A perfect base from which to explore Venice if you are travelling by car as it has guest parking and is directly opposite the railway station. The train trip to Venice takes about 10 minutes and costs only a couple of euro. Our room was superb - spacious, clean and comfortable, furnished and equipped to a very high standard. The standard of food and service in the restaurant is excellent.

Ideal spot for a short stay before flying out. Easy access to Venice without the hassles of carting luggage through the city itself. Easy access to Airport shuttle bus but remember that particular services may turn out to be provided in conjunction with a suburban bus route with stops along the way. Staff very good and well used to providing held luggage for either early arrivals or late departures. Breakfast very good. For once in Italy they knew how to make tea!

Directly opposite station so very handy. Clean modern rooms, nice lobby - bit of construction going on at back of hotel. Internet wifi was a problem -front desk assured us was working but was intermittant & other guests having trouble too. Breakfast very pleasant & tasty. Had dinner in hotel restaurant which offered a 2 course menu which, despite ordering wine & a salad as well they would not allow us to share as we were not that hungry! They were quite rude about it even though we could have just had a drink & not eaten at all & the restauant was less than 50% occupied! Overall, much quieter than Venice, 10 min by bus from city & well priced including breakfast." (Great tip for shoppers - forget souveniry packed Venice & take train from Mestre 20 mins to Padova for shopping heaven. Sophisticated boutiques, great choice & cool city with no crowds!)

Modern, well decorated, spacious room with spacious closet good bathroom. Staff was very helpful. This is an excellent value and cost effective way to see Venice. The train station is directly across from the hotel and there are frequent inexpensive ( 1 euro) trains into the city ( to Santa Lucia station)--- the trip takes 6-8 minutes. The quality of the room would probably cost at least twice if not three times more if in Venice. Only downside is trains back in the evening become less frequent as it gets late, and do not run after midnight. Buses to and from Marco Polo just down the street cost 5 euro. take 20 minutes.

My friend and I stayed one night after returning by train from Rome and before our flight back to the U.S. The hotel location right across the street from the train station, room comfort and cleanliness, excellent restaurant and breakfast, staff helpfulness - all made this hotel one of the most comfortable of our trip. My only complaint is the computers in the lobby - very small and hard to use.

This hotel is perfect if you do not want to stay on the island of Venice. Those in the know do not want to lug their own baggage on the island after doing it once. The hotel is only about 10 minutes from Venice by train and 15 minutes from the airport by bus. We boarded a local bus for 2 euros each at the airport which dropped us off at the train station which is directly across the street from the hotel. Later, we took the train into Venice for sightseeing. The next day, the conceirge ordered a taxi for us which took us directly to the dock where our cruise ship was, never once having to carry our own bags.

Although the hotel was undergoing refurbishment the hotel maintained generally a high standard. The restuarant was closed due to refurbishment but we had checked with their website prior to leaving and they had stated this. The hotel staff were very efficient and generally helpful. The hotel is very convenient for transport into and out of venice and to the airport. It is opposite the station and just down the road from the Flybus to the airport. Mestre itself is not that attractive but we did not expect it to be.

I got a single room for E140 on a day's notice. I checked the website and feel somewhat misled on the room quality compared to pictures on the website. The room was so small, I was very disappointed with the tiny room and the furnishings. Perhaps I should not compare value for euro for Venice to other areas in Italy. There was also quite a bit of street noise, but not at night. Proximity to the train station and shuttle to the airport was great and the reason I chose this hotel.

Great Hotel, next to the Station. Tickets to Venice by trian cost 1 euro and you can buy them from the reception. Trains to Venice every 5-10 minutes and it journey takes around 15 min! Gret spot to stay and visit Venice even for just a weekend. Breakfast Buffet was also great and plenty of food!!! This hotel is great value for money in comparison to the 1* BBs in the city that are very basic and they probably cost MORE!!!!!

I really can recommend this hotel for short and medium trips to venice, mainly because of the location of the hotel right across the street from the railway station from where it takes a 10 minute ride to Piazza Roma in Venice. Rooms are quite nice and the breakfast included also very rich. Just don't forget to bring a pullover for breakfast. Parking for EUR 8,-/day on the backside of the hotel is also good value. Also the price of venere.com was about EUR 50 less than at two other booking-sites I found that hotel on.

This hotel was a find, if you are willing to stay outside of Venice. For one euro you can take the 15 minute train into the city, which allows you to avoid hauling your luggage through the cobblestone streets of Venice. The hotel was perfect...You avoid the crowds, have an excellent, modern, clean, and classy hotel, with breakfast for a great price. Would definitely stay again.

This hotel is immediately outside the Mestre railway station and, as such, is very convenient. The staff all speak English and were helpful. However, we were given bad advice about reserving a taxi for a 4:30AM departure and lost sleep because when we returned in the evening all of the taxi reservations were filled (no trouble getting a non-reserve taxi the next morning, however). The room condition was not to the 4-star rating and the breakfast definitely was not up to it.

We were arriving into Vencie Marco Polo Airport after midnight, and so decided to stay at the Bologna & Stazione which is about ten minutes away from the airport by Taxi. The bedroom and bathroom were very spacious. We only stayed one night and travelled into Venice by Train and Vaporetto the next morning which took about forty five minutes, however, if you did not want to stay in Venice itself and travel in each day, the hotel would be a good option, as it is just across the road from the train station and is a lot cheaper than the hotels rooms in Vencie itself.
