the hotel is indicated as 4 star hotel, however, the room facility looks very poor. Also, the air-conditioning in the room was defect, the room was very hot and no ventilation! The man in reception is very helpful and friendly. However other crew in the hotel looks pooly trained. For example, we were waiting for the lift to take luggage from parking to the room, however, the guy working in the hotel just locked the lift even that he knews we were waiting for the lift! I had to go to the reception to sort the issue out...

I wouldn't recommend this hotel. The area is not very nice and felt unsafe late at night. The first room we were in had no air conditioning and no tv remote working and was small and poorly furnished. They changed us to an upgraded one that was larger and better appearing, but the air conditioning was hardly working. The hotel needs updating badly: in the corridors the paint was peeling.

1. The hotel is not very easy to find from the train station even with a GPS... 2. The breakfast is very good 3. When I left the hotel I forgot to take a bag which is a new sport jacket I just bought from San Siro stadium...And one day after I called back they told me they didn't find it. Obviously some employee of the hotel found it when cleaning, and he/she took it.

Location is not great for that price - always have to change trains if you want to go to the centre(Duomo for instance), you can use a single tram though, but its quite slow. Surrounding are full of criminals as the whole Milan/Italy.

we paid only 92€ for 2nights, in a double room.the hotel is excellent, but far from the centre (no problem with the underground, but a big problem during a strike!!). The surroundings aren't safe, we didn't go out at night...so if you're looking for some fun at night in the city centre, this is not your hotel.

We travelled to Milan for only 2 days, to attend a concert. For longer periods (but some extra money) I would choose a more central hotel. That is why, even I rated this hotel high, I wouldn't return here. Too much time was wasted on going downtown and return. If you have to do the trip to the centre twice a day (like we did, as we had to come to the hotel and get ready for the concert, or to bring some shopping before returning to the Dome for dinner) almost 2 hours are wasted (by metro, bus or taxi equally). If you are there for shopping, there is some point when you have to return to the hotel to leave the bags. If you plan on leaving in the morning and return after dinner, the location of the hotel ceases to be such a problem. There was a problem in one of the afternoons we spent there. Being thirsty, I wanted some beer. The vending machine doesn't sell beer, the bar was closed and the minibar empty! (Probably they gave up the minibar because they have vending machines on each floor, with water, soft drinks, snacks, razors, hand sanitizer gel and other products as such).

Excellent breakfast and quieteness. An iced reception showed us that the reception staff was not interested in giving information or being helpful. Despite the hotel surroundings seems not very safe, we didn't have any trouble. And the location is near subway and bus stations. We stayed just for a night and it was ok.

Hotel is good value for money. It is a 10 minute walk to the metro, but that is the only disadvantage as I see it. previous comments on this site of the area being unsafe were not apparant on my visit. As with all cities a certain amount of awareness is required, but at midnight both myself and my girlfriend felt the streets were fine. The breakfast is average quality, but can be improved if you get the food as it comes out fresh. Other than that the special rate makes it an obvious choice for a weekend getaway.

I must say that I was positively surprised by the quality of service offered by the Milton Hotel, especially after reading some of the previous reviews. For starters, the surrounding area is not beautiful but not even that bad - nearby there's also a big and convenient supermarket (Esselunga, V.le Jenner). As to the hotel, stuff were friendly and our room was spacious and clean. Breakfast was excellent, with lots of choice (only drawback, the not so good coffee from an automatic machine). A big plus for me was free wi-fi internet all over the property. Certainly the hotel would benefit from some renovation but all in all it was good value for money, especially for a notoriously expensive city like Milan.

A little too far away from everything in Milan. You need to have a car to reach the centre or else a good pair of legs to walk to the Metro station, aprox 1 mile away from the hotel. Bad surroundings..look like being in Marrakesh then in Milan, but we had no problem in our staying. The hotel seems to be a juwel in the mud :D

One night, one room wasnot cleaned, and charged nor changed linens, although they charged the same high price for "Salone"! I said, but they didn't do anything. Also when we arrived, the person in the reception was not really friendly to answer, I needed to know for the breakfast and other some information, phoned up to ask, but actually he said "we are busy!". I don't recommend this hotel.

