Best Western Downtown is a well located hotel in Montreal. You find at hand good and excellent restaurants. It is very close to the downtown commercial area. Bus and metro stops were very close. Taxi service at the hotel is very good. My wife and me were to Montreal to a Rotary Club convention. Ma, the places in which most of the events were presented were close to the hotel. In short, our stay at Best Western and Montreal was an enjoyable experience. We recommend the hotel to everybody who go to Montreal, a wonderful city.

Had a room on the 2nd floor but was not able to use the stairs to get up or down. Elevator was "old" type and would have liked the stairs better.

Overall a good hotel for the position and general service, but the fact that windows cannot be opened even in summer, and that air can be changed only via the air conditioner, is somehow a pity. Some drawbacks: during my stay, the Oasis cafe was under reconstruction: however, no advice of this had been given months ago when reserving (and to me, the chance to have breakfat on site had been one of the reasons for choosing that hotel). There is another cafe restaurant on site, Chez Cora, which however does not provide continental "french style" breakfast, but only English style breakfast: I would have expected that they did, given tht the Oasis was closed. Also, my reservation (according to Venere) included breakfast, but this did not result in their records (possibly due to the closure of Oasis cafe? dont know). They also had mistakenly debited one night in June instead of July, but recognised their error when I told them and credited my card for that amount (although this double operation always results in a loss for the customer due to currency rate changes). In one word: a good hotel, but bring with you all the details of your reservations and be ready to show them your prints if something looks different or not precise.

The service was very good with daily service. You have to pay for daily parking though. The location is terrific, right off St. Catherine's street, which is a very happening place. Also, there is a lot to see nearby: Old Montreal, the underground mall, Mont Royal. Don't forget to visit some of the restaurants around Rue St. Laurent and Rue Rachel (Pied de Cochon, Khyber pass), great variety and quality cuisine

Salle du petit déjeuner trop petite. Petit déjeuner pauvre. A mentionner : restaurant Chez Cora attenant à l'hôtel. A recommander.
