Hotel Reviews Belloy Saint Germain (Best Western)

For me The Hotel Belloy Saint Germain was a place you can bring your mother to; actually I did.... It is located near all kinds of Paris classics e.g. Jardin du Luxembourgh and the Musee Moyen-Age, but also near the metro... best of all: Just across the street at number 3, you can find restaurant Bouillon Racine which has a really magnificent art-nouveau interior and a good kitchen. For those interested: There was Wifi for your personal laptop and a PC in the lobby and the airconditioning work good. And yes, it wasnýt the most quiet part of Paris, but we were right in the place were the city was happening - and it was all good! Good job people, you were part of an unforgettable stay in Paris for myself and my mother.

What i found most remarkable about this hotel was the location. You are half a block away from St.Michelle street, once you are there you are 5 blocks away from the Pantheon,Luxemburg gardens, and on the opposite direction you are 3-4 blocks away from St.Germain and Sena river. The hotel itself is good, but the most important thing for me was the location

Stayed in family room which was a suite of two interconnected double rooms with full facilities including Bathroom, Air Con. and TV in both rooms. A little noise from nearby rooms, otherwise great. Avoided breakfast as we got better value down the street.

We stayed in Paris for 3 nights. The reception employees were very helpful. No shower curtain, so the bathroom gets wet all over.

We stayed in a standard room. The room was on the 5th floor, and was not ready when we arrived around 4pm - it was still being cleaned. When we finally got into the room, the carpet was wet in areas where it had been washed. There was a smell, which when reported to the receptionist, was sprayed with some disinfectant. The smell disappeared when the carpet dried. The room was too small for twin beds, and had only one bedside lamp. When I enquired about changing rooms, I was told there was not another room available. The toilet and bathroom were in separate areas - very inconvenient. The bath had no drain stopper, and there was no shower curtain or screen, which meant that we had to sit down while taking a shower, otherwise the bathroom would have been flooded. We could not take a bath without a stopper. We are not young, so this was very uncomfortable. The paint on the bathroom ceiling was peeling, and the net curtain on the bedroom window was very dusty. During one complete night, we were unable to sleep as the air conditioner in the room kept crackling, even though it was turned off. The breakfast area is badly organised, people kept getting in each others way while at the self-service area. This hotel is in a superb area for visiting Paris, the reception staff are pleasant, but we would not stay there again.

This is a fine mid-size hotel in a great district. Just close enough to the sights, Metro, and cafes to be fun, just out-of-the-way enough for a quiet night's sleep. We were able to get two adjoining rooms for our family of 4 and thus had kind of a suite with 2 baths. For those who might have trouble with hot Paris nighttime weather in the summer, the in-room central A/C is a real plus. Whatever we needed the front desk had an answer. Very friendly. You will be asked to leave your room key as you venture out daily. Very easy to do. Room safes are good if you are stuck with a laptop like I was after the business part of my trip was completed. Try the Brasserie Boullion Racine right across the street for a pleasant dinner. Plenty of cafes a block away for a continental in the AM if you don't want to pay for the full buffet at the hotel. The Saint Michel Notre Dame Metro-RER station is a 3-5 minute walk downhill from the front door and you can get anywhere from there fast. We took a taxi in from Orly Sud for EU28, including charges for 4 roll-on bags, rather than pay EU35 to take the OrlyBus or RER. Singles or couples might do better on public transport, but at these prices what's a few more Euros compared to an exciting and colorful taxi trip? We will be returning to Paris someday and if we do not rent an apartment then we will be back at the Belloy St. Germain!

This is one well-run 3* hotel! Having stayed in several 3* hotels in the area, this one is superior to most: CLEAN, adequate size room, helpful and responsive staff, and great petit dejeuner. I found a good rate on the 'net which made my 2 week stay a good value. Great location in the area I like to stay in.

Over all I found the facility and reliability to bock rooms through VENERE fantastic and altough I have not graduated all ratings as excellent, considering my initial expectations and the service I received, all characteristicis were very close to excellent.

This hotel is very well located in the 'Latin Quarter'close to transport(Direct rail link to Chas. de Gaule airport and Stade De France,+ metro lines) major tourist sites and excellant range/quality restaurants, cafes etc.Nice ,safe area to walk through by day and night.Room and public areas freshly decorated and comfortable, room + ensuite rather small but adequate,on par for central Paris.

I missed a parking lot very much,as a visitor you are not aware of a public parking in the neighbourhood. Besides that the parking lot is very expensive, 20 euro's for one night. The price of the room is without breakfast. We thought it to be included. So the pric efor the hotel costed me 20+12 euro's more than I expected.

Great value for money, considering the location. Lovely reading room off the lobby. My room was nicely furnished, though rather small. Only complaint was that there is no ability to individually alter temperature in your room, so when it got too hot, I had to open the windows, which made it very noisy. With windows closed, very little outside noise was noticeable. However, it was incredibly loud at times as every time anyone opened or closed a door in the hallway, you could hear it in the room. Zero soundproofing in the interior of the hotel is my only real complaint.

This hotel was perfect! Reasonably priced, well located, good staff, lovely rooms. The superior double #507 was wonderful. Good sized bathroom, unlike so many Paris hotels. View of Notre Dame. Standard doubles were a bit small, but still an excellent value. We'll definitely stay here again!

The location is convenient and good. But I have to complain about the airconditioning that is leaking for the last two days of our stay. It completely soaked our pillow and the top half the bed. Also, the room is extremely smaller compared to other hotels we stayed during our 3 weeks Italy and Paris vacation. Overall, it is an OK place.
