Lovely hotel, but lacked tea/coffee making facility in the room. Bathroom had only one drawback, and this was the sink did not hold water and this is a standard feature in all bathrooms, so there is a tremendous water wastage. The hotel could be in a better location, but there were free buses outside the hotel.

This hotel doesn't deserve 3 stars! how don't know how is it possible it is part of the Best Western chain... overall it is suggestible for tourists because it is very close to San Giovanni. Do not suggest it to business travelers!

We have had a great time in Rome, hotel is near to colloseum and Lateran/walking distance 20 minutes. Staff is very friendly. Some nice restaurants nearby also shopping facilities. Breakfast is great. Enough to eat and good selection. Nearby is bus station/across the road and the metro is just ca. 400 metres away. I can recomment the Best Western Hotel Piccadilly and may be I come back.

This was my first visit to Europe/Italy to meet my daughter...our room and bathroom had been completely remodeled and was beautiful...we were on the front side of the building but I liked looking out the window at the traffic and sights and sounds....the breakfast included traditional european meats and breads and also the American eggs and bacon and was very nice and the gentlemen in charge of the breakfast room were very polite and accommodating....the view from the breakfast room is spectacular for photographs....the subway is close and there is shopping although it took awhile to figure out department stores etc....it was great having access to an internet computer free of charge...the elevators in Italy take patience but I love everything Italian so it didn't bother me...I loved the coffee machine in the lobby that made coffee and tea...

We arrived at the hotel after a long train trip from Sicily and had to carry our bags up a flight of stairs to reception. The gentleman on the desk was very unfriendly and not at all welcoming. We were not impressed. He thawed out a bit the next time we saw him. The lifts were extremely slow and could not hold more than three people at a time. Our rooms were very small, but neat, clean and quite comfortable for our needs. Ensuite bathroom was spotless. There was free internet in the foyer. Breakfast was very nice, but staff again a bit glum. We were a short walk to the metro, but as we only had a short overnight stay did not explore the area near the hotel. We could only find a pizza restaurant near the hotel, and it was frequented by locals and was packed. The food was very good. We would probably stay elsewhere if we came to Rome again.

Staff not helpful no tea making facilities in room - had to ask 3 times before a kettle and tea were provided. very noisy rooms because of very busy traffic outside. thought from the description the hotel was located near the colleseum - but it was a very long walk. poor breakfast - not even toast available and no waiter service for hot drinks.

In Spain, this Hotel there must be a 2 stars but for Italy it's OK. The Hotel it's so close of the impressive Basilica of Sant Giovanni Laterano and this metro station (10 min. to center). Only the quietness of rooms was very poor.

- very friendly services, the rooms cold be more spacious, and the elevators are to slow and to narrow. 4 person capacity and a second with 6 Person capacity for the whole hotel. But the second lift was occupied by craftsmen, who were just remodeling the complete hotel.

Hotel services are adequate to the price. Breakfast is better than in other hotels (ham, salami, spread cheese, tin fruit, croissants, eggs and bacon, different sorts of bread). During our stay the other rooms were in reconstruction, but we were not bothered by the noise. Our room was a bit too small.

I have just returned from 3 nights at the Picadilly and have to say it is a very comfortable and well located tourist hotel. It is located no more than 5-10 minutes from San Giovanni metro station on the very busy Via Magna Grecia. The area feels very safe as the vast majority of residents are local, I could not see any other hotels in the area. The room is functional and clean, they are in the process of refurbishing the hotel, the room had all the amenities you would expect, a decent bathroom, towels are provided, TV, mini bar. The windows are double glazed which allowed a good night's sleep. The Via Magna Grecia is a busy and noisy road (even at night) why do the Italians love their car horns so much. The only slight downside was the lift, very slow and at breakfast time it took what seemed like ages to arrive at your floor empty, as it only takes 3 people. Breakfast is in a 8th floor dining room with a great view over the city, you can just about make out the top of the Colosseum and St Peters is clearly visible. The buffet breakfast offers a good variety of options, I found the scrammbled eggs and bacon very good. We found the staff fantastic, they all spoke very good English and were most helpful especially when explaining the excellent public transport to us. Bus 87 stops directly opposite and takes you to the Colosseum and terminates not too far a walk from the Vatican, the 360 takes you to Termini railway station. I can highly recomend 'l Corsari', turn right from the main doors and the restaurant is on the other side of the road about 100 yards away. We ate there twice, the quality is excellent and the waiting staff are very hellpful, the restaurant is frequented mainly by the locals so the prices aren't a rip-off. All in all we found it a perfect base to see the sites, the traffic noise is the only consideration - maybe a room on the opposite side to the Via Magna Grecia would be quieter.

