Best Western Hotel Farnese - Parma

The hotel is not well located and it's a good 20 minute walk to the center of town. We were too tired to walk back and took a taxi (10 euros). Other than that, comfortable, clean room. Excellent breakfast, good Parma ham and Parmesan cheese.

Though not located in city center, it is just around 10-15 mins walk which is acceptable, and it is indeed a 4 stars hotel which provides very nice room, breakfast and very helpful staff. The special offer with decent discount makes a very good quality/price ratio.

It was a good stay. The restaurant was good. It will be nice if the Staff could give some sugestion and ideas about what to do in the area and where to eat.

Very good hotel, as well as the staff

Excellent établissement, situé dans un quartier calme dépourvu de tout charme. Mais en 20' de marche à pieds, l'on accède au centre ville de Parme enchanteur. Chambre (twin) spacieuse. Piscine de l'hotel non utilisée par manque de temps, mais d'une taille suffisante pour se détendre. Excellent petit déjeune

We had a good time in Parma, 20 minutes walk to Parma center. Nice welcoming, pity the restaurant was closed for the weekend. Good room for smaller children but not practical for teenagers, small bunker bed, should have been better with 4 beds.

My best choice in Parma. Hotel staff was fantastic!

Except for one front desk person who was quite unpleasant, the general impression is a very positive one: good-sized rooms, very clean, location near parma, great breakfast, very good restaurant. truly to be recommended.

Nice Hotel, quiet, easy to reach by car. Unfortunately it is not close to downtown and you need to go there bay car (5 min) and find a parking.

Wireless internet is charged extra - will be the reason why I pick another hotel next time.

The hotel is very nice-clean, comfortable, nice furnished. I didn't like much the location, but if You are traveling by car it's not a problem.

No problem, except too much noise from the restaurant!

An excellent value. Staff was uniformly friendly and helpful. It had all the amenities one would expect at a four star facility even though it is rated as three stars and priced as a three star. The only downside was its location. There are no restaurants within walking distance.

Family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teenagers) on vacation. We stayed in Parma because we are food buffs and love our proscuitto. Parma is a fantastic place, food was excellent everywhere, in 2 days we did not have a bad meal. Great value, restaurants were the most reasonable of all Italy....quality was excellent as well Went shopping in the outlet centre nearby, great great great.

The room we booked (four people)was absolutely clean and large, with a beautiful bathroom; excellent breakfast! Good position towards the centre of Parma (by car); people at the desk nice and helpful. I will go there again if needed!!!

The room is not constructed for 4 people. But for 1 night, and the price I payed, it was quite ok. Esp. welcome and breakfast was much better than expected!

Tout est parfait

It was not so easy especially at night to find the hotel due to the small signs leading to hotel. They should really be bigger. The hotel in total was ok; just to mention that the hotel restaurant was only opened at 7:30 in the evening (should open before) and the breakfast room should be open before 6:30 (most of the things were already prepared at 6:20 but access was denied). I would choose this hotel again.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff are very friendly and competent. THe breakfast is excellent. We loved the gym. The only drawback is that the location is not fantastic and not pretty. Its a bit out of the way but there is a bus service into town.

To add to the above information, the breakfast is excellent, with prosciutto del Parma and many fresh fruits and cakes. I've got free maps and a lot of information from the staff.

Everything was nice at the hotel, except the air conditioning was broken. It was quite uncomfortable in the room, as we could not open the windows because of bugs. Overall, the hotel had a lot of amenities and services that were above average. The breakfast was great!

Nice place, harder to find than expected

Despite being a nice hotel with generally friendly staff, the overall rating is slightly below average. We were only stopping for a brief overnight stay to freshen up whilst crossing Italy, and unfortunately, at no fault of the staff, the hot water system failed. There was no communication of this fact (I was left to run the shower for 10 minutes before asking a cleaner if it was working), I got the impression that had I not confirmed this at reception we would not even have been told and when we checked out we were offered no apology or reduction in room rate to compensate for an inability to freshen up before leaving the hotel. P.s. when asked to 'modify' the response, the website removes all previous answers rather than allowing simply modification.
