little supermarket! perfect for buying yogurts, cheeses and fruits for breakfast instead of paying 12 euros a piece for the buffet) adjacent to the property. We walked into town for dinner one night but found that the atmosphere on the harbor was far more relaxed (and seemingly more upscale) than downtown so we wound up dining on the marina for the remaining nights (GREAT Moroccan place called "Le Palais Oriental" near by, as well a fun bar called the Havana Room (or the Cuba room?)). The only slight drawback was that the room was a *little* noisey b/c it was so windy out that there was quite a bit of whistling noise from the lines on the sailboats (still, if this is what I'm complaining about I certainly had a pretty great stay!). Also, one staff member had some difficulty giving us directions to the highway (which we only took once, N98 is a much nicer more scenic ride and only slightly longer) and none of them told us about the many restaurants just outside thier (back) door (you have to walk along the harbor to see them) - probably because they have an onsite restaurant and they don't want competition, I guess I can understand that. All in all, we will definitly be back to St. Raphael and the Hotel La Marina Best Western (ps - definitly spring for the rooms with the view, it's worth it!).

In my opinion prices should be cheaper

Overall the hotel was quite satisfactory and I would stay there again. Buffet breakfast was very good and we enjoyed the pool area and poolside dining. One thing, this speaking French only thing has to go, especially in a hotel that has international clientele mainly from Europe. Two girls at reception did speak english which alleviated the problem of "Two Heinekens please" at the bar.

A fairly nice hotel. Location was reported to be within walking distance to the city, it's a long walk. A good 20 min at least. Loved the restaurants nearby, lots og good food. Do not order the rooms "vue ville" because there is no "ville" to wiev, it's a parking lot...

The only thing i didn't like was the cleanliness of rooms, in particular of bath.

We had an exellent stay however the first two days were marred by constant loud drilling,for which there was no explanation or apology. Our only other criticism was the inatentive service at breakfast,coffee luke warm etc.

Could not provide the basic requirements of a hotel on the second day of stay. 1) Room not cleaned until 6.30 p.m, and only after I complained. 2) No bath towels available in the hotel, had to use hand towels after showering. 3) Indifference to my complaint of the above.
