The Best Western Bondeheimen Hotel was established in 1913 in Oslo and has since been a home to Norwegian travellers, Nobel literature laureates, artists as well as tourists from Europe and America.
The hotel is located only 100 metres from the parliament building and Karl Johans main street. Guests will find themselves in the most central part of Oslo, with all important museums, shops, restaurants and attractions, like the Royal Palace and Aker Brygge, within walking distance.
The reception is open 24 hours and the staff at the front desk have received the Best Western Quality award twice for excellent service and competence.

A pleasant stay,comfortable beds,a really comfy chair and footstool that I wish I had at home shame there wasn't 2 of them !It was very convenient to have the cafe situated inside the hotel.

we requested a smoking room and though the hotel is non-smoking, we were not aware until check-in. The room was small for the price. Location is perfect for the gay and straight crowd and that was appreciated. The breakfast was phenonmenal! The staff was very helpful and professional.

Location and signing of hotel very poor if approached from main shopping street. Entrance not in address given. Cold reception area, not very welcoming. Cafe poor and expensive in spite of discount offers to guests. Good location.

This hotel is terrific. The location is dead center of town, so easy to see sites or take public transportation. The breakfast that is included with the price of the room is delicious (local lox) and plentiful. The environment of the hotel is clean. The staff is friendly. The room is spacious. Norway is so expensive but this is the best deal in town! Also the airport bus drops off and picks up right outside the front door--this is a major plus in terms of convenience and should be highlighted more on their website.

A good very centrally placed hotel that was as described. The breakfast room was small and very congested in the morning, but the choice on offer was quite wide. This can be recommended as a medium class hotel right in the centre of Oslo.

The location of the hotel was excellent. Within walking distance of a lot of the main sites. Plenty of eating options in the area. We stayed here twice, the first time we had a larger room facing the street and the second time we were give a smaller room at the back which got hot in the afternoon. Breakfast was good, cereal, toast, hot food, yoghurt, cold meats and salads. Check in was efficient and we were generally pleased with our stay. Bit of a walk from the station.

How to reach Hotel Best Western Bondeheimen
By car
From Drammen continue along the E18 into the city but leave this road before the Oslo tunnel and follow the signs for Oslo Sentrum. Continue under the Concert Hall in Munkedamsveien and uphill until you reach Stortingsgata (National Theatre) and turn right. Continue and cross Universitetsgata, hold on until you reach the next intersection, which is Rosenkrantzgata, and turn left in front of the parliament building Stortinget. Continue and cross Karl Johans gate and hold on until next intersection, which is Kristian IV street. Here you turn right and you will be in front of the hotel's main entrance.
From Gardermoen or Gøteborg follow the signs for Oslo Sentrum (don't drive down in the tunnel under sea level). Continue straight through the city until you reach Stortingsgata and the parliament building. Turn right in the first intersection in front of the parliament and continue up Rosenkrantzgate. Continue and cross Karl Johans gate and hold on until the next intersection, which is Kristian IV street. Here you turn right and you will be in front of the hotel's main entrance.
By train
The Nationaltheatret railway station with the airport express train and Stortinget underground station, is located only a few hundred metres away.
By airplane
From Oslo Gardermoen airport you can proceed by the Flybussen airport bus, which stops right outside the main entrance of the hotel (both directions). It passes every 20 minutes.

The café has served traditional Norwegian food for more than a century in a modern and light style. It has 220 seats on two floors which allows to arrange lunch and dinner for groups up to 100 people.
The menu represents a good opportunity to try the authentic Norwegian cuisine, with bread and cakes baked each morning in the café kitchen.
A complimentary light supper, usually homemade soup with fresh bread and butter, is served in the lobby on weekdays.
