Staying one night in Rome, Hotel Royal Santina was a very comfortable, safe environment for a single female traveller, very close to Termini and easy to find. €95 for B&B on a Saturday night - not bad value considering quality / location / Rome. Small double room but perfect for one person. The hotel has ultra modern decor. Minor complaints - one of the bedside lamps didn't work and one of the drinking glasses was very chipped around the rim. But overall good experience and would stay here again.

I loved my room, it was the nicest room I had stayed in durring my 3 weeks in Italy. The only thing I wish had been different is the breakfast....not anything special at all. The restaurant was not open for dinner at all. : ( The staff was very nice and helpful. Very close to the train station, a big plus. I would definately recommend this Hotel. As far as Rome goes, enjoy, but be leery of anyone unprofessional who pretends to offers help, they will expect to be paid. Watch your wallet at all times, and all ways. Do not mail your goods back home, you probably won't ever see them again.

A good hotel, just a bit "vintage", but this is a positive aspect, in my opinion. Very good if you arrive by train both from airtport than from elsewhere, same if you arrive by bus from airports. Closely near to metro bus station. A very good ratio quality/price

Despite some confusion at check-in (they didn’t have my reservation, although it was confirmed through venere.com), a room was found for me promptly. Hotel Royal Santina is a relatively well priced, large-style hotel and is located about 100m outside the Termini train station and can easily be reached on foot. The hotel is a modern building, probably from the ’50 or the ‘60’s, which still has some nice vestiges of its ‘modernity’. On the day of my arrival, the parking area in the front of the hotel was filled with tour buses and it appears that its main clientele is large groups. The room was basic, but relatively well outfitted with twin beds and a tub/shower. However, the room looked ‘worn out’ and not clean, although it may have been. It could use renovating and updating. The buffet style breakfast was served in a window-less, but pleasant, cafe space at the end of the lobby and was quite fine. If you require a basic accommodation close to the train station (for a flight out the next morning, as I did) the location is great. If you are a tourist looking to experience historical, romantic Rome, I’d recommend, that you look for rooms in the center of the city, so that you may explore on foot and be nearer to the sites of interest.

Despite being advertised as such there was no bar/fridge or safe in the room. We were told only half the rooms had those facilities. The coffee at breakfast was instant which one wouldnt expect at 4 star level. Being a coffee addict I was very dissapointed. Great location for the train and metro.

This hotel is overpriced and not upto 4 star description. Rooms are small; air conditioning is barely adequate and breakfasts are inconsistent and basic. (Too dependent on which breakfast room one is sent to.) For 175 Euros per night one expects more. Guests are paying for the central location of the hotel. Quite frankly, I would not recommend this hotel either for business or pleasure. Please note, I travel extensively around the world staying in numerous hotels for business. I have stayed in hotels half the price that were considerably better. I would suggest that this hotel is 3 star but only if the room rates are significantly reduced.

We were two women travelling alone. The train station is within view of the hotel and the area was quite busy BUT the block is like many urban areas around many train stations... dirty, dark, and with homeless people all along the route. Since the neighborhood felt a bit worrisome, we were relieved the hotel had a restaurant, but we just barely got a meal there because it closed at 9:30 PM. So, if you're arriving at all late, best grab some food at the station before you head down the block. Otherwise, it was comfortable and very convenient!

For what it is, it's location and the fact that this is Rome, Royal Santina is not a bad choice for a brief stay in the city. It's location, just a matter of a few steps from the train station is excellect. Overall quality, for Rome is OK. I would stay here again.

This is not a 4 star hotel. I paid 80 euros a night in milan for a true 4 star and had an amazing time, gourmet breakfast, smiley personnel, and the TV worked. I requested my tv to be checked out and no one ever came up. But the location was excellent, and we were very comfortable. the tub was great and the bathroom very comfortable. The lady in charge of breakfast hates her life though. Poor lady!! The service from Venere was great indeed. We would actually come back and stay there only for the location, and hopefully if we book earlier it would be cheap. Thanks a million, we loved Rome!!

I found this hotel to be very over priced for the services provided. the restaurant staff was positivey the rudest i have ever encountered in my long travel experience. the front desk staff was very nice for the most part but the sales manager seemed to act outside the boundaries of italian law by charging me an additiona 20,00 euro for the last night and he was unwilling to make any changes even when i explained according to italian law he had no authority to do so. you can stay in a three star hote in Via Veneto for thesame price and get excelent treatment, a wonderful accomodations and friendy staff.I woud never reccommend this hotel to anyone!

The public areas of hotel were satisfactory. Carpets/curtains have seen better days and edges of carpets had not been vacuumed. "Hot" breakfast was rather a disappointment. Otherwise hotel was satisfactory, although on arrival person on reception desk was very unhelpful. It should perhaps be pointed out that this area is quoted in various tourist articles as "unsavoury" although we found no problem!!!

Our stay was good the location was very good and it was ultra easy to get to and from Caimpino and the bus goes right to the front door. The rooms were clean and servicable btu it was perhaps without much character and the staff were ok not really bad bit not really good either. In general it was handy and sufficient but perhaps a little expensive for what it was.

Rooms needed upgrading, corners of carpets needed hoovered, public areas better, staff on reception very hospitable but breakfast staff needed to learn how to smile, good location for sightseeing and great if you travel with ryan air since their shuttle bus picks up and drops off at the door
