This hotel was excellent and exceeded all expectations. Front office staff were really good - very helpful and professional, room was very spacious (not expecting that in Rome) well appointed and beautifully clean, breakfast was really good and Wi-Fi fast. Good and reasonably priced restaurants nearby.

Lovely place, good breakfast, staff can be a bit indifferent (maybe that is merely professionalism). Several good eateries nearby, convenient train/metro/bus stations, efficient laundry service near the corner. Accept credit cards but "city tax" must be paid in euros.

Very clean and well run hotel. Staff was friendly and recommended good places to eat nearby. It was not far from the Termini where we able to use the hop-on hop-off buses for getting to all the great places in Rome, the Colosseum and Vatican etc.

10 minute walk from Termini station or there is a line b station 1 minute walk. Rooms are very nice, spacious, amenities offered were plentiful. The best breakfast we have ever had in Europe. Huge selection of foods. The area around the hotel i would classify as a 7 but felt totally safe. Would use this hotel again and again.

Stayed before at Hotel Canada several times and will do so again next time when I am in Rome. Excellent value-for-money. Rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean, very good breakfast buffet. Also very conveniently located close to Termini station, underground around the corner. Nice restaurants close by (I especially recommend "I leoni di Abbruzzo").

Well, two night stay in a comfortable, clean and pleasant room, overlooking a road, with soundproof windows and a superb breakfast included. Definitely a good hotel at a walking distance from Termini main railway station and just behind Metro B station, thus a multi-purpose strategic position. Prices may seem a bit high, but this is Rome. There are a very few steps outside and to the lift, may be a barrier for someone, all others will enjoy the stay.

The location was very central.I had some reservations staying close to a main railway station from a personal security perspective but these fears were unnecessary. Being so close to both Metro lines was very handy especially for the Vatican. We had a nice spacious room which was quiet. The breakfast was excellent with a wide range of items available in the buffet. We were able to leave our luggage in the hotel which meant we could make full use of our last day. It was a first visit to Rome but the next time we visit we would definitely consider using the B.W Hotel Canada again. We would recommend it to friends also.

First time at the Hotel and had a very good experience. We had a nice and large room with 2 windows facing the main street, but quiet, could not hear any noise from outside. Room was always pretty clean. It could be better if there was a minibar. Breakfast buffet was very good, great service, but you might need to wait a bit to be seated if hotel is full. The hotel is 1min away from a metro station and 5 min to the Termini train station, where there is also another metro station, which is very convenient. The area does not offer many options of good restaurants.

Beautiful hotel, but not in the center of Rome, anyway there is a metro station just next to the hotel and you can get to the city center in few minutes (the coliseum for example). But be careful the metro is really dirty and there are some pickpockets. Otherwise, all was fine, big buffet breakfast, nice little bar open until midnight, but no restaurant tho

a good hotel in an ok location for exploring rome (if your using the metro). from termini it's an easy 7/8min walk(make sure your at the right side! via marsala) ask for a tea/coffee kit when you check in. the metro station castro pretorio is just around the corner, we never waited more than 3mins for a train and it's a min to termini from were you can take either line. we bought roma pass's so had free unlimited travel on all public transport for 3 days. breakfast was...ok (one of the reasons i booked was a previous review saying breakfast was good, mmh! not sure about good but certainly not bad, ok covers it(depends what you like?) would happily stay here again if i ever return to rome

Nice, old-style hotel with antique elevator. Good thing we lived on the third floor and could easily walk. Breakfast is excellent for Italy, but the area can be crowded at times. Noise from the street is no problem, but if your bed is close to the door, you will hear everything going on in the corridor, including peaople arriving and departing at odd times. Many nice resturants within 5 min. walk. Not cheap.

We had a small group of five with three different rooms. All were happy with the choice. Good location for all transportation needs. Staff was excellent. Shower pressure was adequate to low, but only in our room.No A/C or small reefers. The larger rooms got great reviews from the others in my group, except for lack of these two important items. Our room got hot during the day and there was on place to put cold drinks to help cool down. Great public bar and breakfast (Euro style). Comfortable lobby area to mingle. Plenty of good restaurants close by.It is a little far for older people to drag a suitcase to from the termini, but no trouble for carry-on size. All would stay here again.

The hotel was pricey for the neighborhood it is located in. The neighborhood was not great, but it was close to the termini. A lot of homeless people. I did not feel that it was safe enough for my adult daughter to walk by herself in the neighborhood. The Wifi was an issue. I would not recommend this hotel for business stays. The Wifi did not work in our room and we had to constantly ask for a Wifi passwords to log in. The men at the front desk were a bit rude about us asking for passwords. The Wifi password was suppose to work for 4 devices, but it seldom worked for one device and did not work in our room on the fifth floor. We own our own business and even though we were in Rome on vacation, we needed to check in regularly. The Wifi was not reliable. However, overall the hotel was nice, very clean, the breakfast was wonderful, the cocktails and snacks at the end of the day were great!

Great hotel. Spacious room. Decent location. On the quieter, less touristy side of Termini station. Cool, old school decorating. Very close to Roma Termini station. Best Westerns in the US are a little ghetto. Not true in Italy, apparently. This was a nice place. Not super modern, but well kept and stylish. Wireless access was spotty, but that's the only bad thing. I would definitely stay here again. The place is good for business or couples.

