Room (and bathroom) were nice, clean, spacious and mine was even with a small garden. But day and night the whole room was vibrating with the sound (like explosions) of the other room-doors closing. If that does not matter to you, I recommend the hotel. It has as good location in Paris itself and a nice staff. And take the hotel-breakfast (even if it is not really cheap at 16 Euro), the cafes around the hotel don't really offer value for the money.

Very nice and spacious room, BUT : - Much too hot in room, even with radiator turned OFF ! - Breakfast is sold for 16 euros, which is unacceptable for a (good but basic) continental bk : no fresh fruit, no eggs, etc...

There is no restaurant in the hotel, only a breakfast room and as it was advertised as providing room service, I had booked on the basis I could get an evening meal in my room. However, there are lots of restaurants and cafes near the hotel, 2 cinemas, close to RER & Metro to get between airports plus big Monoprix. Staff were very nice and gave good informatin but you do need to speak some french. Room was well equipped and a good size for central Paris, only drawback was no shower curtain (the norm) as the water would go all over the floor when held in the wall fitting. Naturally, hotel breakfast is overpriced but so many cafes close by you needen't worry.

Good location. Lovely hotel. Clean room. Nice staff. There was only one disturbing thing: you could hear the people on the above room walking. It is not pleasant especially in the morning. There are lot of shops and restaurants in the area. We loved mostly the oysters restaurant.

Very comfortable hotel, 100 meters from the subway Station called "Vavin". The staff is truly helpful, and they try to make you feel at home. Quiet area, nice rooms, and a good general impression. I would go back!

Although the hotel wasn't bad, I had a very uncomfortable and confusing experience. One day i found my luggages opened, "somebody" broke the locks trying to steal and the safety box wasn't in its right place. Fortunately he/she just found dirty clothes inside the luggage and couldn't open the safety box so he/she left without stealing anything. When I asked the managers about this incident they just said that were surprised and that if i would like i could go to the police. They argued that probably I left the door opened, but the lady who cleaned my room said that when she went in she didn't see my suitcases opened and the locks on the floor so it happened after she left my room.

Very clean, modern and comfortable ground floor room with access to small garden. Large and modern bathroom, very clean. Staff friendly and efficient. Interesting and attractive area of Paris, plenty of restaurants and cafes and close to Metro and RER. Luxembourg Gardens are beautiful and nearby. We would have liked some tea or coffee making facilities in the room but we would definitely use this hotel again.

This was our first trip to Paris and we could not ask for a better hotel. Very quite( located on small side street) and clean with very nice bathroom! Robin,(speaks excellent english... front desk) was wonderful and extremely helpful. You could not ask for better price to quality ratio. We will definately stay here again. Very near metro and food and coffee shops !

The rooms were small as to be expected in a city centre paris hotel. Despite this they were fully equipped and immaculate. We had a club room on the top floor as requested. This room had been recently decorated. It was exceptionally quiet. I really liked the location of the hotel. Only minutes from plenty of bars, restaurants and a tube. The nearest tube is vavin but I would recommend a 10 minute walk to montparnasse as it serves more lines. We walked around at night and always felt really safe as it was very busy. The hotel served breakfast which cost 13e. this proved very good for us as my other half is very fussy and liked to have his cornflakes in the morning! The b'fast was very good - a help yourself buffet with plenty of breads, pastries, hams, cereals and fruit. I would definately stay at this hotel again and wouldn't hesitate to book a room through the venere website.

A nice little hotel, perfectly located in the Montparnasse area. Cosy and comfortable. English speaking staff, very helpful. Delightful breakfastroom. A bit expensive considering the size of the room. Breakfast at 15 euro also a bit steap.

Just what we needed for a short stay in Paris. Very good room, excellent hotel location, reasonable price. Breakfast not included and was too expensive but you can have it in nearby cafes which is more amusing.

- Internet not available in a week - one day our rooms didn´t clean (we all day out of hotel) - A bathroom was perating bad all week, we asked assistance, recepcinist said that was alone..." put a basket in case water gos down to the floor..." - we wrote the breasfast order, never they respected anything, for ex.: artificial sugar instead of sugar, integral toasted, etc. We asked english tea, they never had it, only a tea with flowers (infusion), every day the same,....etc, etc, etc....A DISASTER!!!!!!!!!!!! We asked assistance, personnel answered: "...give 2 minutes" and never they came back...

Excellent location with subway station just 2 minutes walk away and the great non-touristy big street Montpanasse with many good restaurants right around it, extremely clean bath room, newly renovated room with very tasteful decoration(darker and cool in tone), lovely breakfast area. Rooms and beds are quite small, and one of the hotel reception guy could not point out where exactly his hotel is on the map.

I was really happy with my stay at the Villa Des Artistes. We were a group of nine mature art students and the hotel is in a great location as it is 30 mins walk to most of the museums or a short metro ride. The area has plenty of variety for cafes and restaurants. A good hotel for people who enjoy exploring the areas and like to walk

The location is perfect, close to key Metro stops and main streets that will lead you to all the gems of Paris. The staff was courteous and professional, the room was lovely. It is pricey though, and I feel that the breakfast should have been included. But that aside, I would highly recommend this hotel. And Paris.............exquisite!

We had a nice stay there, occupying a twin club and the room was really big - esp. for Paris! It faced the courtyard so no street noise but you could hear the people from the room above walking. The bed was not so comfortable, for one too soft, for the other too hard. Location is nice: The hotel is about 10 min walking from the RER stop (to the airport), 2 min from the metro, many shops and restaurants are close.

On arrival after booking with Venere we indicated that we would like a nice room as it was a special occasion (birthday) when we arrived at the hotel we were total that we had been given an upgrade to a triple room with more room. On checking the room this indeed was true, the only thing was the room was the attic room and yes there was more floor space, but the ceiling was very low... now I am only 5'4 and it was not much taller. In the bathroom there was a bath, the smallest bath that I have ever seen. We asked to be moved to another room and within a few minutes we were moved to a room at the back of the hotel. Hotel is in great location very close to the tube and bus links. Would stay again at the hotel.

The grumpy staff rather spoiled it for us. We were told off for moving the chairs in the bar. The kettle which was offered in the information brochure was relutantly lent - but with no tea bags - we had to beg to be given 2 from the breakfast buffet. The children's room (twin beds) was 10E more than we expected - this could have been stated on the phone before we arrived. A fungus stained shower spoiled an otherwise spotless room. Very good breakfast (not included) though, and the hotel is extremely well situated.

We traveled to Paris with a group of friends (three married couples in addition to ourselves) and all stayed at this hotel. We were very pleased with all aspects of the hotel. Our room was very comfortable, clean and quiet (we had a courtyard-facing room). The bathroom was spacious and everything worked well. The staff was very courteous and gave us good directions to restaurants, cafes, etc. The area has several cafes, restaurants, and metro stops within a short walk. We felt the hotel was a good value for the price and would not hesitate to stay here again.
