We stayed in Rome for 5 days, this hotel was in a brilliant location, only 5 minutes walk from termini station which is the central station all the buses and metro go from! The reception staff were welcoming and friendly and the room was cleaned immaculately every day. The room was smaller than expected and could hear noise of cars on the street but overall was excellent and would highly reccommend to anyone!

I did not find a pair of slippers in my room, though I found them in my room at Best Western Hotel Palazzo Ognissanti in Firenze. And, I did not find vegetables at breakfast. I only found juice including carrot. I found small tomatoes at breakfast at Best Western Hotel Pallazo Ognissanti. But I found a small bottle of sparkling wine on Dec.31,2011, when I came back to my room. It was wonderful.

We traveled to 3 cities in Italy and unfortunatly Rome was the first, because Best Western spoiled us. The other 2 hotels had TINY rooms with LIMITED "breakfast" service and no view. And all were for about the same price.

We had a very bad first night because of people running at the superior floor. We easily changed the room for the following night. The breakfast is not the best point of the hotel. We were easily lent an iron and table when we need it. The staff hardly speaks english or french.

The BW Artdeco was a very good hotel for the price. Although the neighborhood might not be as visually appealing as other areas of rome it is quite safe and is very convenient to the metro and train station. We found good restaruants nearby and if you're up to it, it's within walking distance to most of the major sights.

A rather expensive hotel having in mind there is no functional air conditioning in the rooms. The aircon is switched off during winter but for the italians winter continues up to June. You can be well sweating in your room, you will be provided with a fan.

We had a fantastic stay at BW Art Deco!! They were very welcoming, the breakfast was very decent for a buffet, the room was beautiful, and the location clean and safe. and it was cheaper than another place down the road we stayed which was only HALF as nice!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

That was my first time in Roma and first time at Hotel BW Artdeco. Overall, the room was ok but the shower was a little bit "rustic" to say the least and the breakfast wasn't varied enough being the same everyday and of poor quality.

We stayed at BWArtDeco for 4 days in early Oct./07. Hotel is very conveniently located to all major attractions via metro with a station within 5 minutes walk. Neighbourhood streets are quiet pretty much throughout the day with many reasonably priced resturants within walking distance. The buffet breakfast at the hotel was modest but adequate. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was more spacious than we expected given the location in the city center. Bathroom was quite large and spotlessly clean as was the room with the exception of the carpet which was desperately in need of cleaning attention. Overall we were quite pleased with this hotel for a short stay. We would be inclined to look elsewhere in the event of a longer stay simply because, when you return to the hotel at the end a day of touring, there are no options for relaxation outside of your room which is, of necessity, furnished only with a bed, a desk and a desk chair.

While one probably has nothing to complain about given the quality - price ratio of hotel rooms in Rome (and much of Continental Europe) I must say that my single room at Art Deco was rather small (perhaps that is what you get for Euro 120, B and B). I have indeed been to bigger rooms - in this I include school and college rooms I lived in - rather than 5 star hotels. On the whole, the hotel is not bad (and double & triple rooms are adequately sized from what I could see from my sneak peaks at cleaning time). It is clean, the breakfast is OK and the staff are, on the whole, decent. Also, the street the hotel is in is very quiet and safe as embassies and police abound. The location is a bit of a trek from the 'epicentre' of Rome (15-20 minutes) but the proliferation of busses/ taxis should make up for this for those who don’t wish to walk too much. For those who wish to see the famous Bernini and Boromini churches, the location is perfect – the majority of the most famous churches being ‘down the road’ from the hotel. People going there in April and even possibly May, may find it that the air conditioning is not on, especially in April. This month is still considered as cold by the Romans (not a hotel lie for I’ve seen many Italians dressed as one would dress in January in London) and so there is heating but no air conditioning. Overall impression is that in Rome, really, there isn’t much choice – either this, the very cheap places of , possibly, dubious nature or Euro 250/300 + (semi) luxury hotels in the ‘downtown’ area.
