The hotel rooms are 'typical French' and very comfortable. It is well located and the staff were very helpful and all spoke English. There's no fridge / mini bar in the room but they provide ice in buckets if required. Ask for a room with a view of the Eiffel Tower as it was a nice little surprise. Plenty of good restaurants and a beautiful park are nearby. It has the world's smallest elevator (lift) in the older part of the building but this adds to the charm of the place.

Great location, clean room, it would be better if it had a proper double bed, and not two single beds put together, but it is a common problem in loads of hotels.

A very convenient hotel 200 metres from the nearest Metro station, with many cafes and restaurants handy. 20 metres from the Boulevard St. Michel and just a short walk from the River Seine and Ile de la Cite. Luxemburg Gardens close by. Hotel was notable for its cleanliness.

Great location but expensive. Noisy but we are used to that. Staff helpful. Room spacious, but would have appreciated a club chair at least to sit in. Also a shower curtain would be good but that is how it is in France. Continental breakfast not worth it at E12 extra, you can do better on the street. Overall a very nice place, very clean, we would stay there again any day.

Hotel was good, in general terms, but excellent regarding its location: just one block from the Luxemburg gardens, the Sorbonne, and in the middle of Saint Germain and Quartier Latin. The space in the room was really minimun: almost unbeliavable. The excellent location offset this big disadvantage.

The Hotel is good, rooms nad bathrooms are comfortable. However I have to say that the people are not so kind when you ask for some information. I would recommend to be more gently and kind.

Overall, not bad but far from excellent. The Internet service is expensive and didn't always work. The breakfast is overpriced. For 14 Euros it could have been much better. Employees (front desk) were OK.

Great hotel with lots of charater with friendly and helpful staff. Slightly pricey but this is due to good location of the hotel. Many restaurants/bars and shops within minutes of the hotel. Only negative thing is that it can be quite noisy during the nights. But would not let this put anyone off. Would recommend this and return here again.

The room had a charm about it. Decadent furniture, wallpaper a bit shabby. The bathroom was clean and tidy. It won't be the most spectacular hotel in Paris, but it offer a decent quality for the price you pay.

Relly good location, close to Notre Dame and shopping streets. Expensive brekfast not included (14 Euro). Very nice staff. Internet connection not included in the price 5 euros for 30 min, quite expensive. Over all, i would absoluty recomend this place. It´s located in a relly nice area in Paris.

I would return to this hotel. The front desk staff were outstanding. The room, while small, was clean and quiet. The bathroom was great and the shower pressure and hot water were outstanding. My only reservation is that Metro stations are not easily accessible, but walking was great and the staff were wonderful with bus directions.

Nice clean room, bathroom was quite large. Good location for visiting tourist sites. We were on the first floor facing the street, so there was some traffic noise but not bad for any city center. Did not eat breakfast in the hotel, there are plenty of options nearby that are more reasonable. We would stay here again.

Price/quality related to discounted rate at venere.com (104€). Real room rate was 160/190 and that would have been too much. We were at ground floor but in a wide and quite room.

Not familiar with European standards, but shower curtains would be nice. Water went all over the place. Really enjoyed balcony view over the street and the view of the dormitories across from us. The TV could have been better located instead of above the bed. Other than that, very nice room, quite except for the rowdy fans who were here for the Rugby World Cup. Within walking distance from St Michel and Notre Dame. Great restaurant called Patios across the street. Although Paris is pricey, not a bad place.

The room was much smaller then in the pictures of the web. There was 2 bed in a single room, with no facilities. No safe, no minibar, nothing. No English TV channel. The furnitures are old, looks terrible, and not functional.

