I find this hotel from tripadvice.com, Hotel Atlantico is the first choice of Madrid from this website. I can say if you try to stay here, you will understand why this is the 1 st choice from 475 hotels in Madrid, really a perfect hotel.Actually, I only stayed in a single room for 2 nights, my room only have a internal window without any view, but I still enjoyed to stay here because of their reasonable price, perfect location and helpful staffs. It's really a fantastic hotel in Europe. :)

This hotel is a 5 star quality experience. The personnel are caring, knowledgeable about the services offered by the hotel and car services etc,. plus there recommendations for restaurants and stores is very extraordinary. I would return without hesitation and would recommend this wonderfully warm and comfortable hotel to anyone. Mil gracias.

The location was really convenient, only a few steps away from the plaza mayor and could easily find a place for breakfast since it wasn't included by the hotel. The room itself was really spacious and quiet, only downside was that we weren't able to use the wireless in our room due to some problem and the tv didn't have that many english channels. But we would highly recommend this hotel for its price and location, especially if it's the first time you travel to Madrid

Located on the bustling Gran Via, I was very impressed with the Hotel Atlantico. All of the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, from the moment we checked in, until the moment we needed a taxi to get us to the airport. The location was good in that we were very close to many restaurants, shops, sightseeing stops, and close to public transportation. The room was relatively spacious and clean. There is in-room wireless internet, but you must pay for it. Same goes for the breakfast buffet at the hotel. There were not many options for breakfast, but it was alright for the money. I was disappointed that there was no fitness center, however. The next time I am in Madrid, I would look into booking here as it was a good value for the money.

Tornerei.

I stayed 4 nights from 12th to 15th in room 210. I came back 1 nght from 25th to 26 th in room 206. I paid the same (120€ per night) The room 210 was more spacious. Why??? Nevertheless, I spent a good time in Atlantico Hotel. Close to all the main sites in Madri, Very beautiful hôtel. Recommended to all.

An oasis to the hot summer weather in July 2008. Superbly located in the center of the city walking distance to all the major areas of Madrid. Although this has nothing to do with the hotel....Be careful of the pickpockets when in the city and the metros!!!

We stayed in a triple room which was not very spacious but ok. The acoustic windows protect from the outside noise, but not completly. Yet we considered the hotel localization just perfect. Our neighbors gave us the impression that the walls were too thin. Me, my husband and 12 years old son were very pleased with the front desk staff. Mrs Ruth, specially, gave us the type of treatment which a family, during Christmas, realy needs. All the staff was very nice and efficient. I am sure that this aspect, in particular, will make us consider going back and indicate the Hotel Atlántico to our friends.

This was the first time we stayed in this hotel. The quality vs. price is excellent. In Italy (and in most European cities) for such a price you an hardly find a hotel. Our room was very large (room #802). I will only make an observation about the quietness of the room. There is no soundproofing at all!! For some nights we had noisy neighbours and also the waterpipes of the bathrooms were very noisy. Some days there were no neighbours and we slept very well. In conclusion we were satisfied with this hotel and will certainly return.

As expected for a single room, it was small, but very nice. Employees helpful when I lost my key to my luggage lock and cut the lock off for me. Even though I was on the Gran Via, my room was quiet.

The hotel shuttle was at the airport for us. The check-in was easy. The entire staff was gracious and helpful, from giving directions to booking tours. Our 3-bed room featured two balconies which overlooked the vibrant Grand Via, yet, it was quiet and restful at night. The room was immaculate and the bathroom was modern and spotless. The ninth floor offers several lounge areas, both indoor and outside, with lovely views, as well as a bar. We did not try the buffet breakfast as there were many quick coffee places nearby. Exellent location, close to metro stops, quick walks to Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, Plaza D'Espana and the Royal Palace. Short metro rides to Retiro Park and Prado. We would stay there again in a minute and highly recommend Hotel Atlantico.

Rooms (at least on 6th floor) were newly decorated and of a very high standard with very smart bathrooms and flat screen TV. Reception staff friendly and helpful. Location on Gran Via is very good, noise is not much of a problem with the windows closed. But there was some noise from adjacent rooms. Breakfast -was a chaotic experience and they ran out of many things including bread. Suggest avoiding and going instead to one of many nearby cafes. Also, free shuttle from airport only goes at certain times, so unless you arrive at the right time you will end up having to take a taxi as we did.

