The hotel is perfectly located a few steps away from Times Square. The room is cozy, quiet & comfortable and the staff were fairly friendly. There even was a coffee maker in the room. I only had two issues with the hotel: 1. The rooms didn't have a fridge / mini bar or even water bottles. 2. The bigger issue is that the cleanliness of the rooms was not up to the expected standards. While the bed was very clean, the carpet & the bathroom did not appear to be cleaned every day. It wasn't unbearable but it was noticeable. Overall, I had a pretty positive experience and would consider the hotel again.

Nasty, everything was nasty and dusty. Don't stay there. The pillows and blankets had hair, the bed cover had holes and were yellow instead of white. The shower was nasty with hair everywhere included walls.

Dear Team, I stayed in that hotel with my grandmother and it was nice. Thatswhy I booked it for the trip of my parents again. And it was nothing of that. At first they didn't help with any problmes - just gave a phone number and my mum is the only one who can speak a little bit englishMy parents had at first a broken toilet. Then tehy stayed 6 days - in these days there were a cleaning lady one time ... they just emptied the trash and did the beds - no clean bathroom ... the my parents where there when the hurrican were there. They need to stay 6 more nights. The hotel was still unfriendly and charged even a higher rate than the earlier nights. My parents need to print the new tickets for the flight and they didn't even help them. In that time the cleaing ladies couldn't reach the hotel - that is okay but still my parents cleaned their room 12 days on their own. Nobody on the reception where helpful with any problem !!! Fot a 4 star hotel such a bad service !!!!!

I don't recommend. Staffs were rude and looked unhappy. A woman at the front desk didn't gave me 3cents (change). It is SO small amount but I didn't like it and said "It is very small but weird. Why you didn't give me that 3cents?" Then she looked so angry! (Unbelievable) I didn't like their interior sense either. Big pictures of presidents (?) were on the wall of small room, and even the desk light was a statue of a president ( or someone!) It was like I was watched by three people and I couldn't fell I could rest. So I didn't stay long in the room…just went back to sleep. It is located in very busy place. In the middle of everything. So even at the 14th floor, it was noisy until late at night. Not good for people who needs good rest.

1. An agreement by E_mail to leave the whole transaction on my credit Card and allow the third person (who would arrive before me) to the room without beeing bothered by asking for her credit Card was apparently not shared with the one at that time at the Desk 2. The WiFi internet connection was very bad and unstable in our room. Something should be done about that. Otherwise we had a pleasant stay. Arnold

The staff was not very welcoming, and the room was not ready at check in! The service was bad, and they where not very helpful. The room was realy dirty, and the cleaning was terrible! The one thing that saves this hotel, is location!

We stayed in Manhattan for one week. The location was the best part of the hotel and we made sure we did not stay in the room very much. The room was not ready when we checked in after check-in time. We had constant trouble with our air conditioner, the toilet was always backing up, we never got the towels we needed without constantly asking, and sometimes they would fold up our dirty towels and put them up as clean. It was very noisy on 6th floor that was facing the street. The location was the positive side of the whole trip, but there are plenty of other hotels we would recommend more.

Location EXCELLENT. Very convenient walk to most locations (theatre, Times Square, Hell's Kitchen, Penn sta, Shopping) However...you get what you pay for. The price was great the hotel VERY disappointing. I would NEVER book a room here again. Can hear doors shutting (slamming)all day and night. Phones did not work, air conditioning either freezing or off (all knobs did not work), bulbs were burned out in 2 of the 3 lamps and 4 in the ceiling. Shower sprayed water all over the floor, sink had no drain cover, needed to call for additional towels and wash clothes each day (stayed 5 nights), one day room not cleaned ...needed to call front desk at 9PM...then go down to front desk at 9:45PM), breakfast expensive and lacking taste, unfriendly front desk, strange set up in lobby (bar then check in desk then restaurant), maid carts and workman's carts constantly in hall, hot elevators, no seperate employee elevators, charge to store luggage on last day after check out at noon,.

The only good thing about this hotel, is the location. Our room was above Saigon 48 and smelled like the kitchen. The bathrub was peeling, dirty and mold on walls and ceiling. We got a great price for the location, but that was it.

This was my and my family's first trip to NYC and this was the perfect hotel for us! I liked the proximity to Time Square, I am glad it is not exactly on 7th Avenue, at night the crowds are actually quite alarming. I was thinking are they waiting for something to happen, because people just stand around. The hotel is 2 blocks down from a Subway Station, I thought this was great because you walk for hours in NYC so if we got to far from "home" we could hop on a train and be home quickly. The bed was comfortable but the room gets so HOOOOT! It was 40 degrees outside and we had the AC on and the window open. That was my only complaint. Other than that, the staff was so nice, they made us feel at home...I can't wait to go back.

Only troubling thing was the heavy construction that began operating outside my window at 7:00am on a Holiday morning! Very disturbing.

I've stayed at the Best Western President on a few occasions and I find it excellent for the budget concious traveller. The location of the hotel is excellent if you want to be near the tourist-y Time Square but the area itself can be poor for restaurants and eating out generally being mostly chains of eateries or being ridiculously overpriced. The rooms at the hotel are clean with fresh towels every day. Because of the location, it's best to ask for a room on one of the higher floors so the noise of the traffic isn't too intrusive.

I stayed at the hotel for a couple of nights in March 2008. While I realised from reading other reviews that the hotel was a cheap option, I wasn't prepared for the tiny room! I realise that all New York hotel rooms are small but this was not what I had expected. Also, the heat in the hotel was turned up so high that even the air conditioner turned to the coolest setting all night & day in our room didn't help - I was very dehydrated by the time I returned home. The hotel guest guide also said that the hotel had recently been refurbished but the room we were in was old & tired looking. It was reasonably clean though - apart from the long black hair attached to the disposable cups! The location of the hotel is excellent, so for the price you pay, I guess it was a good choice. We also visited one of the Japanese restaurants right next door to the hotel & that meal & service could not be faulted. I would probably stay there again just because of the handy location.

Great location, just one block from Times square, six blocks from Port Authority, 2 blocks from the nearest subway station. As we arrived they gave us the smallest double room in the hotel, a dirty noisy room on the back side of the building. After my sudden claim we obtained a better room located on the main side, clean but noisy too. The WiFi connection works only in the lobby, the breakfast isn't special and costs about 10 dollars pp. After all a good deal if you use the hotel just to spend the night.

The hotel is very well located in the theater district. We had minor some problems during our stay: room very small, air conditioning system very noisy, credit card not accepted for breakfast. But the biggest problem was that they blocked my credit card for an amount much larger than the balance due, so I had throubles during the following days.

This hotel is in one of the best locations in new york - right next to time sq. It is value for money in comparison but dont forget to add TAX!!! If you are looking for a decent sized room or staff who at least lift their head to look at you then this is not the hotel for you. Prime location - poor service.

This was a fantastic hotel to stay in. THe location couldn't be better, right on Broadway, beside the theatres and the buzz of Time Square. There's a subway station located just around the corner and the routes that serve this hotel link you to the major sights to see. The rooms were clean and spacious and there's a fabulous vietnamese restaurant adjacent to the hotel. All in all, well worth the money.

This hotel charge will be able to be said that value to the location is larger than the hotel value. It is minimum of the room and the equipment of the hotel as the hotel where it stays in two married couples. It might be about 100 dollars a night stay if this hotel is not in Manhattan even if it is high. The sound of TV is extremely small. The bed is too soft. The temperature of the hot water of the shower is low. There is no refrigerator. There is a clean feeling.
