What excellent, friendly and helpful staff! It was the most pleasant hotel stay I have ever experienced - well-equipped and arranged room, close to the metro, the central station, free internet facilities and the most divine restaurant with incredible food and service, recommended by the staff.

Dec 2011 - We were visiting Paris for the first time. We found this hotel extremely charming, clean, and easily accessibile. It is SO EASY to get to CDG airport from here and also access the Metro. I would definitely recommend staying here again. We stayed on the 3rd floor in a room with a balcony - it was farily sound proof (not a lot of street noise for the area) and also provided a good rest, nice light-blocking curtains. The area is very lively with a wide variety of restaurants on the charming streets nearby in a very historic location. What a wonderful experience! We'd defnitely go back and will recommend to our friends. Great lobby!

This is our second visit to this hotel. We always find the staff at this hotel very friendly and helpful. They always have a smile and a solution. The rooms and public areas are always clean and well presented. Breakfast has a good variety. The only complaint is that the walls are thin and you can hear people on the other side. Lucky they were not too noisy. We will come back to this hotel and I recommend it to anyone staying in Milan.

A very comfortable hotel in a very convenient area,8 minutes on foot from Central Train Station and 4 minutes from metro lines that lead you in 3 stops to Duomo. Good buffet breakfast though it can be enriched. My single room was beautiful but not spacious. expensive for a single room, but it seems lodging in Milan is quite expensive.

Perfect location although best to catch a taxi from central station, too far to walk with luggage, even for fit travelers. Breakfast was fantastic as should be expected in Milan. The rooms were clean and the AC was a welcome relief from the heat. Overall i am looking forward to coming back and staying here again. Big value for money.

The room was very clean and well kept. The bed was comfy. The bathroom was a bit small but probably normal by Italian hotels' standard. The room's window faced an inner courtyard, so there was no street noise. But the room door was not thick enough to protect against noise from the corridor (eg if people talk loudly while walking past - fortunately, nobody did that when I was sleeping....) The breakfast selection was good - the coffee was decent too (self-service, from a very versatile coffee machine). A potential "flaw" is the surroundings. It is certainly not bad or unsafe: just a normal neighbourhood (ie not particularly exciting). Some tram stops are just around the corner. But the metro stops (plus the main train station) are about 10 min walk way (via not very exciting, but safe streets) - so, OK for some people, not so for others. But of course the upside is that it is generally not noisy around the hotel, definitely a plus in a big city. All in all, it's a nice hotel. For EUR90 a night, it's a pretty decent deal.

Excellent hotel and service, rooms facing the courtyard are very quiet. They are small but nicely appointed. Excellent breakfast buffet. Good location on a quiet street about 10 minutes walk from the front of the train station - in a nicer neighborhood than on the other sides of the station. About 5 minutes walk from metro. It was not a bargain but I would stay there again. Great location, service and quality of rooms and breakfast.

If you follow directions to walk from the main Milan railway station start walking from the front of the station! We only got a little waylaid but it was annoying after a 24 hr flt and the long bus ride in from the airport. It was not far to walk to the Duomo (about 20 mins). The staff advised us on how to use the metro which we did - down to the Canal area of Milan which was designed by Leonardo da Vinci - don't bother. Plenty of restaurants near the hotel and a little fruit shop in the same street. Breakfast was good - one of the better ones out of all the hotels we stayed in in Italy.

Hotel facilities and room very well appointed. We asked for quiet room and had one on the inside of the building and it was perfect. We had a safe, tea making facilities, an iron, great bathroom, TV, the breakfast was great, internet was free in the lobby, staff very helpful. The hotel was a 10 min walk from the central train station. We took a taxi when we arrived by train with our bags for 6 euro, but walked when we took a day trip to Lake Como. When leaving for the airport we took taxi to station and the airport express bus from there which leaves every 20 mins. The hotel is about 25 min walk to Duomo but we took different routes through parks, along 'designer store' streets etc to vary the route. We used the metro a couple of times which had a station a few mins from hotel. We found good restaurants very close to the hotel in the evening, also a fruit shop and sushi bar! We were there during fashion week and heard that room rates could double so felt the value was very good at 130 euros during the week and 100 euros at the weekend.