What a fantastic hotel, such a warm welcome from Ruth and the men on the desk. We stayed in Madrid 3 nights, a wonderful experience. Room had a safe, slippers robes etc, our beds were turned down at night with little chocs on pillow, very welcoming after a long days shopping. I was sick on the saturday asked at reception for a doctor and I had a doctor in my door 25 minutes later, he was fantastic. I have stayed in hotels all over the world and this was by far the most welcoming, friendly hotel I have ever experience. The bar on the 9th floor is so peaceful and relaxing. A MUST if staying in Madrid.. Book it !!

As you can see from my ratings, the Hotel Best Western Atlantico provided outstanding accommodation and service throughout my three days in Madrid. In particular the staff were welcoming and supportive, the decor was delightful, the breakfast was great value and the location was central. This hotel far exceeds its three star rating. I had the unfortunate experience of having my handbag stolen on my first night - the response from the staff was extremely considerate and helpful.

The hotel has a great location. Accessible to everything and safe. We were given an updgraded double room......2 twin beds put together, though we requested 1 king/queen bed. The floor had a stale smell, but the room was good. The receptionist told us that this was a new floor and all new rooms. Not sure how the older floors would have smelt. Overall clean and good stay, though if not upgraded, I am not sure how our stay would have been. The hotel staff was hit miss.

Only spent one night here in October but we were very impressed. Staff at the front desk and at the bar are very professional and friendly. Our room was very well appointed, extremely clean with a large bathroom and a good queen bed. There's lots of amenities; slippers, bathrobes, good quality bathroom soap and shampoos. The room was very prettily decorated. We face Gran Via and there was a block out shutter for the large window. Great view straight up and down Gran Via which is a non-stop 24 hour party street! Didn't have breakfast. The 9th floor lounge bar and terrace is terrific and a good place to relax and have a drink. It's open from around 3pm through to (I think) midnight. Hotel Atlantico is really well located, just near Callao Metro station and close to theatres, parks, shopping, the lot! The hotel provides a shuttle to the airport for only 6 Euros a person - truly a bargain compared to a taxi. You need to book at reception the day before your departure. I'd stay at the Atlantico again and would recommend it. All in all a terrific hotel at a reasonable price in a great location!

A fantastic hotel in the center of Madrid with lovely spacious rooms. We had 1 room at the front (Gran Via, a very busy street)and 1 at the back side. Although the Gran Via Road is an extremely busy road you don't hear the noise in the rooms. People at the reception desk are all very helpful (and also speaking English). The breakfast buffet seems to be a bit expensive but going out in the morning to find a cheap place to have a breakfast isn't worth the hassle. One of the stops of the Madrid Vision-bus is about 50 metres from the hotel and so is the underground. All so very convenient. The Atlantico is an hotel we can easily recommend to others.

The standard hotel prices mightnot be so attractive as I asctually paid throuf the Venere reservation. In fact the price I paid is really good considering the type of hotel and services offered (competence of employees, excellent breakfast buffet and breakfast room. Location of the hotel is more than good (central); the only negative point is that GranVia cannot be the most quiet of the avenues in Madrid. In case of another trip to Madrid, Best Western Hotel Atlantico will be my first choice for hotel reservation

Best western is a great hotel, it exceeded our expectations in fact of quality, gifts found in the room, spaciousness, and position in the very center of Madrid. The hotel is excellent and the location is perfect. The services and attention could be better. The shuttle service airport-hotel-airport realy doesn't work. I waited for more than 1 hour when I arrived in Madrid and when I called the hotel I discovered that it doesn't pass in the airport between 1pm and 4pm!!! The Best Western hotel Atlantico is a lovely hotel in a very central area of Madrid. Rooms are nice and clean, very elegant and nicely decorated. The hotel is on the very busy Gran Via, but I couldn't hear a single noise from my bedroom. The staff is kind and helpful. It is a cheap choice if you are looking for a nice and central location (nearest tube station: Callao). I haven't tried breakfast, which was not included in the room price and it costs 9 euros. I would return to this hotel.

This hotel far exceeded our expectations! From the friendly staff at check-in to the absolutely wonderful newly-refurbished room on the 7th floor we could not have been more pleased. The room had the spaciousness, decor and amenities one would expect from a 5-star hotel. Not all rooms have been refurbished, so ask for one that has been. The location is between 2 close-by subway stations and handy for shopping. The location is a little short on good restaurants, but Starbucks and coffee shops are available. We also saw the location as a safe one at night for two women travelling alone as long as there were still many other people out on the streets as well. Lobby area short on space for lounging, but the solicitous staff more than made up for that, so we rate this hotel the best value for money spent during a 5-city Spain vacation.

