Hotel Best Western Saphir Lyon - Lyon

This was a one of best hotels I stayed at during my 3 weeks in France. It was somewhat out of center but with great transportation, was able to get around easily. Staff were very friendly & extremely helpful. Really enjoyed my stay here.

Stop for one day/night very convenient. We booked through Venere, special offer (75 eur) which was good value. Friendly staff. Close to old city centre (1 stop by tube for 1.60 eur). Breakfast seems quite expensive (12 eur p.p.) so we had breakfast in a very nice old patisserie downtown near cathedral. Garage in basement for 10 eur. Recommendable hotel, we will come back.

Room small(no sitting area)but clean. Surroundings poor but near metro. Breakfast good.

A really good choice to stay in Lyon. It's very close to the metro D "Gorge de loup", therefore convenient to get to the city centre. The bed is so confortable though the room size is a bit small.

Very nice hotel to stay - the employees were very friendly. The hotel is situated is very close to the old part of Lyon and was perfect for my requirements.

To travel into the city centre & all over, by Metro or Bus, buy a tourist ticket from Tourist information office.We only ate in the hotel once but the service was excellent.The food was as good as any where,although the menu was rather limited

Overall Good. One stop on the Metro to Vieux Lyon - well worht a visit for the architecture, the history, the food and drink...

Excellent rapport qualité prix. Dans un quartier à priori excentré et peu vivant (mais calme), on découvre qu'à 3mn à pied, il y a une station de metro qui un arret plus loin vous emmene au vieux Lyon, en passant sous la colline de fourviere. Assez bluffant. J'y retournerai, si les prix restent aussi bas.

Hotel da consigliare. Un po' distante dal centro ma la fermata metro Gorge de loup vicinissima. Noi siamo arrivati il primo maggio, clamorosamente non c'era nessun mezzo pubblico, taxi introvabili e farsela a piedi fino alla città vecchia è stata dura. Il giorno dopo con i mezzi tutto benissimo. Colazione costosa e nessuna possibilità di farla nei paraggi.

Situato ad una sola fermata di metrò dal centro cittadino, e dotato di un ampio parcheggio ad un prezzo corretto questo albergo costituisce la soluzione ideale per visitare Lione. Il rapporto qualità-prezzo è buono e la cortesia e disponibilità del personale apprezzabili. L'unico neo: l'entrata dell'albergo appare trascurata con parecchi mozziconi per terra, un aspetto questo, facilmente migliorabile.

Very close to metro and 1 stop away from city. Great restaurant next door but unfortunately not open on Sundays. Room was very good, king size bed.

We had a double with a rollaway, for one night.. the room was fine for us.. a comfortable bed, parking included , and clean. the staff are very friendly , we would stay again..

Comfortable, business-type hotel with a perfect metro connection to the old town. The rooms are clean, quiet and seem to be recently renovated. The connection with the city centre is a one stop of metro (the station is 3 min. away from the hotel). If you come back at night expect to pay ca. 12 EUR for the taxi. Although the hotel is missing the charm of the Old Town hotels, it is a reasonably priced alternative to them.
