Hotel Best Western Riviera - Nice

During the night rain started coming in from the roof and through the ceiling and hit the bed. But we were very quickly given another room in the middle of the night. The problem was solved for us.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The offer of daily lunch box was good idea as we were staying for a week's break. Room was quite small and decor rather dull. Great to have kettle and fridge provided. Breakfast choice quite good but always the same. Great location for access to trains, airport bus and trams.

Male receptionist during stay was excellent.Female receptionists not as friendly Bedroom on street side-quite dark and despite double-glazing/earplugs,the road/traffic noise was clearly audible.Breakfast of cheese, ham,yoghurt,jams,cereals,croissants,bread,(some fruit) but boiling your own eggs required making sure your egg was not taken by another guest!Chocolate croissants not available after 9.30?!Automatic coffee making machine, although efficient,never has the same quality of freshly brewed French coffee!Small reception(seating for maybe 8 max)area and pamphlets in English out of stock.With limited space available,staff kindly looked after luggage for a couple of hours on day of check.

This hotel is perfect for our short trip to Nice. Located only 3 minute walk from the train station. Staff on reception were welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable. We stayed in room 206 which was on the main road. Although the road was quite busy and noisy we didn't mind at all. Room was small but neat, clean and warm with plenty of space for our luggage, etc. Flat screen TV on wall and tea/coffee making facilities were clean. Bathroom was nice with a powerful shower and hot water. Breakfast was delicious with choice of ham, cheese, fresh fruit salad, yoghurts, cereals, croisants, pain au chocolate and boiled eggs. We also had a packed lunch everyday which was delicious. Hotel is 20 mins walk from the beach and 3 minutes walk from bars and restaurants near the train station. Would definately recommend this hotel for short stays.

AMAZING Customer Service. GREAT VALUE! Booked a simple Double room for me and my girl friend. The staff was amazing. Lunch Bags & Breakfast included everyday. You can't beat that. Staff was also helpful and gave us a map of the city and circled points of interest.

A good, decent hotel in a city that is rather overpriced. The rooms are not huge but were fine for what we needed. Fantastically helpful guy on reception - there was a minor issue of air conditioning noise annoying my partner and they switched us to another room without hesitation. Liked the extra touches of a welcome drink (note that this is juice or soda, not alcohol!) and a lunch pack (sandwich, chips, apple slices, bottle of water). No complaints and would recommend to fellow travellers or use again.

Ok, where do you start about describing this hotel. The staff and the service is fantastic. So very helpful and pleasant and go out of their way to help. This is a place that we found undersells and overdelivers. We were given lunch packs to take with us each day. We were very well catered for with breakfast for a 4:45am checkout. Just a real credit to the people there. Ok. The room was small. You have to expect that.

Our bedroom was very small, though bathroom was OK, perhaps because we opted for a special deal with breakfast, wifi, welcome drink and lunch box included in the price. Only 200 m from Nice Ville station so very convenient for an early train. Breakfast was quite adequate but with limited choice. Staff spoke good English and were most welcoming and helpful.

The hotel was convenient to the railway station in Nice. We found that the people on reception reception spoke english and were able to direct us to restaurants and other places to visit. We will return to Best Western on our next visit to Nice;

Great stay! We got nice room and although breakfast and wi- fi connection was not included in the price when we booked on Venere, we got upgraded and breakfast and Internet was offered free of charge! Very happy and helpful staff! We also got lunch boxes ! It was our second stay in the hotel and we will always come back! Marg

The staff has been very welcoming and warm to us. Each staff member is very knowledgeable and helpful, which greatly facilitated our day trips and excursions within the city. Best Western Riviera has also been very generous, offering free copious breakfast and packed lunch. On many occasions in the afternoon, the staff offered to serve us drinks. Their generosity was almost embarrassing. The hotel is very clean. I strongly recommen the hotel.

The room was small with little room to move around the furniture. It was convenient for the rail station (we were traveling by rail) and given the general level of costs for hotels in Nice it was reasonable.

we stayed two nights and we had constant hot water shortage staff was very helpful ..trying to explain and fix the problem..room small but managable to stay for two of us..

All in all, this is a nice hotel - especially at the off-season price. The size of the room was fine but a bit cramped. The bathroom was fairly large and had a deep bathtub with a shower attachment. The location is great if you're taking the train but the area is a bit run down and the hotel is about a half hour walk to the Promenade. The staff were friendly and helpful (e.g. obtaining ice for me when needed for my back - unrelated to the bed).

A nice basic room for travellers (standard double room with sea view). Show head wouldn't stay in position. Food for free breakfast was enough to fill us up to start the day. It was our honeymoon and my wife loved the view.

I spent only one night at Hotel Best Western Riviera, but I could appreciate overall the location, very close to the railway main station (I travelled by train) and the friendly attitude of the staff. Very comfortable the bathroom and the shower, easy to handle.

Bella!!! Ma è incredibile che in una città così ricca di turisti gli impiegati (giovani!) della stazione ferroviaria comprendano poco l'inglese, e comunque forniscano informazioni sommarie sui treni!!! In hotel invece tutti molto disponibili...ma nessun tentivo di parlare italiano. Quindi armarsi di buona pazienza se non si conosce l'inglese.... Ottimo il rapporto qualità/prezzo per le strutture organizzate in spiaggia, molto comode e ben tenute.