The hotel is really nice, in the center of Madrid, you can go anywhere by foot. The only problem I found, is that some tiemes the noise of the street was inside my room. On our last evening there we decided to have something eat in our hotel, our meal was only satisfactory, infact the waiter said that evening meals would finish completely. I guess that was because very few people availed of the service. In relation the location it was perfect. Street noise ie police vechiles were annoying but I guess that was because it was a festival week December 6th - 9th. If I was to visit Madrid again yes I would stay at Hotel Atlantico welcome & service was very good.

The hotel is well located at the center of Madrid, served with 2 metro lines. The staff was friendly. The room was clean and had all amenities necessary for a confort stay. Request a room at the back of the hotel, not facing the street, bcs Gran Via is a busy area even at night.

An ideal location for visiting the sites of Madrid. The nearest Metro stop is Callao on the Green 5 line, when you get up to the Gran Via street, head East on the North side and the hotel is less than 100m away. The Metro was easy enough to use, cheap (1 Euro) and quick, just keep alert and watch out for pickpockets bumping into you or covering their hands with coats. We had a very nice room which was at the back so was a little quieter. A small amount of noise could be heard from neighbours, but nothing too bad. The location was perfect for us, we were able to walk to Retiro Park, the Royal Palace, the Art Museum, and lots of restaurants, and of course, it's very close to the Metro if you need to go further. My Spanish was generally understood by the staff, and the receptionists seemed to speak good English. The only negative was that there was no answer from room service when we called, but may have been temporary. The only meal we had in the hotel was on the first night, and is served in the Cafeteria. The menu is limited and some items weren't available, but the food was good and the wine was very nice and a good price. Across the road and around that block are lots of places to eat, to cater for all tastes.

The hotel is extremely well located on the Gran Via, reasonably close to museums, the royal palace, Puerto del Sol, Plaza Mayor, shopping, and metro. It was well run and clean, and relative to other hotels in Spain, the 8 euro per person breakfast was ample and varied and fresh, with scrambled and fried eggs, meat and cheese, fresh melon and fruit, pastries and breads, juice and coffee. Our room was large and comfortable and spotless (with two double -- not twin -- beds put together), with a minibar and a desk to write on, and the bathroom had a spacious and powerful shower, a bidet and a window for fresh air. The furnishings were modern but not chic, and beds were turned down nightly with chocolates. Free WiFi Internet service was only available in the lounge next to the breakfast room (not a major inconvenience); in the room Internet required plugging in and was not free, so we didn't use it. The price through Venere was 135 euros, a great buy, even without breakfast. The service at the hotel was competent (if not terribly cheerful), but that seemed to be the pattern in Madrid. Still, overall, we highly recommend the Atlantico; it mostly held to luxury hotel standards without the cost.

we were very happy with our stay at Hotel Atlantico, it is in the heart of madrid with great people watching right out the windows! We had 6 people divided into 3 rooms and they were very accomidating (1 with double bed and the other 2 with 2-twin beds) Each room had its own character. We asked advise for dinner reservations and were given a fantastic suggestion. Very helpful and the price was very reasonable. We never ate breakfast at the hotel because there were so many places within a block.

Tuvimos la suerte de pillar la mejor habitación del hotel: espaciosa, cómoda, limpia, con A/A y vistas a Gran Vía. No se puede pedir más...

We booked all of our hotels for out 2 week honeymoon in Spain through venere.com and was very pleased to find that what we expected was what we got. Hotel Atlantico was no exception. It was the priceiest hotel we stayed at but the nicest. Our room was huge and very comfortable. We didn't have a balcony room, but it was nice and quiet. We did opt to eat the 8 euro breakfast and it was worth it.

Atlantico placed us (with teenage son, daughter) in a room facing the main street. View fair. Reception area amazing, marble, sculptures, art. Room largest on trip, bathroom all marble, clean, with everything you could want if you forget your personal items. Across street was department store with a complete market downstairs. Deli food was great, large selection of wines, liquors, beer. Came in handy. Meto stop closeby, also short walk to museums. Safe in evening for adult female to walk around. Theatre area. Venere quote was far less than what hotel produced in bill. Luckily I had copy of quote and hotel met the venere quote. Actually, hotel was worth much more.

Excellent hotel in every way. The quality of the service is outstanding and much better than many 5-star hotels. The staff is friendly and always eager to help and aid the guest. The hotel is perfectly located in the center of town and it is just as unique on the outside as it is on the inside. I was very satisfied with the Hotel Atlantico.

The only complain is that the room were I stay has a poor outside illumination, since the window is on a very dark patio.