Really surprised about this hotel. Had a solo trip to Rome and wasn't sure where to stay. I'm a little OCD and this place met my requirements. Had an advantage as this was low season and there were not that many guests in the hotel. Room was CLEAN *YAYY*, spacious. Hotel staff GianCarlo, Roberto and another guy (can't remember name) were the best. Made sure I had everything I needed/wanted...umbrella/iron, etc. They were really nice in helping with directions and places to eat.(Got houseshoes/MP3 player in room that plays in bathroom) Pleasantly surprised by this hotel! Enjoyed my stay! Tip: Lift/elevator is too cute, but super small. and there is no carpet, so sound travels, but didn't ruin stay.

Worth a special mention is both the breakfast ~~outstanding range of Continental food, and the bar ~~a range of free nibbles provided for customers and unbelievable value-for-money prices! The hotel is only a short walk from the Termini Station, so convenient for getting to anywhere in Rome. It is not in the most luxurious area by any means, but was safe and well-lit and there were lots of small restaurants and Trattorias nearby.

The concierge was very professional, nice, and helpful. The breakfast buffet staff were also very good, as was the buffet. Overall we were very pleased with the hotel, except one small negative.....our room smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. To be fair, we did not mention this to the staff, so we can't hold it against them.

I love this hotel, it is the only place I stay when I am in Rome. The rooms are beautiful and individual, with lovely antique furniture and spacious storage facilities. The staff are very kind and professional, the bar area is great, the breakfast super. Frankly, I have nothing bad to say about this place. I look forward to returning.

Superb hotel. Very friendly staff and very helpful. Close to station and very close to a metro stration. Good eating places nearby providing good value for money compared to the rip off places near the main tourist sites. Excellent breakfast, super size rooms and also quiet unlike other hotels we've stayed in where traffic noise is constant. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The only things to note are 1) There was someone else's used hand towel thrown over the shower curtain and 2)The "double" bed was 2 twins pushed together, which kept splitting apart. Otherwise a great, clean hotel. Would stay again.

Very nice hotel. Rooms are excellent. Free wifi/internet access. Super breakfast and lovely, helpful staff. Location is ideal - metro just around the corner and Termini station only 5 minutes walk away. Very reasonably priced bar and room service. Great restaurants close by. Would definately stay here again.

Hotel staff speaks good english and was very helpful and professional. Common area in lobby with nice seating and available bar service was very good. Our kids used a Wi video game system that was available free to all guests in the common area (a bit hit with them). They also had free small snacks and cookies in the bar area. Rooms were very large for Europe and very nice. Hotel location was very convenient (walking distance from main train station Rome Termini), but the area itself was just OK as is expected being so close to the train station. We took the subway at Rome Termini to go to all of the common tourist sites. Overall, we were extremely happy with this hotel and would highly recommend it.

Big clean rooms, breakfast is enjoyable (not typivally Italian), great choice of fresh fruit, cheeses, etc. Staff in the breakfast room behaves like the royal family, but one can easily do with this.

My wife and I stayed two nights in a corner room on the 2nd floor (3rd floor for USA), in mid-November. We chose Hotel Canada because of it's location (close to Termini, bus stops and the Metro rail) and based on reviews on the internet. Great room, great bed, nicely furnished, bath tub was unique old style but the shower was great. This was our last stop in Italy after spending several weeks in the Italian countryside. Rome is a good way to get back into the rush of city life before returning to the US and Hotel Canada was perfect. They also provide a very good breakfast buffet. I would like to see the room cost a little lower, but this is Rome.

We stayed in CANADA for 4 nights. Our room was in the corner of the hotel, off the elevator in 5. floor, so it was very quiet. We had a large twinbed-room with nice furniture and decoration. The welcome was friendly and helpful (luggage). We got many tips for visiting Rome at the reception. Breakfast was great - the best we ever had in a city-hotel. Termini is only 600 meters away, also the stop of hop on - hop off bus and local busses. So it was easy to visit all sights. There are little restaurants nearby. We can recommand the hotel warmly

We had an excellent holiday in Hotel Canada. Very well located in Rome with good surroundings. Staff were excellent and very helpful and corteous. Bedroom was superb and well serviced. Breakfast was very good and quite sufficient. Bar was very reasonable. However, noise from an outside adjacent late night bar on our side of the hotel at night went on until the early hours of the morning and was a problem. This noise continued despite closing all shutters. Otherwise, stay was first class and we highly recommend this hotel.

I booked the Hotel Canada for my teenage daughter and my last night in Italy. I chose this hotel because of the good reveiws and it was within reasonable walking distance from the Rome Termini. We were arriving from Venice via train and catching the train to the airport the next day. The room we were given was lovely and had obviously not long ago been refurbished. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom well stocked with toiletries and slippers (only one pair). The staff were very pleasant and helpful and breakfast was good. This Hotel met our needs very well. I would not stay in this part of Rome if I were staying for any longer than 2 nights. Not the choicest part of Rome.

There is no refrigerator in my room. The receptionist told me that they have room service instead of refrigerators free of charge. Their room service was quite fast and drinks were cheap. If you want a refrigerator in your room, I won't recommend this hotel.

A very beautiful room and hotel with excellent service. Only very good things to say about the hotel and room. Well situated for access to Rome;s main train station. Ok neighborhood and moderately good access to major sites in Rome. Overall, a wonderful room and moderate access to important sites.

Stayed for 5 nights in one room with 2 extra beds to accomodate our 2 adult children. Room and washroom were very adequate for 4 adults! Bar/lounge area in main lobby was awesome with drinks the most reasonable you will find in Rome. The buffet breakfast which is included in the room price, was outstanding...the coffee was the best we had...very satisfying. There was some problem with the room air conditioner...it was a bit noisy when the fan was turned up to work properly. All in all, this hotel was more than adequate for the price...one of the least expensive for its location!