You directions from the station to the hotel were incorrect. So we had to walk a while in the dark and cold seeking for the hotel.

We were very disappointed in this hotel. 1)The air conditioner did not work and we found the room unbearably hot. 2)There was a light outside our room which shone in to the room all night. This,in combination with the oppressive heat meant that we did not sleep at all. 3)The dining room did not really cater for evening meals. The evening menu selection was poor, the food was substandard and poorly presented. Breakfast was somewhat better. 4)I requested an iron to be brought to the room but was unable to us it as the plug did not fit the power point. Despite room service saying that they would bring an adaptor, they did not do so. We would not recommend this hotel.

The hotel was hard to find and the area it is in is awful. My boyfriend and I were happy to pay for secured parking as we are sure the car would not have been there in the morning if left on the street! The greeting at reception was ok however the service at the bar was extremely poor. The bar man could not have been more rude and obviously reluctant to serve us. Overall, I would not recommend this as a place to stay if you wish to enjoy your experience in Milan. Find somewhere in a better neighbourhood with staff who are more welcoming of tourists.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! This was the worst Hotel I stayed at in Italy. It was in a terrible spot in the city, where I did not feel safe at all at night. The room was 70 Euro and was big and spacious. But it was far from clean, with moths flying around everywhere, and the bathtub was a disaster. The breakfast was even worse, it tasted awful and I felt sick for days after that. I never went back to try anything the second day, ate at a nearby cafe.

We decided to finish our Italian adventure in Milan. We had heard that Milan is not a beautiful city and that was accurate, but we did enjoy our stay and it is a gateway to Lake Como. Public transportation is good in Milan. One pass purchased at a local tabacchi shop will get you on the tram, bus, or metro.

We had a special price of 90€ per night per doubleroom, which was a real good price for the standard offered. Everything was clean. There was even a German tv programme (RTL) which rescued our Formula 1 weekend. The public area is furnished mainly with IKEA furniture which I found quite surprising. Nevertheless it looked very stylish. In the near surrounding we found a very nice restaurant where we got a day special for 10€ inkl. pizza, drink, dessert and coffee.

The room was noisy due to unspecified noise coming from air condition or sth. like that. We weren't able to find it out. The map description to the hotel was quite poor as we came with metro and didn't know which way to walk. I have expected a better description with more detailed information on the map including metro (which line and stop station lancetti, continuing with the way how to walk)On the first view we feel a little bit lost. The area where the hotel is located is not nice. We missed bars and cafes. There is nothing for going out in the evening. The receptionist spoke bad English, he couldn't explain the way. What he said was only: On the left you will arrive in 5 or 6 minutes. And that's all. What a pity for a 4 star hotel!

Location of this hotel is not very convenient for those without a car. It takes about 15min of swift walking to get to subway station (yellow line), or 5min to bus stop (didn't try it). Hotel has underground garage for about 20 cars. The first turn would be somewhat tricky for car over 5m of lenght though. Garage doesnt have lift, so remember to unload your luggage before you drive inside. There was notice in the hotel lift that the hotel was undergoing renovation, and they apologize for any inconvenience. Personally I experienced no inconvenience, and they hotel was almost perfect. Spacious room with bathtub/shower was nicely furnished and comfortable. Breakfast was awesome. Best I had on my 2 weeks trip around Italy. Staff is helpful, and speak quite good english. The only drawback is the surrounding area. It is some kind of immigrants "ghetto". At night I saw several black guys on nearby street obviusly smuggling some white powder. I wouldn't call the area pleasant to look at nor very clean, but doesn't seem to be unsafe. I can highly recommend this hotel.

But a point to note is that, the transport provided by the Hotel to the MICAM FAIR on the second day(return trip),the transport never turn up,and we have waited for more than one hour, call was make to the hotel, but no one have made arrangement to pick the guess, and some has to walk back,(because after 7.30pm we can not get taxi at the fair.) My point is even the transport is free for the guess in the Hotel, the hotel should made other arrangement to pick up tose people at the fair, when we call and tell them that the transport never turn up.
