Hotel Best Western Beau Site - Rocamadour

Lo elegimos como alternativa próxima a Cahors y descubrimos Rocamadour, un lugar precioso, cargado de historia, tradiciones, etc. El hotel estupendo.

A wonderful hotel, right in the middle of Rocamadour, with a restaurant (Jehan de Valon) well worth visiting: lovely food, great view and perfect service. Parking is just beside the hotel - with little space hotel staff take care of all guests' car keys. But make sure they have them - otherwise you might have to wait an hour before another car owner's keys are located...

This hotel was better than I had expected. We enjoyed the room, the breakfast and above all, the dinner at the restaurant. I will definitely recommend to my friends.

Lovely hotel, superb location and view. Directions for arriving by car are a bit vague. You need to drive right into the pedestrianised section of town. Parking is valet. Hotel restaurant is pricey but you don't need to use it, there are other nearby options.

This village, hanging onto a cliff, was a place beyond my wildest dreams and this hotel was the best place to stay. Looking out my window I could see how life might have been in medieval times. Walking the narrow streets and climbing the stairs to the monastery was an amazing experience. On the stairs I found fossils in the stone that people have been walking on for centuries. The lobby of the hotel was gorgeous and full of history. Nearby is a place where you can visit Monkeys and walk among them. That was very fun. You get to feed them and talk to them but you cannot touch them. It is a haven for an endangered variety of monkeys. We mostly just enjoyed staying in the village and hiking the trails. Our room was so comfortable and had a canopy bed. The shops are really cute and have good stuff in them. Everyone is so happy there. At night you here people talking quietly and laughing in the streets if you have your window open. I liked that. They all eat later than California people eat, so we were in bed while they were eating. There is a pool there, but don't count on it being open. They say not many people use it. We would have, had it been open. I found that all through France, no one had their pool open for use. Californians like to swim. Also it stays light until 10:30 at night before it starts getting dark so it is kind of hard to go to bed early.