We travelled to Paris and stayed over easter. The hotel is very well situated, in a short walking distance to the Quartier Latin, and ample restaurants and breakfast places in close vicinity. We were happy with the hotel. It featured a reasonable price, and small but comfortable rooms. Among the positive aspects were the tiled, clean bathroom, the lovely public areas, courteous english-speaking staff and great location. Among very few negative aspects was the lack of quietness. We could easily hear other guests conversation outside our door, and although we were happy for the 14 year old american girl who apparently went to "second base" one night, we were a bit uncomfortable with the lack of privacy. Also, we were at bit disturbed by the hotel's construction worker hammering away on metal from 7 o clock in the morning on good friday. Apart from these minor disturbances we couldn't have been more happy with the hotel considering price / quality. I would highly recommend it for young couples.

We stayed here while on our honeymoon and for New Year's Eve. It had a great view from the window and although we couldn't see the Eiffel Tower itself, at night we could see the spotlight from it. The bathroom was nice, clean and fairly large with a nice soaking tub. The bedroom was really well deocorated and there was enough room for us and our two big backpacks. The staff were very friendly and offered to keep our luggage on our check in day as we had arrived before the room was ready.

We stayed 4 nights. The price was quite reasonable for Paris. The pictures do not really represent the place. It was actually pretty nice. The staff was courteous, despite being very busy. A MUST is to request the top floor - the view is the entire Paris skyline! That was worth the price alone. The location was also pretty ideal as we were on a metro line and a major bus line. Downside, the room and bathroom were quite small. The ceiling is angled so you have to duck on one side of the room. As long as you watched your head and don’t mind a cramped bath, it is fine. The floors are creaky and the walls are thin, but that's expected since it is an older place (being on the top floor helped with the noise). Mostly what we heard was the plumbing from the next room. I would stay there again as long as I had a room on the top floor.

Bare, basic, aging hotel. Location to Lux gardens was only positive. The hotel's website offered a better rate (25% cheaper for a 3+night stay). Staff would not refund or adjust my reservation (or compensate in any way). Terrible soaps, terrible towels/linens, no internet plug in room. Room furniture and decor was old/shabby and not at all chic.

This was a fantastic hotel for a fantastic price in a fantastic area. The hotel room was spacious enough for three people and very clean as was the bathroom. The staff were friendly and very helpful despite us crawling in late at night! It's located only 5mins wlak from Notre dame and there's loads of cafes and little streets to explore. Metro station is not far down the road, so the whole of paris is at your feet!

We were extremely disappointed with this hotel - in particular with the service we experienced at the end of our stay. There is an advertisement in Reception for a taxi service to the Airport. My husband had a flight to Toulouse. We told the Receptionist that his flight departure was at 10.25am and she told us that a 9am pickup would give him enough time. The "taxi" arrived and it was a shuttle. Enough time had not been allowed and my husband missed his flight. He had to purchase another airline ticket at a cost of 60 Euro. I contacted the hotel and they were not interested. Also we had requested a wakeup call for 8am. Luckily we were awake, because the call did not come through. I told the same Receptionist and she said there must have been something wrong with the phone in our room because she had definitely programmed the wakeup call for us. I was back up in our room at 9am and the alarm went off - an hour later than we had asked for. I mentioned this to Reception when I checked out and she said that there must have been a problem with the phone in our room in that case. It seems that this hotel is not prepared to accept responsibility for anything. We were extremely disappointed and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Also the rooms were extremely small and dark and dingy. The shower curtain was too short, and the side of the bath was coming away. There was no clock in the room either.

The wall paper was hanging off the walls, the rooms was small, the TV did not work correctly, the lift was boken for at least 1 day, the bath panel had rotted away in the bathroom due to the shower curtain not reaching the bath, the walls were so thin I could hear everything the neighbour and everyone in the halls and the squeal of the broken lift, there wad no tea/coffee/phone in the room, the only thing correct was that it was clean and warm

We had a wonderful time and it is located very well for seeing Paris. This was our fourth trip to the city and we had a great time. THe breakfast we did not purchase (12 euro) but went down the street a bit for breakfast. Internet is available by means of purchasing time. A great place to stay. There is no parking, but if you arrive on Sunday, all parking is free on the streets. I moved the car at 0900 Monday to a very close parking garage which cost 23 euro per day.
