Everything is fine, the staff, very helpful, especially Andrea and a very blonde girl from Finland whose name I don't remember. The wifi and computers very useful. The only thing to inprove is the amount of dishes for breakfast. There is not enough silverware, cups, etc. and you have to wait in order to have breakfast, until they wash. Sometimes your breakfast can take longer, and even you have to wait in line.

I read reviews on many Rome hotels before booking this and thought it came out very well and I have to say I was not disappointed. The metro line was a short walk away and very convenient and a bus that ran past the hotel took you right to Termini station. The rooms were very good and clean and the breakfast buffet was really good and the staff very helpful. I think at the price we paid of 86 euros it represented excellent value in Rome where the £ sterling and the $ do not go very far

This hotel was very clean and comfortable, good restaurant with an excellent breakfast included. Definitely caters to families which is nice. Our only problems were with staff being a little less helpful than we expected. On one occasion we asked for an extra blanket, and were questioned as to why we needed it and ultimately refused -- something I've never encountered in a hotel before. Also, on Saturday evening we asked desk staff if there was any restaurant in the area open where we could eat and the employee only said, "No. Nothing." The hotel is in a very quiet area and there were no restaurants open, but he might have mentioned (as we found out for ourselves by walking) that a few blocks away near Termini station were many nice restaurants. As it was we got the impression the hotel employee didn't care if we starved! No complaints about the hotel itself but the staff could have been more helpful, however as we spoke only English some of this might be due to language barriers.

In overpriced Rome this hotel seems to be reasonable choice. It is just 5 minutes walking from metro station Policlinico. Station of bus going to Termini is nearby. Hotel restaurant is too expensive for really satisfying dinner, but excellent alternatives are nearby, just about 400 meters down the hill. The breakfast exceeded expectations (diminished by information in travel guide about Italian hotels). Our room was spacious, clean and quiet.

Very good value for money. Excelent and very comfortable for families with young kids. There is toys in the room, and my kids were vary surprised and were happy to discovere them and play with the toys. Good breakfast. There is no hotel parking place, so thet's can be a problem if you with a car.

Travelling in 2 families, 8 altogether, (4 ad 4 children 5,14,15,16) We stayed at family rooms wich are very spacious and clean, only a little bit noise because it is on a main street, but didn't bother me or any one in our party, the children loved the bunkbeds, and my son had a good time play with toys in the bedroom, good idea some toys for them in bedroom. Internet was free at reception just need 2 ask 4 passaword and some times waiting 4 others finish using it, but was great 4 our tenegers 2 check their msn. Breakfast was good and included on the price, I wasn't expecting more than a bread and coffee, as they say for Italy it was a good variety. They have restaurant but didnt try, down the road have some restaurant and cafes open till late we had a lovely meal at Bracci&Abracci rst/pizzeria.The hotel is easy 2 reach by trem, from airport get a bus 2 metro( only way 2 trem station, but is just 10 min ride, the station is very rundown but everyone seems Ok with it)I can't remember but i think you need 2 change line once, the nearest station to the hotel is the Policlinico, than walk 5-10 min, just follow the road paralel 2 main street, where the univestity hospital is. We stayed 2 nights and I already recomended 4 my friend going in Oct time, also I will come back next time I visit Rome.

Good service, very good breakfast, everything would be perfect if the rooms wouldn´t be so noisy! Anyway we will back! Buen servicio, buenas instalaciones y muy buen desayuno! Todo estaría perfecto si tan solo no se escuchara tanto el ruido de los vecinos (especialmente los de arriba). De todas formas volveríamos a este hotel!

A very good hotel. The staff were very friendly, professional and efficient. The restaurant for breakfast was very large, clean, with new furniture. Breakfast was good. The restaurant staff were quick and efficient. We had a regular room (not one of the larger family rooms) which was fit for purpose but I would not recommend it to families with older kids. The location of the hotel is excellent, just on the edge of the centre with great tube, tram and bus links. 4 stops away from the colosseum by underground and 10 minutes away by bus/tram.

