The hotel is charming, very practical, located close to a subway hub. Little lounge very nice. Personal extremely helpfull. But the rooms are absolutly tiny. My overall impression is excelent and I will go back there on my regular trips. The price is high but this is summer, and not any different than that of hotels nearby.

Happy with the room. Location was superb! The room was clean and well maintained. Loved that I was on the top floor with a balcony and amazing views of Saint Germain. However, the lift broke down on the last two nights and it was very unpleasant to have to carry two large suitcases down 5 floors with no help from reception at all upon check-out. The staff were courteous but not terribly helpful in recommending or looking out for information.

Rooms were not air conditioned, so our street facing room was hot and stuffy. With four lanes of traffic directly outside, the noise meant that windows could not be left open overnight. This led to sleepless and uncomfortable nights. Nevertheless, service was good and staff very helpful. Avoid during the summer months.

For the price, you would expect a lot more in terms of the room (Spaciousness of rooms, matress quality, bathroom features). Overall the staff is really nice and helpfull, it's a great location but the price are far too high for what it is. I reckon the price for a room should be around 130 euros but definetely not 210 euros.

This is actually a very good hotel for the price. The rooms are a bit small but it is Paris. I did not like that I was on the sixth floor and that the elevator only went up to the fith. The breakfast is a rip off. It is not worth paying for. I usually pay for the breakfast at hotels for the convenience. But compared to other hotels, this breakfast leave a lot to be desired. It is like paying 12 bucks for coffee and bread. Other than that, the location is excellent. There are two metro stations closeby. The Saint Germain district is nearby. And there are plenty of shops. Overall, a good place to stay in Paris.

This is my favourite hotel in Paris. The location is excellent, and the staff are very pleasant. I particularly like the tea/coffee-making facilities in each room, which are normal in hotels in the UK but exceptional in continental Europe. On the negative side, my room was extremely small, and I think the price of breakfast (12€) is too high.

Good things about the hotel: (1) its location cannot be beat. It's very close to transportation (bus stops and metro stations); (2) the staff members are friendly and knowledgeable; (3) the mini bar that allows you to put your items in for cooling (not like the ones that automatically charge your room if you move the items) The downside: (1) the rooms are very small. I reserved a double room, even though I was the only occupant, and still found the room to be tight. It's not often you can sit on the throne, while rinsing out your hair in the shower and brushing your teeth in the wash basin, all at the same time without moving. (I exaggerate, but only slightly.); (2) the noise. If you open the window for fresh air, you cannot hear yourself think; (3) some of the fixtures are old and non functional. You could try the dials on the wall, but they won't work, since they are not hooked up to anything. I think these were left over from a remodel and were not removed since they might have to patch the holes in the walls. Overall, I do recommend the hotel. The pluses outweigh the minuses.

Enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Like most hotels in Paris, the room and bathroom were not the very spacious, infact the bathroom was tiny. However, more importantly room and bathroom were clean and well maintained. The staff was extremely helpful with directions, bookings to shows, etc. I will definitely stay here again.

I highly recommend this hote to anyone who wants to stay in this area if you don't need that luxury surroundings. The staff are very helpful no matter how tedious my question was. I brought my 2-year-old daughter with me. It was nice and clean. It is not big but enough for us. Includes AC and an elevator is a plus.

The most important fact for individuals that are budgeting is to be aware that you have to play €12 per person for breakfast each morning. We were just told that breakfast was served in the bar between 7 and 9AM. When you sat down, breakfast was brought to you without ordering, allowing you to think that it was included in the price of the room. The breakfast was satisfactory, but for 2 persons that is €24 per day, far more than we planned on spending for breakfast. The room are small, but liveable, however, the mattress is very hard and thin.

This was my first visit to Paris. We appreciated being able to get into our room early on the morning we arrived. The staff was very helpful, especially Francine and Estelle. They recommended cafes, retaurants, shops, walking excursions and tours, and made reservations for us when needed. They gave us important information on buses and the metro. Our dry cleaning was done in one day thanks to their help, and they mailed our postcards conveneintly. The hotel is located in a safe area close to sites by walking or bus or metro. We stayed 12 nights and would love to stay at this hotel again.

I guess the location of the hotel compensates for the quality of the room. The rooms are quite small even by European standards. But the location is quite convenient being near 2 Metro stations. The staff were helpful but when I asked one of the staff to get me a taxi for the airport. The taxi we were given was awful. The driver overcharged us and tried different ways to charge us even more. It was unfortunate, as that was our last experience in Paris.

La nostra camera era brutta e con parecchi difetti, maniglie delle porte svitate, piastrelle del bagno rotte, vasca consumata, lhotel si trova in una posizione strategica; due linee del metro e bus sotto casa, personale della reception gentile, colazione buona

Listening to a woman from Texas yapping all night is not our idea of a soundproof room... Nice bath, generally nice hotel and when they're finished working on the Metro station across the street, you'll get around even faster than us.

We were in a very tiny room (typically paris)with no daylight at all one window overlooking a fire escape. However staff were friendly, location great and rooms clean. Just would've liked a little more space to pass each other in the bedroom. Lots of restaurants and patisseries close by for breakfast etc.

Neat and clean hotel with small but functional rooms. I would like to get a room with windows looking out instead of inside the building though, especially when I make my reservation one month prior to my arrival.

The tall kind young woman at the front desk when we arrived, was a great help. She knew we wouldn't fit in the room we reserved and gave us a new room upgrade at no extra cost. Buy museum passes in advance to avoid the extremely long (Disneyesque)lines. Purchase transportation passes from Allo France to cover all your travels in and around Paris. Metro is next door and 4 busses stop in front of the Hotel. You can get everywhere quick from the Arimis.

This hotel is in a great location, a few minutes' walk from Boulevard St Germain. St Placide metro station is literally across the road. The receptionist is very friendly and helpful. Only complaint would be that the soundproofing is not very good - we were woken up by guests arriving home late, even though they were not particularly noisy, but as I've experienced this in many hotels I would not let it put me off. One odd thing to note - there was no shower curtain or screen so you had to be really careful or the water sprayed everywhere. I don't know if it was just our room (No 54), but there was no evidence that there ever had been one at any time. I forgot to mention it at reception. It wasn't a problem, after all your bathroom is cleaned for you after you go out every day. I would recommend this hotel as a good mid price option in a favourite location in Paris. P.S If you're looking for restaurants, I can't recommend Le Precope on Rue de l'Ancienne-Comédie highly enough, or L'Escarmouche on Rue Montaigne Ste Genevieve for divine pan-fried foie gras!