We stayed ehre for two nights. We had a room on the 2nd floor, in the corner, which was quite a bit bigger than the other rooms. The bathroom was big! Only complaint was that the room was a bit noisy. We could hear our neighbour's tv and we could hear every chair sliding over the marble floor in the breakfast room, which was below us but still with the 1st floor inbetween. Couldn't imagine how this would be on the room on the 1st floor..

Very nice hotel in the central parts of Milan. Close to the central station, although a 20 minutes walk to the real center, including il Duomo. Metro stations within 5 minutes walk though. Very nice and helpfull staff, who easily fixed all my questions. Internet service was no problem, although 5 euro/hour (10 euro/three hours) might seem a bit too much if you ask me. Two computer with internet for free in the lobby though. Nice room, good breakfast (very nice to sit on the covered terrace). Bar closing a bit early maybe, at 11pm. Rooms not very well covered, as I could hear everything from the next room. The guest there had the tv on, on a low volume, and it was like it was my tv that was on.

They could just offer us a smoking dobbleroom when we came. Vi did not ordered smoking room. It's not many people in Europe today that want smokingroom, nonsmoking is for granted if you don't ask for smoking specially. They could after some annoyed request give us a nonsmoking room the day after. The first room was very little/cramped, the other room was very nice.

The hotel is located in a good position (just 15 min.walk from the railway station and 10 min. from the metro stop). The road Felice Casati is quite calm and teh building is completely renovated. It would be useful to have more closet to put t-shirts or pullovers. Breakfats was good and abundant.

The staff was very friendly and helpful when answering our questions about sites, maps, etc. It is a little bit of a walk to the metro, but the neighborhood isn't too bad, and it seems relativly safe. Since on the web page it is written that a room is equipped with not only shower but also bath tub, I picked up this hotel. However, just on my arrival, they said that only 2 or 3 rooms are with bath tub and most are only with shower, which is contrary to what is mentioned. They did not even try to put me into the room of my request. It seemed that they do not have much hospitality to their guests. This is the strongest feeling which I had during all my stay. I won't stay here again.

We visited Milan for a 4 day trip and to take in an AC Milan game. Myself, wife and 2 boys (aged 13 &17) found the hotel to be ideal for our stay. The staff were all friendly and very helpful and recommended an excellent restaurant, the Mediterriano for our evening meals. Breakfast in the hotel had quite an array of fare and it passed inspection by 2 fussy teenagers. The nearest Metro station was 10 minutes away, and 3 stops from the Duomo (city centre). The tv's in the bedrooms had enough to keep the kids happy and they made great use of the free internet access in the foyer (at least 4 terminals). If we ever return to Milan the Hotel Casati would definitely be on our list. If you want a hotel that is clean, quiet, friendly and fairly central this should fit the bill.

We stayed at the hotel only for one night. The room was small but very clean. The location is good and close to the train station. The only complain I have is the staff's attitude. The front desk was not as helpful as I expected from Best Western. The location indicated on Vernere is incorrect. We spent over an hour trying to find the hotel. Overall, I like my experience there. We stayed here for 3 nights for a city trip. It was an ideal combination for a cheap airline (RyanAir), landing in Orio Al Serio in Bergamo, than taking the bus shuttle service from that airport to Milan Central Station (1h bus) and then going on foot from the Central Station to the hotel (about 15 to 20 minutes). It's a quiet and save neighborhood. We always walked through the park towards the Milan Center around the Piazza Duomo. We never needed to take the underground, but we like to walk. The hotel was perfect. Perfect room, perfect breakfast. An excellent price for an excellent stay ! TOP OF THE BILL !

This hotel was fine. We were only there one night as we needed to move on from Milan. I would stay in a different area of Milan next time as we were not too convenient to the sites. Milan is a pretty ugly city unless you are right down in the high rent district by the Duomo. We had trouble finding the hotel as the directions were not clear. I had asked for specific directions and even those I received via email were incorrect. We had to stop and figure out how to use the Italian pay phone system to get directions after wandering around for 30 minutes with our luggage. Be sure you ask for very specific instructions wherever you go especially if you are walking. We found the lack of using landmarks in giving directions very frustrating. Instead the person usually gave the distance in meters which was a) hard for us Americans to figure out how far that was, and b) usually incorrect anyway. There was a dearth of restaurants in the area, but we found a nice Osteria nearby. The room was quite small, but that was typical of our stay. Breakfast spread was great. Front desk reasonably helpful, but a bit surly.