We were in Rome for 4 nights with our 5-year-old son and 7-year-old daughter. We booked this hotel mainly because of the family-friendly description we found in the reviews. Overall the experience was very good. Rooms were very clean, good size (for the standards in Europe) and comfortable. The restaurant was clean and good-quality food, although they could do slightly better on service, especially when we were trying to get room service one night (we were requested to go down to the restaurant to place the order since no menu was available in the room). We found some minor issues with wireless internet not working on the fourth floor and not so good noise insulation with neighbouring room. I would still consider it seriously next time we go back to Rome.

I booked here on the basis of reviews and I was not disappointed. I have 2 young children (2 and 4) and found it fantastic for them. While it is not club-med I felt the layout of the rooms, the toys in the dining area and the acceptance of children were great and helped us have a relaxing stay in Rome. The breakfast was great bearing in mind the price we were paying. It is by the university so it was very colourful with the student population and thia meant there are street stalls in the day and cheap restaurants, paninoteche and geleterie nearby. Access to termini was five minutes on the 310 bus which stops outside. I was really glad I booked here and would use this hotel even without the children; with my wife or on business.

This was a good value. A little bit away from the train station, but walkable. The breakfast was really great. The employees were really helpful. They only have one community computer so that sometimes was a problem, but it was free. Also, they have phone booths so that was nice to have some privacy for phone calls. Overall a great place to stay.

Directions could have been a bit clearer but was generally impressed with the hotel. Got the bus from Ciampino to Anagnina Line A, changed at Termini onto Line B, then two stops to Policlinico. A twelve minute walk past the university and you're there. Would recommend buying a decent street map! Good buffet breakfast with wide choice and helpful staff. Could leave cases there during the day before check-in and after check-out. Metro cheap and can travel anywhere on Line A/B in 75 minutes! Two stops from Termini and four stops to the Colosseum where you can walk to Spanish steps, Trevi fountain, Piazza Navona, etc. Buses also cheap! 4 euros for a return to Tivoli (Villa Adriana) from Ponte Mammolo Line B. Would stay there again...

If you ask me "will you stay this hotel one more time?" My answer is 'Sure!' I staied 4 nights. The rooms are clean. People at the hotel are very good. I feel like at home. A little poor thing is 5~7 mins walk to metro station. But it really does'nt mean at all. Very good hotel. One tip : If you need a taxi then ask it to hotel. Hotel has fixed rate taxi and very kind.

The reception staff was quick to find out the address of a restaurant we were inquiring about even if we did not ask for it. That is what I call excellent customer service! That kind of service does not exist anymore. From wait staff to cleaners to reception, they all seem to be very well trained and dedicated to their jobs. Very clean hotel, complete facilities and family friendly too. Great breakfast. I do not mind taking the metro out of the center to come home to a great and safe hotel like this.

We have been to Rome on many occasions but this is the first time we have stayed at the Globus Hotel. The accommodation and services were quite definitely good value. The staff at the reception desk were quite charming and most helpful. The staff in the diningroom were very hardworking and most accommodating. The hotel was ideally placed for Stazione Termini and very convenient for public transport. I would most definitely stay at this hotel again.

We needed a comfortable base for exploring Rome. (two kids 9 & 13, mum & dad) The family room was excellent value and with the nearest metro (polyclinico), just 10 minutes walk we were within striking distance of the main attractions. Hotel staff were excellent and room well appointed. Not disapointed in any way at this price band - highly reccomended

The Family room was very spacious, the staff excellent. The location in Rome is great for Metro links. We even used a Taxi from the door of the hotel to the Trevi fountain for €9 (Two Parents and two kids). The surrounding area seems a bit drab but is in no way threatening and the local bars/restaurants were excellent value, probably because it's a University Area. Our two young children (2+4) particularly enjoyed the toys in the restaurant/bar area. Next time we are staying in Rome we will be back.

