Hotel Aida Marais Printania - Paris

I really enjoyed the ambiance of the surrounding area. The Republique area was fantastic. I had everything anyone could want. The transport options were brilliant. And the prices were reasonable. Overall a great visit and wonderful stay. I would come back time and time again.

I was placed in a room which was still being refurbished. The lights were not properly fixed to the walls. There was a drainpipe in the middle of the room - excellent if I wanted to practice being an exotic dancer. It was an insult to put me in this room. The only reason I did not complain was because I was tired, and only in Paris overnight and was out most of the evening.

The hotel is clean, comfortable and within 25-30 mins walk (often far less) of almost all of the main attractions in Paris. Rooms are smallish, but not excessively so, service is clear and friendly (good level of English and polite). Didn't try breakfast, so can't comment, but in general I'd say that in Paris it's best to go outside to cafes and try different brunches! Only downside was some construction work in building opposite, which tended to wake us up around 8am each day, but can't really blame hotel for that. All in all, we were happy - for about 50 euros each per night got a nice double room in an extremely convenient part of Paris, and everything was very smooth and convenient. Happy to recommend

Staff was very friendly and courteous.hotel was a gem in a very congested area . Street was noisy as it was between two main streets plenty of cafe's and restaurants was not near any of the main attractions only draw back.close main rail stations

Should I have known the room would be very small (less than 9 square metters) I would have chosen another hotel !

Perfectly positioned insofar as it was not in the middle of tourist area, yet not too far away from centre. It felt like the 'real' Paris.

I did not participate in the breakfest because it lookked poor - no sausage,no cheese - very boring.

Very good service at this hotel. We enjoyed our stay. For the price we had a nice room. A good location as it is walking distance from the North and East train stations. We heard quite a bit of noise from within the hotel, but the windows prevented any outside noise.

The hotel was clean and practical if slightly off the beaten track. It was however being refurbished with increase noise levels. The street was noisy in the morning. Staff standards were extremely variable good during the day and not so good at night. The fire alarm was activated twice during a four day stay and the staff competance in managing the process was very poor. No effort was made to ensure the hotel was evacuated and no effort to compare guest list with those making the effort to comply. This was a major fail in terms of health and safety

The price was excellent value; however we were allocated an interior room on the ground floor (window onto a roofed-in patio) and we were disturbed in the *very* early morning (?4am) by loud conversation in the lobby which continued for at least 30 minutes. Beds comfortable, but on rollers on a shiny floor which meant they moved as one turned over in bed. Breakfast (not included in the room price) was *excellent* value at 12 euros, and the breakfast room was very pleasant. Would return, but not to a room in that part of the hotel.