I can't rate this hotel high enough. Compared to some of the other 3 star hotels I stayed at throughout Italy this was a palace! The staff are amazing - so friendly, helpful and can speak english very well. The hotel is located within a short walking distance to the train station & just around the corner from the main shopping strip. The room & bathroom are huge and the beds very comfortable. There are 5 or 6 computers with free internet access. Breakfast is included in the rate so it makes this hotel a great price.

Hotel Casati is very convenient for shopping, metro and tram access. Our room was quiet and well furnished, with a lovely bathroom and well-stocked mini-bar/fridge (pay for what you use). The hotel has no restaurant, just a breakfast room, and the hotel bar is not always staffed, though there are other bars and restaurants close by. Breakfast consisted of fruit juices, cereals, bread, croissants, boiled eggs, ham, cheese. Reception staff very friendly and helpful with advice on travel, where to eat etc. This hotel offers exceptional value for money with the Venere rate, and we would definitely stay here again.

We have good luck with Best Western hotels in Europe, so we think this is good value for a relatively low price. They were willing to store luggage for us for two days while we made a side trip. Many of the staff were a little cold and institutional, but the rooms were good and the location was convenient to the train and metro. They offer free internet, but it either doesn't work or is so slow that you should walk to an internet cafe.

This is quite the best value for money hotel we have visited in any major European City. We had much luggage including skis and should really have taken a taxi rather than walked from the Central Railway Station. We were made very welcome: the room was without fault and the breakfast better than average. Our flight out of Milan was not until the evening but the hotel looked after our baggage in a special room so that we could see the city. There were at least four internet stations available for free use by guests which we much appreciated. We had asked for a quiet room and our room overlooked a courtyard so there was no noise. We will definitely return.

The hotel Casati is a great place to stay to connect to the internet. There is free internet access in the hotel loby, and the connection speed in the hotel room was a consistent 52.6 kbps. The hotel is in staggering distance of tiger lily, which is a great place to have a white russian ( which is a cocktail of vodka, coffee liquere and cream called Natasha who I met in a very nice resteruant with her mum, hope you liked the necklace). Otherwise the hotel is bland and uninteresting a bit like Milan.

The Felice Casati is a Best Western owned hotel, which is not mentioned here, FYI. (And caused me to walk by it on the first pass) ;) I had a small single room with a very firm (just the way I like it) double bed and balcony overlooking a quiet side street. Very clean with a decent bathroom. The lobby is nice with plenty of seats for lounging. There are FOUR free computers connected to the internet there, more than mentioned here. The staff was uniformly pleasant and helpful. Almost all spoke English, except for one nice gentleman who worked nights. We communicated fine and amicably with gestures and my horrible Italian. I did not have their breakfast, so I cannot comment on it, but they did have a ubiquitous espresso machine at their bar. I had caffe and cornetti at the great bar diagonally across the street from the hotel. Fantastic macchiatti; some of the best I had in Italy. Franco the baristo does a great Kieth Richards impression. The hotel is an easy 10 minute walk southeast of the Stazione Centrale, and a 15 minute stroll away from the Duomo. It is one block north and three blocks west of major streets, so noise is not an issue.

Hotel billed me initially for double the agreed rate. I stayed 2 nights and they wanted to consider the total for the 2 nights as the rate per night. It was not easy to have them correct this "mistake" even though I had copy of the reservation with the correct rate on it.

Pulito, confortevole, colazione ottima, personale gentile. 15 minuti a piedi dalla stazione centrale,5 per raggiungere la metro di P.ta Venezia o P.za Repubblica(linea gialla. Il rapporto qualita prezzo e`imbattibile. Clean, comfortable, great continental breakfast, helpful & kind staff.By foot it`s 15 minutes from the central railstation and 5 minutes from the metro station, red and yellow line. The relationship between price/quality is really high, you can`t beat it.

We were surprised on arrival to find that the hotel was in fact a best western something that wasnt promoted on the web page. Our room was clean and the facilities offered were above expectations. Would definately stay there again.