Room was very small!if you see the pictures on site it is a huge difference with reality... The beds where very uncomfortable. there was a balcony but did not look very save to sit on. we were picked up from the airport by a hotel driver, and the driver asked us more money then the amount we agreed on with the hotel; when I mentioned this to the receptionist he said something like 'o, not nice of him' and that was it...which was dissapointing. overall not a hotel we would like to go back to, sorry to say. There is no such thing as an hotel bar or somewhere in the evening to sit and have a drink. In the area of the hotel everything closes at 8pm. When we asked for a nice restaurant in the area the receprionists sends EVEYONE in the hotel to the same restaurant.

The overall stay at Best Western Globus was an excellent one! The hotel room was always clean and welcoming, with candies on our pillows every day. We had a family room that was quite roomy i.e. the layout of the room is spacious - bunk beds for our daughters and a king/queen size bed. Lots of space! We also had free wireless internet access and the free mini bar was refilled each day. We spent 6 nights here and took the metro to all the major sites. On leaving the hotel you can make a left and continue one block to take Tram 19 or bus 3 to the nearest metro. If not, you can walk to the metro (Policlinico) - its roughly a 7-10 minutes walk. We have never waited more than 3 minutes for a tram or bus!!. We had the Roma Pass which gave us access to all modes of transportation. Breakfast was quite ample and good - just like what other reviewers have already noted. At Termini Station there is a supermarket and lots of restaurants are available there - its only 2 metro stops from the Policlinico metro. Construction was taking place at the hotel during our stay, but we were never bothered by it. We highly recommend this hotel and would definitely return here.

I was delighted with my stay in the Globus Tulip. The staff were excellent, efficient, friendly. I had the misfortune to require a doctor and the staff were so sensitive to my needs. The food was excellent, good selection, good quallity and value. The bus and subway stops are very convienent which make the location central. I would recommend this hotel to all my friends and I will book again for my next trip. They even organised a packed breakfast for us on the day we checked out as we were leaving at 6.45am. The welcome received when we arrived about half an hour before the rooms were to be available was good. A quick phone call showed that the non smoking, quiet rooms requested were available and we were allowed to use them straight away. We went with two other couples and one of the rooms allocated had a large square balcony where we could meet as a group. The bustle from Students in the street outside was reassuring in that the hotel in not situated down a run down dimly lit area and good food at a reasonable price would be available. We were not disappointed. Transport to the more tourist areas of Rome was easy and cheap (11 Euros for unlimited travel for three days on the Metro, buses and trams). It was 500yards to the Metro, the bus 310 stopped outside the hotel and the tram # 19 to the vatican about 100 yards. Very good value for money.

Family with 2 daughters (18 and 16 y/o). We own a car. We stayed at the hotel 3 nights. Here are the problems we faced: Problem 1: Two lifts were out of order, only one was functioning, so most of the customers used the stairs. Problem 2: Breakfast place was too small, so there was always a queue waiting for a free table. Problem 3: Soon after breakfast we found our room occupied by cleaning staff working there, so we had to wait at the corridor. Problem 4: Metro station was open up to 11:30 pm, so we had to take a taxi. Problem 5: No free parking place, so we had to pay 11 euros per day for parking on the street. And now the advantages: Adv. 1: Relatively close to the center (20 min. by metro) Adv. 2: Safe neighborhood Adv. 3: Logical prices

Very nice hotel. Very friendly and competent staff. Rooms spacious, clean and enjoyable. Location very suitable for visits to the city center, due to vicinity to the underground station (Policlinico). We booked a family room and were informed by e-mail that the room would have two double beds. In fact this was not the case. There was a double bed and a bunk bed - hardly sufficient for a 15 and a 21-year old. Then there was a nasty smell in the room, especially when the room has been shut for some time. We informed the reception but nothing was done. The worse point was on our first night when the fire alarm went off and apparently, it was a fault. No one knew how to turn it off. People had jumped out of bed and rushed downstairs in the sleeping gear. On the plus side, the breakfast was fine. Personally, I wouldn't return to this hotel for this price!

