This was the first time I have stayed at a Best Western. My wife and I were very dissapointed with the level of service given at the hotel. We had problems with the cleaners; towels occasionally washed, some of our belongings thrown out, tea and coffee making facilities were taken away some mornings Also had problems with the other hotel staff; One receptionist was rude and very unwelcoming, the breakfast waiter shouted at me one morning because I was 5 mins early for breakfast. As for the room/hotel; the balcony view was facing a mud bank that was as high as the hotel, the air conditioning units were situated outside immediately below our room which were so loud they could be heard even when the door was closed, the "breakfast buffet" was very basic with no hot food served (not even toast!!!!!), there was no lunch or evening food served for the majority of our stay, no help given in terms of excursions or public transport, the rooms were furnished with obviousely cheep furniture. The area; there were very few buses from the hotel, taxis were unreasonably expensive(also considering the poor exchange rate), Olbia itself is an industrial town and doesn't much cater for tourists, there was no mention of this on your website

The hotel is really nice, and it is very important to have a car. Stuff is o.k, but they forgot to mention that 5 min from hotel is this beutiful beach Pytulongu, and we drove 1 hour to some other beach which was not nice at all. One important thing, never, absolutely never take room service. It costed us 50 eur for poor breakfast,and it says 5 eur per person, so it is a fraud!!! Breakfast is poor - only sweet things. Swimming pool is unusable, cuz of water temperature - probably arround 20C. Important - Olbia has no night life - only one street where one can go up and down till it gets bored. One good things are beaches and clear sea.

When I made a reservation of Best Western Alessandro Hotel i thought it is situated near the sea. In the description it is mentioned "just a few minutes from the sea".This few minutes to the beach are 1,5 kilometers on the road without walkway.In truth, It is situated in industrial area near the seaport, which is not suite for swimming.The hotel is good, only if you travel by car.

How to reach Best Western Alessandro Hotel

By car
From the North: travelling on the SS125 state road, follow the directions to Olbia. When you reach Olbia, proceed for 1 km/0.62 miles following the indications to Porto (harbour) and then Golfo Aranci, passing through the industrial area. At the roundabout, follow the directions to Golfo Aranci and then merge onto the SP82 local road. Then hotel will be on your left.

From the South: travelling on SS131 state road, take the first exit for Olbia and then follow the directions to E840/SS199. Merge onto the SS199 state road, following the indications to Golfo Aranci/Costa Smeralda. When you exit the underpass, turn right at the roundabout and then left, following the directions to Golfo Aranci. Go through the industrial area and then merge onto the SP82 local road. Then hotel will be on your left.

From the East: travelling on the SP82 local road, go straight following the indications to Pittulongu. Proceed for about 13 km/8 miles, the hotel will be on your right.
