Best Western Atlantis Hotel - Melbourne

The room that we have stayed is not very quite. We had to hear the AC machine always. The staffs we found is not so friendly.

I stayed there for three nights with a special offer of price, almost at the backpacker level. it was really a good deal. The room and location was excellent. 3 min. walk to the Skybus (airport shuttle) station and Coles supermarket is just in front of the hotel. Docklands, where has many restaurants, and other major shopping sites in and around the city are also within walking distance. One of the two lifts was under repair. It may take a couple of minutes more than usual to go up to and down from your room. The guidance about the Internet connection was outdated. They only have wireless. The instruction in TV and the hotel guidance file seem wrong. The pricing for the Internet reasonably varies. I bought 3 day pack by $19.50. I wonder if this information was on Venere site. Also, in the second day afternoon, there was an old lady who seemed to be a hotel staff, knocked on my door, but she did not answer when I asked who. The room door does not have the checking hole, which was inconvenient. When I opened the door, the lady was already almost leaving there and said something to me as went away. That was a bit weird experience. I want the hotel staff to talk something when they knock the door. In sum, my stay was OK with the reasonable price.

We were very pleased with the service at Reception as well as an excellent breakfast was available at a reasonable cost. The room was large and clean. However it was very difficult to control the Heat/AC. Also a ceiling light was burned out/and new battery required for the weigh scale. Overall a great BW which is very central to the CBD.

Had my wife and 5mth daughter and was ideal. Room was spacious enough for travel cot and had couch too. Clean and well presented. Location is excellent - just opposite Southern Cross station which is where Skybus to/from airport operates from and gives access to all main train lines. Also next to city circle tram stop to reach all destinations. Can walk to Eithad Station and Docklands for meals if desired. Will definitely stay there again.