Great value hotel. Room was surprisingly big and comfortable. Generally quiet although there were some building works taking place which we hadn't been warned about in advance. 10 minute walk from Metro which provided a reliable frequent service to the major places of interest. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was painful, however, as we had to wait around 15 minutes to be seated and then they kept running out of cups, bowls, coffee, cereal etc. The breakfast room was not big enough to accomodate the number of guests although it looked like this was in part due to the building works. The surrounding area is not inspiring but felt safe enough even at night.

Very good hotel, especially for families with children. The employees was always very kind and helping, the breakfast was marvellous. The restaurant was also good and not so expensive. Our room was clean and very large, kids had a lot of space for them, the minibar was free and there was a jacuzzi in the bathroom. We enjoied so much our holiday in Rome, the hotel was near the underground station Policlinico and there was the bus to Termini just outside the front door. Finally, it was a good choice.

A clean hotel with spacious bedroom, helpful staff, and close to Rome's underground system. However, breakfast room was chaotic around 9.00 am - better to be in there before 8.30 am or you might not be served !

Very good hotel, especially the breakfast, u have a lot of choices. The only weakness is that only one bus can reach the place. Normally we stayed outside until 11 o'clock, but we had to wait for the bus for a long long time (15-30 mins)!!! Anyway, it is a really hotel, I would recommend this one!!!

In my opinion, this hotel is true to its class based on international standard. I've seen hotels here in Italy claiming 3 star but could hardly live up to two stars standard. If I will be asked to describe this hotel in one word, it should be "best", as it complies w/ its name. The building is nice. A bit modern but who needs ancient accommodation, when you can see a lot of them in Rome. The ambiance in the lobby and restaurant were nice. The staffs were helpful and friendly w/ smile on their faces (specially in the restaurant where they all try to make every guest comfortable and satisfied), w/c is rare in business establishments in Italy. The room was perfect. I did not expected it as it was in the picture. But it was more than that. All comforts; bathrobes, slippers, fridge, even a stereo, coffee pot, toiletries, all the basic things that you need. The location was convenient and accessible. Near Termini station and colosseo. Bus stop and tram stop are very near. Breakfast was superb and sumptuous. You can be assured that you can start the day w/ full stomach. If we go back to Rome, we will definitely stay again in this hotel. Our stay w/ Best Western Globus made our short leisurely trip to Rome comfortable, wonderful and memorable. Thumbs up to Best Western Globus Hotel and Venere.com.

Good location: 50 m from the busstop, less than 10 minutes walk from the underground or less than 10 Euro taxi drive to or from the centre. Excellent price/quality. The breakfast is very good. Regarding restaurants the centre offers better and cheaper options than this hotel. Everybody will like this hotel also people with kids. Tickets for public transportation for sale opposite to the hotel (one Euro per ticket for 75 minutes unlimited travelling, buses under 14 years for free). The entrance of the hotel has a staircase!

Our family (with teengaers) stayed at the Globus for 9 nights and we all loved it, especially the breakfasts! Ask for a cappucino - they make it for you and it is delicious. The hotel is about 5 blocks from the Policlinico metro station, not a long walk at all. We ate down the street at the Baci a Abraccio restaurant; great food. I would stay here again if I came back to Rome.

We had an excellent time at this hotel. Our triple room was very spacious. The bathroom was the biggest I've ever had in Europe, with a shower with multiple heads. Very nice after a 100 degree day in Rome! It was a little outside the main part of the city, about a 15 minute walk to Termini, and 5-7 minute walk to the metro station, 10-12 euro cab ride from Termini. There aren't many restaurnts in the area, but there was a great pizza place/snack bar just down the street that was incredibly cheap and open late. They had a big free continental breakfast that was very good. Also, free internet in the lobby was handy. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Rome.

