i stayed in Madrid for 4 nights. The hotel location was absolutely briliant. U could not ask for a better location. Food in hotel was good, but slightly overpriced for Madrid. There were quite a few nice restaurants just 5-7minute walk from the hotel. The only one downfall of the rooms was that it was quite dark and the windows werent sound proof. in the mornings it was a little bit too noisy. after all i have enjoyed my stay in hotel and i would go back because the location was superb.

i traveled for five weeks and this was the worst place i stayed at. the staff was so rude and not helpful. Noisy area due to being right on the Gran Via. not recommeded.

This is a great hotel! It is in an amazing location (right near a Metro stop that is easily accessible from the airport). The hotel staff wasn't overly friendly, but wasn't rude. They were helpful and they also provide a shuttle to the airport (which is very convient for those early morning flights). Overall, a great bargain for a clean, neat hotel in a great location!

We have been a group of 6 persons in 3 twin rooms. We had a good experience with the hotel. It is situated right in the middle of Madrid (underground station: Gran Via) and all relevent sights, shopping areas, night clubs, bars, gay area is within walking distance. As breakfast is not included and highly expensive, we would recommend taking advantage of all the little coffee shops and bars for your start into the day.

Location is outstanding for reaching almost everything without bus or metro (that are excellent anyway). Hotel very good. Recommended.

The hotel was a great deception. The room was too much small and had a smell of fungus. There was no heating system in the room stayed. The employers were not accessible and it was difficult to get help in the hotel. The card system to open the door was not working in my arrival and when I said to the receptionist the problem, he was trying to learn me about how to use the card and made me go upstairs and try too more times before send a person to make the system work. The same occurred with the safety box, tha was not working. By the same price (about 70 euros) you can find a much better hotel located near Sol and enjoy your trip in a better location. There were many prostitutes near the hotel, including during the day.

Excel hotel. Only problem: the carpark, announced in the list of the services, is public and paying. The hotel is well located at the center of Madrid. Thank you for your site.

Best highlight of this hotel, it's location. It's conveniently located near major attractions, and restaurants. The room was very clean, modern and confortable. The only thing that we found a bit uncomfortable was the elevators because they were very small, but other than that a good hotel and a great city to visit.

Breakfast is very expensive. It can be taken at half of the price in restaurants close to the hotel. Lack of TV in public areas(We went there during the football world cup)

We stayed in May a few days in Madrid and chose the Arosa because of it' s good location. It is directly at the Gran Via, in the heart of the city. Although we had a room to the main street, it was really quiet because of double windows. The hotel is rated with 4 stars, but that is absolutely exaggerated. It was cleaned every day, but you had some dirty points at the wall, and we supposed that it was mildew. The employees were not very nice, there was one woman that never smiled during our whole stay. At least they spoke some english, but they were not really helpful or friendly. We didn't try the breakfast because it was quite expensive, but there are other possibilities in the area. The price is okay if you consider the location of the hotel. At least the rooms were spacious enough. The bathroom is quite nice. You have an extra door that separates the shower from the toilet, and there was a bidet too. They had a mini bar and air condition. Altogether i would say that it is okay to stay there but there must be better hotels for the same price.

Excellent central location with the Gran Via metro station literally a few metres away. Good base for sightseeing and shopping. Be aware that the other side of the Gran Via is plagued by 'ladies' plying their wares ... they can be quite insistent!

This hotel was an excellent value in the winter time. The staff and the room exceeding my expectations based on the price. If you want to be right in the middle of everything Madrid has to offer it is an excellent choice.

This hotel lists ADSL connection among available room facilities and this was the main reason I had booked to stay. However on arrival I was told the hotel only offers one wireless hotspot in a public area. When i informed the reception staff that I could not take the room, they were extremely rude and even denied that the information on the website was incorrect! To make things even worse they even charged my credit card for one night (I have contacted my bank to dispute the charge). My advice is to steer clear of this hotel if customer service and good manners are important to you!

The free transportation to and from the airport was not provided. I was told it was not in the computer. Breakfast at 13 Euros was a bit high. Location was excellent.

We had a great deal of trouble finding the hotel. The map did not tell us that the street would be closed and that we would have to use a public parking lot and walk to the hotel. Since Madrid is not an easy city to drive in,a tip in this respect would have prevented stress at the beginning of our trip.

An excellent choice, we liked the location, and loved the room - large for a European room, and very tastefully done. And the price was right. Madrid is not our favorite Spanish city but next time we're there we will definitely want to stay here.

the room could have been furnished more comfortably ie. with a little arm chair or two and a small table so one could have a little rest in the quietness of the room after comming back into the hotel. There was no means of sitting down in the room.

This is an outstanding choice. The hotel is probably worth four stars, compare to four star hotels where we've stayed, but at one third the price. The location is excellent within walking distance of most major sites. There are no negatives, except an overpriced breakfast. This can be remedied by eating at Zahara's around the corner. An excellent buy, I recommend it unconditionally.

Hotel was good, but hotel rate quoted was higher than what other people who stayed in the hotel, at the same time, paid. Apart from that, we had a very pleasant stay.

Nothing special about the hotel, but it was a good deal for the price. The common areas were nicer than the rooms. Good bathrooms. Drinks at the bar were very expensive, avoid them. But the airport shutle service was very convenient.

Good position in centre of Madrid, staff good, some rooms can have noise from street, but otherwise good value for money, except breakfast was average and therefore expensive as it was not included in price of room. We will return to this hotel when visit Madrid again.