I stayed in a single room. Pros: Excellent breakfast (fine food and nice service, with a wonderful view on the Rome city centre from the breakfast room). Clean, silent and comfortable rooms. Free of charge internet point. Bus stop just in front of the hotel. Cons: My venere reservation was lost by the hotel reservation system. The printer of the internet point was out of service. Very few tv channels.

Very nice hotel with a friendly staff, clean accommodations and almost full self serve breakfast. This was the most modern hotel we stayed in during out 2 week stay in Italy. We were informed by Best Western Reservations and by their website, that foldaway beds were available for additional guests. A number of guests travelled with us on this premise, however no foldaway beds are available at this hotel and never have been. Receptionist was rude and unhelpful and came across as though we were lying despite showing him an email stating such a facility. As a result some of the other guests travelling with us had to sleep on the floor or book and pay for rooms which they had not originally budgeted for. If you are planning a trip to this hotel and are expecting a foldaway bed for adults or children, you will not get it so budget for additional room.

We were 20 minute drive from Ciampino airport, an easy walk from the San Giovani Metro stop--we could buy bus passes at the front desk--and a bus to the Piazza Venecia stopped in front of our door. The breakfast was wonderful with a spectacular view of the city. The room was very clean and although small, much bigger than what I expereicned before in two other hotels in Rome. The staff was gracious and helpful. My email requesting seprerate beds was answered promptly. Electic window shutters were effective to control light and noise.

Hotel is conveniently located for the metro (< 5 minutes walk but for perio from Otcober to soem indeterminate date in the future due to line extension work, the lines closes at 21.00 each evening so NO use for later trips/returns form central area) and for 2 bus services (one direct to the Vatican and the other to the central area around Termini station. Hotel has no restaurant for dinner but some restaurants close by in side streets which are good and in some cases subtantially cheaper than many of the the Rome tourist oriented reataurants. The breakfast provided is more subatantiol than the cointinental style breakast expected. Overall, would recommend the hotel on quality/price/convenient location basis

Having stayed in Best Western Hotels in Italy and elsewhere, I found the Piccadilly disappointing. However, it was fairly priced for the centre of Rome, the rooms were very clean and the Foyer and room staff very good. The restaurant (Available only for breakfasst) let the hotel down. The staff seemed disinterested and the food was very poor.

No volería a ir.

For the money, it's not worth it. Luckily it is near a bus stop, but not at all close to the metro. The rooms are small and not spotless. The continental breakfast was good, but many other hotels are better. For a last minute booking, it's okay. If planning far in advance, keep looking.

I stayed on the fourth floor facing the street which turned out to be quite noisy at night. A metal shuuter was rolled down almost to the bottom and couldn't be raised which blocked out most of the light from the windows. The staff were friendly though and overall with its close proximity to the St. Giovanni metro stop it was a convenient location to go into the major tourist spots such as the trevi fountain etc.

The single room was tiny but comfortable. It was at the back, so there was no problem with the noise of the traffic. The location was terrific-5 minutes from the Metro, and the no.87 bus stopped right outside. For the price it was good value for money and I will probably stay there when I go back to Rome.

Not a nice place to stay - expensive and besides being close to the Metro, it's nothing to ride home about. I particularly didn't appreciate being left out standed on the sidewalk along with 3 others guests at 2am on a saturday night because the evening attendant was gone for evening stroll - for an hour and a half!

I was fine staying at this hotel alone for a week while attending a conference. Pleasant, friendly staff who spoke English. The room I'd reserved for 1 person was minute and cell-like, but they were able to upgrade me to a double-room which was small but fine for one. One problem: When I arrived, I found the reception area was not on the ground floor, and the elevator did not reach street level, so I had to struggle alone with some very heavy bags to get upstairs to the elevator. There was no way to ask for help and I didn't want to leave my bags unattended to go seek help. This was my only problem. There was a good busline right in front, and acess 3 blocks away to the subway. Breakfast was included and was good, although fresh fruit would have improved it.