Although we had book the room through Venere, the hotel didn't have our reservation (overbooking??? I recommend checking with the hotel before getting there). They were really nice and found a room in another hotel for 1 night. Besides this, nothing negative to say. Great place!

Excellent hotel, great breakfast, one of the waitresses provided really excellent service and helped us get all the food even though it was a buffet she brough us cappuccinos and other stuff to the table. rooms are spacious and clean and the whole decor in the hotel and esp breakfast room is very bright and sunny/cheery. Minibar was free! though didnt have too much in it but not bad for a free mini bar. We had a nice little music system in the room too

Room was great, a little disappointed that the "family room" that we booked had a chair and not a couch as shown in the picture when we booked. The staff could not have been more helpful--we LOVED THEM! It was a great location and we had a wonderful time

Family from Germany (2 Adults, 2 Childs 12 and 8 years). We spent a great time in Rome with three nights in the hotel. The Globus Hotel was very good. A very kind stuff, clean rooms, a various and big breakfast buffet. The hotel is situated near the Metro Station Policlinico (5 min. by foot) from where you're in 5 further minutes at Statione Termini. If we will come back to Rome another time, we will surely choose this hotel again.

The Hotel is too far out of the City to be easily accessible - it is a long walk from the Metro station - and there is only one small local restaurant apart from that in the Hotel which is very over-priced.

It was our first visit to Rome as a family and so we booked into a best western accredited hotel as a pre-caution and after due consideration of all the past reviews of Globus Hotel. The family room which we reserved is simply appealing to the kids what with the toys and the fancy bunk beds provided for them; they are content with just playing inside the room. The state of the art bathroom and toilet as well as generous space of the family room is a welcome respite from a tiring day of walking in the hilly streets of Rome. The location is basically near the center of the old city of Rome less than a kilometer from Rome's central Termini train and bus station. The old city center where almost all the touristic sites are situated can readily be accessed by a bus along the the hotel road and the nearest Metro station is a few blocks away. There is also a tram bus station to the Vatican a block away. The breakfast buffet is really sumptous as advertised and more than enough to start our day. Our special commendation to the hotel restaurant ladies who were fast, courteous and very attentive in refilling the food and setting up the tables. Also we would like to commend the cleaning ladies who religiously make our room spotless every day despite the mess left by our kids. The reception lady and gentlemen were just as accomodating and cheerful. The location of the hotel is very safe being in the vicinity of the university area among the young and civilized crowd added by the feeling of security with the nearby interior ministry although the sounds of sirens coming from the ambulances in and out of the nearby hospital could be disturbing sometimes but if you are used to living in a big city then it comes just as natural. Lastly, we would like to acknowledge venere.com for presenting a factual and realistic presentation of the hotels in its portfolio like Globus Hotel.

The ratio quality/price is one of the best I have ever experienced. Please note that the nearest metro station is Policlinico and not Bologna as stated somewhere.

This was our first ever stay in Rome.We stayed for 4 nights. The hotel was easy to find and very easy to commute from to anywhere in Rome.We really enjoyed the excellent breakfasts! Our room was on the front and was incredibly noisy with the traffic and incessant ambulances. We found the bed very hard and so did not get much sleep during our stay. We enjoyed eating locally and found a super cafe at the end of the road. Luckily the weather was good and our room stayed warm as the central heating did not work despite the attempts of a plumber! Genearally the service was good although I came near to despair in trying to get a tea tray put in our room. The best service came from the female behind the reception desk. If I was given a quiet room and a different bed I would return to this hotel as it is excellent value for money, but I would not go back to that bedroom again.

Very decent, clean hotel. Not very close to Termini station as described. Take bus 310 from bus stand in front of Termini stop in front of hotel, taxis are a rip-off. No decent restaurants close by, hotels own restaurant limited choice.
