Hotel Reviews De Weha (Best Western)

Our late booking got us a great price deal for the standard of the room, especially for Paris. When we arrived about 8 am on the early train no desk clerk was on duty only a porter who was unaware of our reservation. He gallantly stored our bags and all was well when we arrived back 2 hours later. The room had an extra bed which we did not require and took up extra space.

Camera troppo piccola per il prezzo.

The beds, or rather the mattresses, were rather hard for our tastes. However, backs differ, so others might find it quite OK. As to the quietness of the rooms,it is not to blame the hotel fot its being situated in a kind of main street. Actually we didn't bother much about that.

The elevator is very small, only one person with luggage is capable of using at a time. The breakfast was very pricey for what they offered. The service was excellent and the room was clean and according to expectations. Very close to the metro and transports.

The locations is really good: close to the Metro and some Brasseries for breakfast. The rooms are clean and for Paris quiet.

My 10-year-old daughter and I stayed here for six nights in July, 2005. The room was very tastefully decorated, but it was tiny - barely any room to move or put suitcases. The bathroom was small, but beautiful; it even included a pull-out laundry line in the shower, which we used after hand-washing some clothes. Air conditioning was certainly a plus. The location left something to be desired. It was in an ethnic area away from the main attractions. However, the metro station was only a couple of minutes away, and we easily went where we needed to go. We got a fabulous rate via EuroCheapo.com (55 Euros), though I had to haggle with them at the desk not to charge me for my daughter, which would have been 20 Euros more. Fortunately, I had a print-out from the Internet stating that children 12 and under were free. For the price, it couldn't be beat. We did have one problem on departure. I asked the clerk to call for a taxi, but apparently, he never got through (the phone was always busy). We eventually went to a taxi stand, which, as it turns out, was only a couple of minutes away walking, but we missed our Eurostar train to London anyway, and therefore had to take the next one. Had they told me that the taxi stand was nearby, I would have done that to begin with and not missed our train. I probably would not come back to this hotel, not because it's not nice, but because the price has gone up significantly since I stayed there. At what it's currently priced, you can proably stay at a hotel closer into town for the same price and have the convenience of attractions nearby.

The place was small but clean and convenient there is a lovely market around the corner of the hotel.

Hotel located very close to Metro and numerous Restaurants, we found an Italian close by (20 metres on the right) very good on cost, food selection and very friendly. Rooms were quiet small but very clean, unfortunately there are no tea/coffee making facility in the room.

At our stay, the heat in the "dining room" was to high. We thought You maybe have some trouble with Your heating system. So we only had breakfast in the hotel the first morning.

Equipement de la chambre incomplète(absence de télévision à l'arrivée). Prise en compte trés tardive de cette anomalie par la réceptioniste due à sa trés longue absence de son poste. Chambre trés petite, très mal occultée et bruyante.

Tutto ok, stanza pulita, letto confortevole.

The hotel was well situated, about two short blocks from Place d'Italie Metro station. Secure, in that after hours we rang to be admitted (not that this was an issue for the area) The room size was small as I expected, but the bathroom was large with tub and shower. We faced the street, but the windows blocked street moise. The desk staff was helpful, we spoke no French, which made it challenging, but not impossible. Directly across the street is a bakery where it was possible to buy breakfast inexpensively as there is an additional charge for the hotel's breakfast. The hotel is in Chinatown, there were many good resturants in the area and its location near the Metro made travelling in Paris a breeze.

A good hotel, and good value for Paris. It's clean, in a safe and clean area near great restaurants and shopping. We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel de Weha. Be forewarned that their link with Best Western seems to be quite loose--I wasn't, for instance, able to use my Gold Points card to accumulate free stays because, apparently, I hadn't booked through Best Western--disappointing. A good hotel overall.

I found the booking service on the Venere Internet site worked well and was easy to use. We picked this hotel because we wanted to be near Chinatown but it is also very close to the Place d'Italie Metro for access to the rest of Paris. The hotel is small and has a very small lift to the various floors. Our room was small but clean and tidy and the air conditioning could be operated by remote control and we found it worked best when we switched from Auto to Manual. The ensuite bathroom was small but functional and the shower worked well. The staff were helpful, particularly one of the maids who went out of her way to be of assistance to us. We were given a street map and the staff were happy to answer any questions we had about getting around, places to see etc. Overall we were happy with the hotel and the service provided. This hotel is fine if your going to spend most of your time outside, otherwise you might find it a bit small. We would be happy to stay there again.

The location of the hotel is very good, close to the metro station. The room would be nice and friendly however the triple was extremely small which made the stay rather unconvenient. Also the lift was very small and as the hotel has no car parking, we had to park in the shopping center nearby. The buffet breakfast choice could be better in a 3star hotel.

We found an excellent rate on this hotel at the last minute. The location was good with the metro stop nearby and a huge shopping mall with garage one street away. Breakfast was a very good value and quite nice for continental. Easy access by car from the A4.

Great plqce to stay. I say a bit far from all the museums and tourist areas, but you can use the metro, which you should learn to use. The place was very clean!

Good price/quality relationship. Du to a water problem we had to move into the Best Western Aurore Hotel at our arrival. They should have informed us earlier by telephone instead of letting us arrive to the reception and move again to almost where we passed half an hour before. Feedback is therefore given for the Aurore Hotel. Hotel Aurore was clean and better located then De Weha. We were finally lucky to be moved to Aurore (at the hotel's cost). We had a good time at the hotel. The room was a bit small. There was hardly a place to store the suitcase.

Very nice hotel in an interesting location. Warm reception and good service. I had thought, mistakenly, that breakfast was included in the price, so I was dismayed when paying the bill that it hadn't been. I would definitely stay there again.
