Best Western Hôtel de la Bourse - Mulhouse

I have arrived quite late, noone was at the reception at the time, but when the porter arrived he was very friendly and helpful. The design of the hotel (old-style, old-looking furniture) is not really my style, but I have had that everywhere in France, so that's probably what counts nice here. The way English spoken is also a bit challenging, that's expectable in France, and we sorted out everything without a problem.

Our train arrived into Mulhouse station at about 9.30 in the evening. It was sheeting down with rain so it was a great relief to find the hotel quickly, about a four/five minute jog along the pavements, with just a glance at our internet map before we legged it. I was delighted that my o'level French wasn't essential as the chap on the desk spoke very good English and my booking through Venere popped up in an instant. Our ensuite room with TV was beautifully clean and the beds comfortable with a view out onto a park. No frills but perfectly adequate as a base. A good position, quiet, and we found the concierge helpful for directions,maps and such.

Brand new rooms ; underqualified staff at the reception

The shower knob was in the middle of the wall. Very strange. But, I like the hotel. It's in a great location. The room was large. And, quiet. It was a good room for the price. The staff? They were ok, but they were not happy when I came home at 4AM, even though I told them I would be coming home at 4 in the morning. I would stay here again if the price was right. Le douche est quelle étrange. La pomme de douche en plein milieu du mur ! Mais, j’aime bien l’hôtel !! C’est un bon endroit. La chambre a eu grand. Et aussi, calme. C’est un bon prix pour l’argent. Les employées ? C’est ok mais ils ne vont aimes pas quand j’ai arrive a 4 :00, mais j’ai dit quand j’ai parti « j’arriverai a 4 cette matin ! » Je resterai ici si le prix est correct encore.
